The Valley of Ends

I think we will go back to the last intersection and then down tunnel #7. Maybe try to use the lense to fix one of the lanterns.

Resfraen will take a closer look at the lens as they pass the lanterns and see if it will possibly fit. "There are more to these lanterns that I just can't quite figure out yet. I wonder if we will find more lens's or lanterns in this place." She says as she looks around the room to see if there is space for a secret door somewhere.

Handing the Lens over to Salys, he pulls the lens off the lantern he took earlier and pops in the new crystal lens with a snapping sound. On the way back through the dark tunnel, the lantern with the new lens do not affect the darkness however. 

The room is filled with webs and there seem to nothing standing out and the webbing makes looking around hard without setting everything on fire or hack and slashing everything. 

Salys will follow along for now, "It may be worth it to try and identify the lanterns, lens, and altar, if we want to take the time."

(Minor mistake, the alatar is shwoing transmutiation magic)

casting Identify on the lantern and lens finds nothing of note about them. identifying the altar, the effect seems rather simple fabricate. After a period of time, it will  fabricate you suspect a lens if a lens is removed from the altar.

"So the alter makes lenses." Gotch says with a shrug. "Seems useful, but not overly interesting." He nods. "Let's head back and try tunnel 7."

Backtrack a tunnel and back into lanternr room before going back tunnel labeled 7. Coming out the darkness is followed by nothing special. Another clearing with two tunnels labeled 14 and 15. The feature in this room is a ragged skeletal body pinned by several arrows to the wall. It's clothed in very old remains of a leather armor. 

Resfaen will look about the room particularity the wall on the opposite side of the dead body, looking for arrow holes.

Perception: 13

Refaen carefully keeping a distance from the wall, look at the opposite walls but sees nothing that would fire arrows, be holes or hidden contraption or illusion. 

Onyx will have a close look at the skeleton (10 investigation) before he moves down the next corridor (14).

Onyx gives the skeleton a very quick once over before moving away and towards the tunnel, this time the one labelled 14.

What about the rest of the party?

Salys continues to follow along, waiting for some clue as to what they’re supposed to be doing here.

Gotch is keeping detect magic up as they go, too much of the place has been magical for him to let it down. He is also confused as to what they are suppose to be doing here too.

Something about a fire Efferti in a volcanic hideout  which turned out to be a series of numbered weird tunnels.

Travelling down the tunnel, the party emerged into a room just filled with manners of mundane items you would find in houses, stores, etc.  A few chests lays around, some open, some closed, a few pouches and satchels overfilled with random items. In the middle of the room is a goliath dressed in leather apron over leather armor, metal gauntlets and tinted goggles couched down seemingly sorting through the items without any signs of noticing you. 

[OOC: I believe we were sent to rescue a town that was under attack and then they directed us to this cave where we have to defeat the Efferti to save the town.]

Resfaen looks a little bit confused at the scene in front of her and then loudly clear her throat. "Hello."

Bounty: Efreeti - Hill Giant Belt Reward
A band of dangerous bandits led by an Efreeti has been raiding town and villages. Put a stop to them by any means for rewards. ]

The goliath looks over his shoulder before he seem to shuffle some things around and stands up, pulling a large bag over his shoulder. He stands looking at the party before tiling his head, "You're not part of the regular gatherers," he bellows, the room echoing his deep voice. From this point of view, you see he has a what looks like a hammer head that been twisted into a semi-spiral printed on the front of his apron. Several tools you've seen used by Salys use when forging are hanging from his belt.

Onyx replies: “No we are not, the boss hired us for a special job. It is a bit embarrassing to say, but Unfortunately we kind of got lost in here.”

The Golith shrugs, "I doubt your job involves me, I'm just grabbing some usable materials. The gatherers haven't been keeping up standards for their materials," The goliath grabs a candle stand sticking out and seems to inspect it before tossing it back into the pile, "Unless you are you need for a commission? If so, she is too busy to take them. If you're lost, just go back the way you came. Its not hard to get out,"

Onyx goes on: “But we don’t try to get out, we need to report to the boss, but we forgot where he is and all those dark tunnel confuse us.”

"I don't who your boss is or where he is. It's ain't part of the agreement. You gathers, we make and give you some of the stuff in remember. Even let you use this Black Tortoise base to work from," The goliath states before he reach for what looks like a spear and seems to jab a chest with the blunt end, "Down!" You sees the chest inching towards him by he impression of ash, "They are really jumpy today. At least the gas spore decoy is less aggressive. Tell your boss if he's in charge of the gatheres to get better stuff. this scrap is mostly useless," He moves towards the party and pass the party, ducking a bit as he enters the tunnels.
