"How long..." Axon says to the man, but sensing he needs more says, "..will the trip take?" Axon's hand rested on Shepherd and his fingers moved to pet the iron dog in an absent minded tick that had began forming since he built him.
Is anyone familiar with this biological entity, Drake Hound? I am not familiar with this creature, how do they compare to the abominations we faced in the Fiendfall?
Kastor nods along, taking in the information. He ponders to himself, "At least here we won't have to deal with the ambiguous morality of questionable mages, not knowing whether we're doing the right thing or otherwise. In the jungle, survival is key. If drakes attack you, you defend yourself." Kastor hated not knowing whether his actions were serving a greater good or evil, and he hoped to be less conflicted in this enterprise.
"Was a bit busy trying to get my crew out alive so I couldn't count them. Though I do know they were green, especially since they blended in with the jungle and surprise us." Kierran answers. "And we're going past Zilargo, Darguun, Valenar so it'll be a week on sea."
The sky cab starts to slow down, as the party can see the harbor of Sharn come into view as they make their descent. As the cab descends, Coral guides it towards a galleon with sailors going about around it, loading goods and prepping the ship. The captain waves to the crew as the cab comes to a stop.
"Lads! I've managed my end, how about you all? Is everything set for departure?" A dwarf walks up to him and gives a shrug, "We've got the cargo all done, just waiting on the first mate to come back with the wares we need."
"Ah...so that's what I forgot. He'll be fine, just forgot to give him lift."
"Darguun...Valenar...Zilargo," Hari mutters under her breath, doing her best to match them all up with her mental map. Her eyes widen slightly at the sight of the galleon, and she smiles to herself as she thinks about how many new things she will have to add to her dirge.
Sylvester starts to show his own excitement. “I’ve never been at sea for any extended period of time. This is going to be exciting.” Sylvester's thoughts however soon turn to dread as he has to spend a week in closed spaces with not one but two.
Kierran reaches down to pat the dwarf who waves him off, "This here is my quartermaster. We call him Anvil, not his name, but easy to remember."
The dwarf, Anvil, gives a sigh, "Also your shipwright and cook, so you'll see a lot of me." Anvil goes back to directing the crew, instructing them to be careful with the last shipment. It has a very strong smell, as it has twice the amount of people needed to carry it. One to carry and another to pinch both their noses.
And as Kierran leads you all on board, he gives quick run down of his ship. You all won't be bunking with the crew but you will have to bunk with someone in your party. Except for that one lucky person who gets a room all to themselves. Anvil makes breakfast and dinner, lunch if he has time. You can find Kierran in his quarters or checking on the elemental below deck. He does warn that sometimes the fish get a bit rowdy, but the ship should be able to out run them, most of the time. And as he finishes he look out over the ship, to Sharn.
"Ah, there he is, took his time to get here."
He goes down the gangway. Coming face to face with a familiar goliath, the same one from the guild. He groans as he rolls his shoulders, "You know how long it takes to get down here from all the way up there...a fairly long jog."
Axon looked at the Goliath and the Half Elf who would be their patron. He was confused why the two had put on the ruse, it seemed deceptive and rude to hire on someone after false pretenses. All the same the job would pay and Axon would be one step closer to his goals.
"Had to, especially since it isn't an official request." Kierran heads back up onto the ship. "I'm still a man of my word, just had a bit of falling out with Summer. Just a mistake, nothing to worry about. I just need to give her some time so she doesn't break my nose or more. And I'd go to your rooms cause we're going to set sail soon, I'm just going to wake up the shard." And with that quick reveal, Kierran goes into the lower decks, leaving you with the goliath.
He shakes his head before turning to you all, "My name is Driftwood, and I'm sorry for that. But he is correct, once he wakes up the elemental, it'll be a bumpy start. So buckle down for now, then you can ask your questions." He jogs away as he starts shouting orders to the crew to ready themselves.
Kastor is about to ask a question when Kierran and Driftwood both depart abruptly to organise the crew, leaving them to find their quarters.
"I'm happy to share with anyone, I really don't mind. I don't snore. At least, not that I know of. I mean, how would you know if you snored? Does anyone know who Summer is? I was going to ask, but he left pretty quickly."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I do not require slumber. I will require a dry location for equipment repair and preparation. I am curious about the modus operandi of this vessel. I have a vague understanding of ships, but I am unfamiliar with the use of elemental and shards in the pursuant of operation. I want to witness this occurrence, but with their words of warning I will make sure I am secure during this investigation. Please inform me to which room will accommodate me upon requirement.
Rusty will look for a location that he can secure himself with little chance of being tossed overboard.
Axon nodded to Conner, "That would be acceptable" he then went below to find a bunk for Conner and himself, to store away any non essential belongings and to secure himself for departure.
“How many Drake hounds did you encounter? Any particular color.”

"Seems like this will be a true journey." Nasaar comments as he takes in the ship.

Hari looks amused as the goliath showed up. "Heh, a clever story, if a little deceptive." The hobgoblin crosses her arms with a chuckle.
OOC: Hari would most prefer to bunk with Nasaar, since the other hobgoblin is intriguing her, but she doesn't push anything.

Axton, I know you don't need sleep like the rest of us do but i was wondering if you'd prefer bunking with me tonight?
