Lia and her spectral weapon have inadvertently adopted a strange strategy of switching which of them is able to hit this aberration. This time around, her dagger goes wide while she barely grazes it with her magic (spiritual weapon missed; 1 cold damage, halved by resistance to cold damage).
Renata opens up by sounding an ethereal dolorous chime.
WIS save: 17
(Yes, grapple advantage does apply here)
The living mess reacts as if it heard something, but otherwise doesn't seem affected. She then calls upon her god to bring out her own spectral weapon. The phrase "knowledge is power" comes to mind as the etheral tome slams into the odd thing. Keeping up its assault the large constrictor continues tightening its grip (9 force and 5 squeezing damage, latter of which is halved by resistance).

As if feeling some sense of preservation it tries to shake off its immediate assailants by briefly condensing and releasing a thunderous pulse.
All within 10 feet (including conjured animals) roll CON save DC 14. Failed save takes 9 and pushed back 5 feet. Success takes half damage and no push.
The Dire wolf is pushed back five feet and takes 9 damage. The wolf growl then Avia says "Get him boy, go!" She commands the wolf to move forward 5 ft then attacks with her acid splash
Acid Splash: The Static must make a DC 13 dexterity saving throw or take 2 acid damage.
Dire wolf: He goes back to the spot he was previously in, then he bites the Static. Attack: 15 Damage: 12
Kysdiane takes the full brunt of the thunderous pulse, but manages to maintain his concentration on the divine energy in his weapon. Stepping forward the five feet that he was pushed back, he plants himself in the ground and swings his flail back down upon the aberration.
Move Action: 5 Feet (Stopping in front of the aberration)
Action: Flail - Attack: 24 Magical Bludgeoning Damage: 7 Radiant Damage: 2 (Rolled with advantage because of restrained applied by Giant Constrictor Snake's grapple.)
Renata and her python both get pushed back 5 feet and takes 9 damage from the strong thunder force released by the living static. The python is hurled away, and the grapple ends.
The pulse knocks the Giant Hyena back 5 feet and it yelps in pain while the much smaller Jackal firmly stands it's ground. [I really thought it was bye bye Jackal time].
casts Produce Flame at the Living Static (E-5). Ranged Spell Attack: 13 Fire Damage: 9 + 7
The Giant Hyena rushes back forward (to E-6) and again bites at the static. Melee Attack: 15 Piercing Damage: 4 + 1
The Jackal uses it's pack tactics to bite at the static. Melee Attack: 17 Piercing Damage: 0
[OOC: I don't know what I did, but the original edited post had a critical for the Flame and the Hyena, but the dice I rolled in each attack was for the other one. I also had a 1 with the original flame damage (listed as the Giant Hyena's piercing damage) and missed with the Jackal completely. I believe the results should be: 8 Fire Damage and 23 Piercing damage halved by it's resistances.]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(@Mister_Grim: No problem, I figured that's what was going on. Also I think that rolling those other damage rolls may have been the issue. The system doesn't like dice rolls added in between already-rolled results. Just for future reference)
Resolving saves:
Most of those surrounding the living static had not anticipated its move and as a result, Kysdiane, Renata, and all of the conjured animals except for the lowly jackal were blown away from the chaotic mass (9 thunder damage to all above) . Lia and the jackal were able to hold fast against the sudden pressure. But it was still too much for the small creature, which collapses into dust (4 damage and jackal is defeated) With the python no longer wrapped around it slowly rises back up
Players' turns
Gulgus produces another tongue of flame and throws it at the strange thing, once inside it detonates. His hyena goes back in and savages it with a bite. (15 fire and piercing damage, already halved from resistances.)
Dex save: 9
As it rises Avia sends a blob of acid it way, which hits it straight on. At the same time her dire wolf resumes attacking it with ferocity (9acid and piercing damage, already halved by resistances).
Kysdiane also returns to the fray and greatly misjudges his swing, anticipating his foe to still be under Renata's python's control (advantage no longer applies, so I'm taking first roll, which unfortunately is a nat 1. Please roll an unmodified d20 lower than 10 will result on a flat -4 penalty to next attack roll).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Managed to find her footing, Renata quickly casts bless on herself, Kysdiane and Lia. The sacred light gently scatters on their bodies and quickly faded away. She brings up her spiritual tome and smacks down at the static again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Resolving save:
Kysdiane grossly over-swings with his flail which pulls a muscle in his arm. He feels his next swing would be doable, but more difficult (-4 penalty on next attack roll).
Players' turns
Trying to get this thing pinned down, Renata tries to tip the scales in her favor by incorporating some divine assistance before instructing her snake and floating book to attack once again. However, in its rapidly deteriorating state, it seems to be more aware of attacks coming its way and its ever-moving form narrowly dodges the strikes (both miss).
Lia keps up her magical assault, but similar to Renata's attacks they are also dodged by it (both miss).

Shock vs Avia Attack: 11 Damage: 10
Shock vs python Attack: 13 Damage: 8
Shock vs Gulgus Attack: 9 Damage: 3
One bolt hits Avia square in the shoulder (8 electric damage), a second one hits the python on its tail, making it flinch (3 electric damage), the third one is just barely dodged by Gulgus (miss).
Kysdiane swings his flail yet again at this amorphous creature, determined to bring it down. His arm is wincing though and so his attack is slightly less accurate.
Gulgus, with weasel still moving shoulder to shoulder giving his high pitched cry, moves near Renata (B-7) and after reaching out and laying a hand on her shoulder casts Cure Wounds (1st level). Cure Wounds: 8
The Giant Hyena again uses its bites attack. Melee Attack: 10 Piercing Damage: 1
Gulgus changes tactics and goes to give Renata some magical medical support (Renata regains 7 HP)
His hyena then tries to attack again. However, it is unable to pin down any part of the thing (miss).
Dex save: 12
It almost looks as if the loud mass was about to move away from the bubble of acid. However, the blob bursts on one of its edges (1 acid damage, already halved by resistance).
Her dire wolf makes another bite on it. The thing starts to fade in and out, as if it is struggling to exist (6 piercing damage, already halved by resistance).
Despite his fleeting arm pain Kysdiane is more than able to strike it with a fierce strike, bolstered by holy might (15 piercing and radiant damage).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Thank you," Renata appreciates Gulgus for his healing, she focuses again and directs a trace of frost beam at the static, along with another smack from her floating encyclopedia. Even though it is hard to tell how hurt this strange entity is by these attacks, the only thing she can pick up is the flickering of black and white that happens as the impact takes place.
