Tez hauls himself onto the half of the boat and inspects the bodies to see if any are alive and investigating their belongings. He also tries to determine how they died.
"Well, well.. what a lovely sleeping couple we have here. I think it would be wise to bind them and let them rest. I hope they will have lovely dreams"
OOC: Generally Snus did not hide that he was casting this spell but he also did not over show it. He prefers to be seen as harmless prestidigitator. So i assume that only 'Arcane wise' people will get it. Did Bellows got it? that is to you DM ;) retrospective stealth23
Yensen replies " I wonder if it's the same Gnome we talked with at the tavern. That ship is sure ratty, about what I imagined his ship to look like."
You move at a quickened pace up to the Grinning Dawn. The ship is small, but well kept and looks sturdy enough. The Grinning Sun flapping in the breeze seems to be singing a tune of welcome.
" Ahoy there, I be Captain O' the Grinnin' Dawn. Johan Smeet me mother named me. What can me do for ya fine gents?" You hear as Captain Smeet steps off a rope ladder and onto the dock.
the people appear to have died horribly. There is what appears to be a dagger sized tooth lodged in the wood of the starboard tunnel. You find few things among the corpses, as the ocean is a dutiful cleaner. You do find a decent knife on the belt of one of the more intact bodies. You figure if there is anything of use or value left on board, it must be in the cargo hold under the deck, in the darkness. There is a hatch leading down just aft of the mast base
( Ooc Snus- Bellows knows he didnt do it, and he recognizes Lias casting so he would conclude it was your spell that did the deed, but he didnt see how you did it.)
Bellows finds a small belt pouch on Mange containing 30gp, 50sp, and 235 cup. He also has a rusty dagger and a set of manacles. On the unnamed thug there is a bull whip tuckinto his trousers in addition to the club he had been playing with. Also inside his shirt pocket is a small envelope containing a key and a note.
"Not sure..." Lia will say with a shrug, massaging the wrist the man grabbed. "For now I think we best get somewhere out of this alley, and make sure we are ready for that meeting in the morning..." she does not seem phased at all by the action of the two men and leaves the tieing up to the other two.
Bellows will attach an end of the manacles to one foot on each of the thugs and just leave them there. As Lia suggested, he goes to leave the alley and continue to the marketplace where the 3 can split the new money provided by these northman thugs
I will be offline for a few days so we will pause until Sat. It will give me a chance to finish building the upcoming encounters. Those in Luskan will link back up shortly for the Hosttower visit. Svern and Tez will continue surviving and developing the plot on the Island they are marooned on. I will have some maps and an illustration or two ready to go by Sat.
Snus, Lia and Bellows leave the thugs attached to each other in the alley and make their way to the Market place for supplies ( and any other side tasks your characters would like to do) and then they will head back to the Broken knuckle to await Yensen and Mikhail and see what they turned up at the docks.
Yensen and Mikhail are meeting with CAPTAIN Johan Smeet to schedule a voyage to the sea around Mintarn and Skadaurak Islands to find a reef that isnt a reef.
Svern and Tez are marooned on an undisclosed Island, checking out a wreck to see about gathering some supplies and equipment after having escaped via accidental teleportation from the Tower of Abernath
Bellows is happy to have been able to find most of the ingredients to make a batch of potions to trade or sell, luckily those northman hooligans made that less a priority with their kind donation.
Lia, Bellows and Snus head back to the broken knuckle to order some food and wait on Yensen and Mikhail. While purchasing herbs, Bellows learned that Mirabar is the district across the bridge where most of the warehouses are located. The warehouses are all numbered from 1-30
Tez shows pure mastery with his thieves tools and easily opens the lock to the cargo hold. The sea birds take off as Tez slides the cargo hatch to the side. It ismpitch black down in the hold and he cant hear anything other then the sloshing sound of water striking the hull as the waves pass by. Svern sits worriedly on the shore, hoping his creation doesnt get into any trouble before he has been properly tested for functions. It pleases Svern to see how well Tez is doing so far
As you lower the lantern into the hold you can see it is sectioned off by closed doors there isna ladder that takes you down into the hold. The immediate room there are some Intact barrels lashed to the side of the hull, and the water in here is about knee deep. You see some paperwork and some bits of clothing floating in the shallow water . There is a door to the left and to the right of the ladder, both are closed.
The papers are bits of cargo and passenger lists, mostly unreadable due to the water. one barrel is labeled potatoes, the other is flour. The door is not locked. You open the door slightly and a rush of water forces the door open all the way.

"WH 13, Mirabar"
Bellows
"Yes, we should tie them up...maybe in a compromised position..."
"We will keep this fee for the lesson they just got taught. I am sure it will come in handy" he says as he stuff the pouch inside his robe.

Tez:
Tez lights(or tries to) a candle using his tinderbox, and descends into the darkness, his candle should light the whole cargo hold.
What is inside?
Edit: He actually has a lantern and uses a small amount of oil(about 1 minute worth) to see in the dark.
