As the lead zombie thrashes his arm about through the opening, Lumen moves off to the side and takes and easy swing with his sword. With such an easy target, he easily chops the arm clean off in a spray of blood that spatters anyone near the door. The severed arm falls just inside the room where you are now, and having taken four types of serious injury in just a few moments, the zombie drops to the floor and quits moving.
The other three are not slowed down, and they keep pushing at the door with simple, mindless abandon and hissing, growling, gnashing mouths and blind expressions.

At this point, the lead zombie has fallen, but next one in line has not stuck his arm through the door. They're simply pushing, but at this point, between Chrys, Lumen and Vesper (someone can roll for Kess), you're able to match their strength and keep the door from opening any further.
Zombie strength: 21, 9, 2
So, at this point, it's kind of a standoff, although whoever is not pushing, can see into the room and has a visible sightline at the next lead zombie.
The arm is not still moving. However, no other zombies have stuck their arm through the door, and if you are one of the people trying to hold it shut, you're unable to see very far into the room.
So, at this point, Lumen, Chrys and Kess are able to keep the door shut. Krackle and Vesper can see into the room, and potentially fire spells at the zombies through the door, but at disadvantage, since it's a small opening. If you want to stand right up next to the door, you can negate the disadvantage and fire/cast regularly, but you would open yourselves up to being attacked through the door.
Those holding the door cannot see inside, they can only hear the zombies growl, hiss and bang against the door as they try to muscle against it.

Krackle would move to get a look through the open door. He would load a rock into his sling and give it a quick twril. "Don't worry! Krackle can help!" He would shout as he lets the small stone fly towards one of the zombies clawing at his companions.

Lumen, I'll say that you can try to reposition yourself, but you'll need to roll another strength check.
As the rest of you dig your heels in and press your shoulders against the door and the makeshift wooden barricade you've made, Krackle steps right up to the opening of the door and slings a stone at one of the zombies through the narrow gap. His accuracy is surprising, considering the he stone strikes the creature right in the middle of the forehead. It growls with a grumbling hiss, lurches forward and thrusts a blood stained hand forward, as it tries to claw and grab at the kobold. Its sharp, jagged nails draw blood from Krackle's arm before he can pull it back away from the door.
Attack: 13 Damage: 6
(Note: To clarify, while you're engaged in this standoff, attacks through the gap should be made at disadvantage, unless you want to open yourself up to attack in return. Krackle's attack was at advantage. I'll let it go, but the zombie gets to return the attack with advantage this time.)
Lumen, thinking of what he knows about zombies through stories, uses prestidigitation to create an image of a brain floating in the air, right outside the doorframe. About where the last zombie arm was that he chopped off. He's definitely seen someone's brain before -- his tribe was pretty brutal.
If a zombie arm reaches out to grab the brain, Lumen will attack with longsword again:
Vesper steps forward to fire another volley of magical missiles through the door, and as the arcane bolts leave her hand, they slam in to the zombie's chest with an explosion of reddish white light. The zombie reacts by trying to dig a chunk out of her arm as well. Fortunately, she's too quick, and she pulls her arm away with enough agility to avoid being struck.
Attack: 6 Damage: 7
Meanwhile, Lumen casts his cantrip and makes an illusory brain float just outside the gap in the door. The zombie sees it and goes crazy, trying to push and squeeze his entire body through the opening. He manages to get his head through, before Lumen brings his sword down with a vicious bloody slash right through the creature's neck. The head falls from the body and a spray of blackish red spills forth from the neck, soaking Vesper's torso with vile, disgusting zombie blood.
How could I not take let you take advantage of that awesome roll?! Don't worry, it will come around later. ;)

You are a just and benevolent DM!
Lumen looks at Vesper and says, "sorry about that."
He tries again with the brain image and the braining with the longsword. He's amazed it worked once, and doesn't expect it to work again but would absolutely try :)
Attack: 8 Damage: 5

(If Chrys can attack again, she would with her hammer, btw)

Eww gross, is the arm still moving?
Lumen will just keep attacking limbs with his longsword, and pushing to keep the door shut, hoping the furniture helps...

Mustering her strength, Kess moves to hold the door shut!

Can Lumen stay holding the door but pivot and risk getting hit in order to get a longsword strike in, or even a vicious mockery?

OOC: Wow. So that's a roll. DM I totally understand if you're not on board with my shot in the dark plan, but man, that's kind of amazing.
