"No waiting is not an option. I shall find another shop that is more willing to work with me for my master. He shall not at all be pleased that his demands were not met. It is unfortunate for you as he plans to buy thousands of gold worth of items in order to go on a trek for the king..." With a shrug and a look of almost sympathy for the elf, Malizath goes invisible once more. "Oh before I go can you recommend another shop?"
"Yeah, head over to the forge district, don't go too far in... about the third or forth stall. Head in they have some great stuff. Just walk passed the counter and stick your head into the forge and jump in."

"Now I will give your name to my master. Unfortunately for you elf when I do it shall travel through the ears of the nobles that your shop is one to be blacklisted. Mayhaps he shall tell the king that you were not helpful. He was told you were one to understand that wizards are busy and can not often be bothered to attend to such things on there own but that was clearly a lie." Malizath appears once more before moving to leave the shop.
"Hmm...," Rixton says, looking up from his book at the imp as it makes its way to the warforged. "You're little friend didn't get away with something. You have much practice smoothing over his...indiscretions?"
"He usually solves his own trouble or most people tend to ignore him. Just let him sulk and watch your valuables whenever he is to close." Palisade says as he gives the imp a look to shut Malizath up before he tries to argue.
ooc: alright, looks like things are starting to wrap up for the night for you guys. i can start writing up the next little bit tonight or tomorrow. Just going to wait for the last shop interaction and if he has anything to post at the tavern with the rest of you -- sorry again for missing that post acoolname
Things to think about:
Marching Order
Nightly Watches (there are 7 of you so you and you only need 4 watches to cover a whole nights rest, so team or solos whichever)
I don't have anything else but there is probably something -- if there is let me know :P
y'all have been hilarious and this has been a lot of fun so far.
After no one else takes up Kai's suggestion to share deep personal secrets like their names and basic professions with the group, Kallak looks at him, shrugs, and then pulls out her savage-looking battleaxe that has seen better days. She uses oil, cloth, and whetstone to sharpen the blade, humming quietly to herself.
Once things wrap up for the day and assuming no one talks to each other, she'll head up to her room and sleep. The group she's found herself with seems odd, and may not be worth the words she wasted on them. Most seemed to be trying to swindle shopkeepers, argue with each other, or lurk in the background. It's not often she takes the bait and speaks more than a word or two, and she did it twice today, which might be a record, an neither time did anyone acknowledge her. She'll be along for this task the king set her on, and it might turn a profit or show her something new, but otherwise, this group might not even survive the path to the tome. She sleeps fitfully, wakes with the dawn, and is ready to move out, happy to take point in the marching order.
She's familiar with the general area from her various trips for her family's company -- what sort of terrain and development is between where they are and where they're going?
On your journey to the ferry you would expect flat lands. Lots of grassy field. Dirt paths and roads. Some small forested areas. But mostly grasslands. Easy ride out. Once you arrive at your destination you expect swamps and marsh

Kai sighs and puts his paper away. "Well, Kallak the Kleric. Nice to meet you. Hopefully we'll meet some more people in our travels." He gives a wry smile. As the cleric shrugs and goes to sharpening her weapon, Kai pulls his lute from his case and strums it a few times to get into tune. He gives Rixton a bit of a nod and picks out a steady rhythm, "One..." (Link to youtube music video)
As the night starts to roll in Kai sticks around to do a set in the bar. (Performance20) He feels good about the performance but his nerves about this 'adventure' clearly comes through in his playing. Hopefully he can sleep it off by morning.
Rixtonawakens in a room that could not possibly have been clean the night before. Yet, he has some vague memories of unpacking his backpacking and testing out his weapons on the furniture. He leaves the mess to get breakfast and tea to clear the fog from his mind. As he passes Billy, he tosses the kid the book. "You should read it. It's actually pretty insightful," he says.
He orders eggs, runny, as well as ham, potatoes, tea, and a crumpet with extra butter and jam to be delivered to his room. Then he shambles back up to his room and begins trying to pack the maelstrom back into his backpack.
Kallak raises her eyebrows and shrugs back at Kai, with a faint half-smile.
When Olive approaches and asks about the tankard, she nods and pulls it out of her pack, holding it up. Asked whether they have met before, she squints, frowns, scanning through her memory, and finally shakes her head slowly. The frown disappears and she smirks a bit, rolling her eyes good-naturedly. "Kallak," she says, offering her hand for a shake.
In the morning she thinks through the path ahead and when she's been through the grasslands in the past. Plenty of game to hunt, some copses for tubers and vegetables for a stew, and she remembers some good places to get clear water along the way. Enough for herself and a few others with really no effort, just a bit of exploring. She darts out to a general store and fills up on some spices and basic cooking equipment that would make a campfire stew easy with what she finds along the way. (She has the outlander background and can supply food and water for up to 5 people with no effort every day. She's also cooked for herself a lot and realizes spices mean the world to travelers.)
Palisade simply finds himself a table the next morning and takes a seat, reaching into his new Bag of Holding and pulling out a few of the things he had stored in it so far, this being the smoking pipe he had messed about with the day before. He carefully pushes a few tobacco leaves into it and then lights it with a help from Malizath who is still caught up on his failure to get the wand.
As smoke starts to rise from the pipe it begins to form into shapes until it shows a rather elderly dwarf working at a forge and with various other tools to construct various inventions. Just as it winks out shows things from the Warforged own memories, mainly digging up rare items in old ruins.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

“Thank you kindly, that’s very generous of you. Here’s your three patches. Can I also trade you a silver coffer for a wand of magic missiles and a health potion, or are we done?”
Far later than everyone else, Song ambles back to the inn, grabs another bacon sandwich and a beer, and settles herself in a corner of the taproom to people-watch, before heading heading up to bed. In the morning, she puts on the robe underneath her standard cloak and heads down to see what’s going to explode this time.
happy with the deal and impressed by your non-hesitance to rip patches off. He fetched the wand for you and give you one of the potions from the patch you pulled and takes the silver coffers.
(As an aside, when she pulls the patches off, they instantly turn into whatever they are - so in the middle of that negotiation, there’s suddenly a large, very surprised, horse in the middle of the shop - which made further negotiation a bit awkward. While she’d be happy to deal with it for him, there’s a limit to how far you should push your luck :D)
As Kravek wakes up early in his room he will check he has his stones and belongings in the bags as he left them the night before.
He will get some bread to eat for breakfast and find himself a place just outside the inn. Here he will sit and use his whetstone on his axes to make sure hes prepared for the journey ahead.
With swift swipes he drags the whetstone across the axe's blade watching the people start their day. Kravek will wait till the group gathers within view and then go there.
(If already needed Kravek will be somewhere in the front of the group, not leading the way but in front none the less. )

Olive:
"Sorry, I'm already broke," Rixton says in reply. "I might be able to get some coin from my father if we can find him. But he is...elusive."
The imp returns to Palisade and grumbles to himself as he lands on the shoulder of the Warforged archaeologist.

Correct. The scroll is protection from evil and good
