Olive actually does show up in the morning. It's somewhat unclear how or where she slept, if at all, but the wish for a change of scenery is stronger than the wish to keep annoying the staff of the Pleasant View Inn. The backpack laying at her feet has the distinct shape of an upside down T - a bedroll and two bottles of wine, not much else.
She'll be at/near the head of the pack in terms of marching order - not because she knows what she's doing, but it seems her natural place. And in term of watches, she doesn't offer, but if needed she'll take the first one in the evening.
Kai suggests that he walk towards the back middle as well take one of the last watches. Sometime closer to dawn as he prefers to wake up early anyway. His pack is strapped like a tinker's pack with alchemist tools and an herbalism kit strapped to the outside. He seems fairly chipper and is leaning against a wall plucking at an unfamiliar tune. Muttering something that rhymes with 'Kallak'.
Rixtoncomes back downstairs at the last possible second when the group is about to leave without him. He arrives unhurried and utterly lost in thought. "What are we waiting for?" he says. "Having second thoughts?"
Rixtonkeeps erratic hours of sleep. He will assist anyone on their watch or totally beg off of watch duty. He will march in the second or third position in the group.
The night passes, you all sleep as well as you can. You wake up early the next morning, you all get a nice solid breakfast in your bellies. Rixton passes his book back to Billy who thumbs through it a little and tucks it in his apron to return later. You all set off east on foot.
MARCHING ORDER: Kallak Olive Rixton Kravek Palisade Kai Song

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
"Rixton Pendrift, at your service," the half-elf said three days ago. He was the last to arrive and the first to speak which, for anyone that knew him, was par for the course. "I specialize in murder, although I've solved a robbery or two as well. Oh, and once a kidnapping. Frankly, there is a pattern to crime, as I've learned in my studies. It is almost always a husband or a spurned lover or a jealous relative. It is my experience that relations are the fulcrum on which crime pivots."
The next day, as the others emerge from their tents, he picked up where he left off. "I don't mean to disparage relatives entirely. But it does take the mystery out of it when people act so predictably. Now, a mystery of political intrigue...that offers new avenues..."
Rixtongestures with his breakfast spoon as he speaks and departs the camp as quickly as he began speaking. Nobody is entirely sure why, although the sounds of nature accepting his call soon answer their question.
On the second day, Rixtonspontaneously continues his diatribe in the middle of the afternoon. "My main concern is that there isn't a crime, per se, so my talents may be wasted on this venture. That said, it is an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of international politics. And it doesn't hurt to have a king owe you a favor."
On the third day, as they encounter the bugbears and the results of their vicious attack, Rixtonfinishes his monologue. "And, of course, it is a chance to encounter criminals outside the context of the domestic. For a fine example..."
Rixton'sgestures to the gruesome scene as his hand gravitates to his rapier, but then he remembers his new weapon and he pulls that fluidly from his pack instead.
As Rixton introduced himself Kravek will have done the same three days ago.
I am Kravek Thuliaga from the town Fjellesse in the high north. Fjellesse means 'mountain forge' in Giant. I work in the smithy there and am part of a group that delivers ore and goods to other cities in the north.
He will leave it at that for the first day. Obviously hes not as much of a talker as Rixton but will listen when others speak. Kravek makes no introduction about his skills as a warrior. He assumes people will see when they look at him so there is no value in talking about it some more.
Somewhere on the 2nd day he will mention I have rarely travelled outside the north, these lands are strange to me.
Each evening before they go to bed or after a late meal Kravek will be seen taking out his runestones. Taking a moment to himself, speaking a few words or none at all. A shorter moment then that in the Inn before there journey started.
As they approach the dead horses and notice the bugbears Kravek will extend his arms in a shielding manner to stop those behind him (Palisade, Kai, Song) from walking forward for a moment making sure they see the treat. He will then take the shield of his back preparing for what comes next.
Once people start introducing themselves, Olive just blurts out, "Right, we are doing that now. I'll tell you what you've probably heard already, but you've also probably heard a lot of bullshit."
"Yes, I'm from a noble family, yes we went to a leisure trip in the inner sea like we did each spring. Yes, something happened and everyone died but me. Yes I was then sent to the damn private druid boarding school. 'Nature will do you good' my ass! And yes, I got out as soon as I turned 20 and tried to drink myself to death at the Pleasant View Inn."
She sighs, "And yes, I ran out of money and failed at that as well as everything else I have done."
She then finishes the last of her "provisions", throws the bottle away into the night and ends the "announcement" with, "And yes, that was my last one. So I'm not going to be my pleasant self in the coming days. ****!"
Song would also have been happy enough to chat “Song Nzkong, and this” gesturing to the Pseudodragon in her hood“is Djoda. I’m from Ailaži, it’s a crappy town on the border between north and west. I did whatever got me paid - finding people who don’t want to be found, ensuring people pay their debts, making sure the rowdy folks do lot get too out of line. Decided to see if there was more to life than punching dumb-ass thieves that don’t pay the guild’s cut” She’ll talk to Kravek about life in the north and the journey down south, to Rixton about crime and politics, and join in any other conversations open to her. Over the few days of travel, you’d probably catch sight of some of her larger scars, including a palm-sized burn to her shoulder. The scars are healing oddly, with bronze scales starting to replace scar tissue.
Seeing the bugbears, she’ll swear in disgust - this is just unnecessary. She’s worked with bugbears before, and they’re generally not too bad if they get their naps. She’ll make sure her shiny new wand is in her hand and that she’s neatly behind the shields.

