Gulgus pulls out 50' of rope out of his pack to aid in the descent. If the walls are stone he will use Mold Earth to form hand/foot holds where needed along the way down.

Kysdiane just clicks his heels and activates his boots for another minute as he hovers down the staircase with ease. "I can keep watch at the bottom to make sure the rest of you aren't ambushed." Once Kysdiane reaches the bottom, he will deactivate the boots, and give himself some guidance as he keeps watch.
Avia takes a breather from her hard push against the wind and allows her younger companions to deal with this situation.
Lia takes out a rope and some spikes and begins to make anchor points to climb down (Climbing down the rope require a DC10 Athletics check(.
Gulgus, roll perception.
Kysdiane makes his own way down to the bottom of the shaft and keeps and eye out for any dangers. While he doesn't see any, he does notice some green lights through a window on a door to the east, moving in and out of sight in a regular pattern.

Kysdiane stays put until all of the others get down, but he sees if he can notice the pattern in the flashing green lights. He also calls up their existence to the others.

Gulgus and Lia descend using their ropes, but they are unable to get a solid grip on them. As a result, instead of a controlled descent, they end up sliding down the ropes, casing painful, but not debilitating, burns (10 fire -closest damage type I can think of - damage). Otherwise, they make it to the bottom.
Meanwhile at the bottom of the shaft, Kysdiane looks through the window to the next chamber to see what the green light is doing. The only thing is able to discern is that there are several lights orbiting, and even going in and out out of something. He is sure a pattern is there, but is unable to see any.
Gulgus takes a look around the shaft to see if the walls were natural. While they are made of stone, something feels... off and he doesn't believe his spell would have any effect.
Gulgus, shaking his hands from the pain, goes over and stands on his tip toes to peer through the window into the next chamber. He then looks about to see what egress there is from the bottom of the shaft.
Kysdiane nods, "We came this far, might as well go all the way." With that, the tiefling pushes the door open with his shield out in front of him and prepared for an attack.

Avia has been waiting, mixing some potions and putting away ingredients in different patterns (She's trying color coded now, but it's not working very well.)
(Okay, thanks. Just wanted to know because you were quite for a while)
Expecting some trouble, Kysdiane opens the door carefully. As he makes his way in, the green lights continue their business moving about the room and around some mechanism located in the center of the room, in predictable patterns. Seemingly completely apathetic to his intrusion.
He notes the number of light number in the dozens within a massive chamber looking to be several times longer than it is wide. In, fact is seems to be a larger room than the the inside of the hangar at the top. The mechanism they are moving around, from what he can see with his darkvision seems to be a large vehicle of sorts, similar in construction to the flying machines, seen earlier. Only even larger than the Pelican.
Kysdiane whistles softly when he sees the massive machine inside the room. "Were there any mentions of an even bigger flying machine?" The tiefling turns to those that had been there for longer and asks. He continues to move farther into the room if the green lights don't seem to respond to his presence, although he won't touch anything just yet.

As Avia can't do much in this situation, and is still a bit tired from her dash, she stays at the bottom casting guidance whenever needed.
