Kai slips in behind the big creature a pulls a short sword from under his cloak. His movements shadow the bugbear Rixton is engaged with for a few motions then he takes a jab at an exposed joint.

Now that we are closer, can Kallak see what the thing is, if there are other things near the horse/cart? Also up close does she see anything she recognizes about the bugbears? She's from the north and would know some bugbear tribes by sight. And also worldbuilding question - how often are bugbears seen this far south, and when they are, what are they up to? Kallak would not like to just kill them on sight. Happy to use her action to take a look at horse/cart/thing/bugbears, while still trying to speak in goblin to the bugbears, making the case that the fight is over and they should give up, and asking them what they are doing there.)

(It looks like it WAS the bugbears tearing at the horses, which raises different questions.)

Maybe you are right MD! I read it that there is something eating the horses and then the other figure keeping watch was in fact the two bugbears. But I might be totally wrong...

OOC: one bugbear was watching while the other was tearing at the horse.

Both Bugbears still standing looking cut and bloody and weak. One of them starts to look confused and looks around as if he is looking for something.
