Bowark starts upon entering the chamber, not expecting the brightness. "Watch yourselves, there are plenty of hiding places in here."
She takes a closer look around the area of the cavern that she can see as a precaution. (Perception: 8 )
As the group walks by a group of crystals, Bowark examines one closer, without touching it, to see if it matches any magically-inclined crystals she would have heard about. (Arcana: 9 )

"This place is beautiful."Garrin takes a moment to drink in the stunning nature of the room, filled with light. He had never imagined that such a sight would be found deep in the earth.
"Huh? Uhhh... Maybe? I haven't been to this part the world before. And earth singing was more brothers thing... Odd one, that. But to each his own."Jolly comments on idly while squinting at the closest crystal. "I got an odd feeling about these though. So, uh... Try no touch'em?" He requested while looking them over.
Bowark is unable to locate any traps of any kind while carefully stepping around the chamber, and none of the heroes have any idea about the crystals; they don't seem natural, could be magical, but noone can be certain. The cave terminates in another tunnel leading further in.
Valik turns to the group, "Let's go guys, I don't think there is anything here. We should keep going down the tunnel. There are a lot of people counting on us."
He stays near Jolly but moves anxiously, those who know him understand it is his natural restlessness.
Garrin nods and scouts further ahead. The tunnel proceeds forward about ten feet before terminating in a T-junction; to the right the tunnel seems to go about 15 feet before opening into another, larger chamber. To the left, it goes 5 feet before a short, straight stairway, about 5 feet long and up, terminating at a door carved with an image of a kraken bursting from the water and dragging two halves of a ship into the depths of the ocean.
Jolly pats Valik's shoulder along the way, and offers a comforting smile prior to letting go. But no more, knowing they two would need their wits about them going forward. Whenever Garrin gets back to the group about the paths, or perhaps having filed in forward enough to see, Jolly starts looking at the tunnel walls more closely to see if they appear more damp than they should for how far the group has entered it.
Jolly doesn't find anything unusual in that vein regarding the tunnel, though in the other chamber can be heard the sound of water droplets hitting the cave floor.
After finding the door, Garrin returns to the group and lets them know about his findings. "You know it worries me a little, first a giant skull, now a Kraken. Why can't the doors have nice things, like piles of gold or tables full of food?" Garrin looks around at the group. "I am pretty certain that the book we are looking for is going to be behind a door of some kind, not just out in the tunnels. So, do we start checking every door, or do we go looking for ones that look most likely?"
"I feel I would be more suspicious of a door in a Lich's home that simply displayed a pile of gold or food. I say we open this door. We might as well bite the bolt, Bowark could probably take a look first." Valik looks to the Half-Orc.
Bowark lets out a hearty laugh at Valik's comment, "I'm with Valik on this one, I think I'd rather take the kraken." She makes her way up to the door and crouches in front of it. "Now let's see here..."

Bowark really sees absolutely nothing threatening about this door. Looks like a great door to be opened. Don't see any odd things about the door. Sure, go ahead, somebody, open it.
"If all of that's the case, we probably should've gone through the skull door." Jolly comments on as he began fishing around idly for more pebbles to enchant. "Though, I guess we could even be looking for like, keys too. Little Mama Dimble used to have a buncha of'em back home to keep the lil' chittlins from getting up trouble." He goes on, turning his back to the group to keep an eye on the opposing chamber while they worked out who would open the door. "Or maybe... maybe the doors are like, uh, a trick themselves?I'm... I'm starting to get a headache thinking all these weird things.

Bowark straightens to her full height. "Well, it looks fine to me! Maybe this'll give us some answers, eh Jolly?" With that, she moves to open the door.

Bowark is snatched up by the ectoplasmic tentacles! He feels a dread run through him as purple energy begins to pulse through them...
[Bowark has first initiative here and has already gone. Bowark is Restrained . Other three of you, chime in with any actions you want to do before the tentacles get their 'move']
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jolly is slow to react, having been focused on watchign the flank. But realizing Bowark's trouble, a wide-eyed firbolg would start pushing people aside just to grab and start pulling Bowark away from the tentacles. "No! Bad Squid Door! You let go of friend now, or Jolly be not so Jolly with you anymore! " He paused for just a second. "N-not that I was -- that you.... You know what I mean!?"
Jolly grabs the Goliath and locks onto him for dear life in a crushing bear hug; unfortunately despite his strength, the magical bonds still hold Bowark. But it doesn't seem like the tentacles will be able to pull Bowark closer to the door, either...