During the first day as they travel, Palisade focuses on his map as seemed to be normal for the Warforged. If someone looked at the map they would notice that it was well worn with all the words written in dwarven runes and if any of them by chance could read it some was in the internal language of devils. Malizath decides to hide this entire time but is actually listening in on the rest of the group while invisible or in the form of a bird.
"I am called Palisade in commo, I have another name in dwarven that only is to be known to me as it is personal. My rather uncontrollable familiar is Malizath the imp. As I have said he is harmless but keep an eye on your valuables as he is attracted to things that he thinks will be worth his while or can be traded for power."
As they come across the horrific scene he paused long enough to glare forward and then begin to mutter as arcane energy begins to crackle in his hands. He will then point at the Bugbears and if they are close enough cast Shatter on them and if not he will blast the first he sees with Eldritch Blast.
Shatter: 11 or half of they fail a DC 14 con Save.

The two bugbear chiefs take on the spell with might. They were approximiately 60 feet away, so Palisade has stepped toward the front with Olive and Kallak. They both run forward 30ft and throw javelins at: 3, 1

Rixtonwalks toward the closest of the bugbears, drawing his rapier with his free hand, the spear in his off-hand. He studies the bugbear as he approaches. He cocks his head, as he meets the bugbear's eye, letting his gaze drop to the creature's right leg, which he has drawn back, shifting his weight forward. This in spite of a right-handed throw he made a moment ago. Rixtoncompletes his approach and strikes without slowing his stride. First, he feints to push the bugbear onto his weak leg and then slashes from throat to kidney with his sword.
Insightful fighting (contested by the bugbear's deception): 18
Rapier Attack: 6 Damage: 5 + 6 on a successful insight challenge.

Kai slips to the side of the road drawing his hand crossbow. He waits a moment for the others to engage then let's loose his first attack on the heels of Rixton's. Using the swordsman's feint as a chance to strike at a vulnerable section in the bugbear's armor. Immediately he begins to move around the right edge of the conflict staying just out of melee. He keeps his eyes on the surrounding area for more attackers.
When everyone else is talking and finally introducing themselves, in their own ways, Kallak will say,"anyone know what this 'tome' actually is?" She then looks intensely uncomfortable and doesn't speak again for the rest of the day.
Instead of hard tack and rations, the party gets to feast on real, hearty food every evening. Each morning and afternoon, ranging along the path of their travels, Kallak will spend her free time roaming the grassland, in and out of copses of trees, returning with tubers and vegetables, fowl and other game, handing her catch to Palisade to hide away in the bag of holding. When they begin to make camp at the end of the day, she'll pull out her cooking supplies and calmly begin cooking a surprisingly tasty stew, making full use of the fresh ingredients and spices she brought along. She will refuse to clean up afterward, leaving it to the two or three people who have been least polite in her presence. What doesn't turn into soup gets folded into some fairly decent breakfast leftovers in the morning.
To Rixton's first contribution/outburst, she says, "murder's interesting." She then goes for a walk, completely nonplussed.
When Kravek introduces himself, Kallak says, "Fjellesse makes good metalworks. Favorite of Kupow Enterprises."She gives him a nod of true respect and familiarity, and a searching look to try to remember if she'd seen him at the forge during a supply chain inspection, or perhaps out in the frozen range ahead of a storm front.
[acoolnamehere did you change text color to Kallak's?]
When Olive begins speaking, seemingly a bit more honestly, Kallak will listen attentively, saying nothing.
She'll wave at Djoda, Song's pseudodragon, when introduced.
When the bugbears begin approaching, she'll call out in goblin, "Tell us what you're doing here, or the day will go badly for you. These people aren't very nice."
After one of them takes a swing at her missing terribly, she says, "I'm not feeling very nice either," and she lashes out without thinking with her axe.

After everyone has done there actions Kravek will raise his shield in the air calling out in Giant (using Haug)

The clublike engraving on his shield begins to glow faintly for a moment then a slight glow covers Kraveks body for a moment.
He then rushes forward pulling out his hammer along the way and tries to engage with the bugbear that is not being attacked yet (if possible Kravek will try to position himself between both to engage both of them).
Kravek will then attack the healthy bugbear with his hammer Attack: 19 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
You can all here Song swearing under her breath and see Njoda fly up out of range like a little green dart. She'll then take a step back and cast Crown of Madness, twinning it to affect both bugbears. Wis13 save - if either fail, the instruction is to attack the other bugbear with all their might and not stop until it's paste.
