Tara nods. "Yes." She casts a brief, considering glance at the lizardfolk guard in the cell, then shrugs and switches her attention to the probably doppelganger. "We are not going to trust you, but you can come along...for now, provided you give us a full explanation of your employer and plot when we are no longer in imminent danger of being killed by fiend-worshipping lizardfolk." Without another word, she sets off towards the room where she was changed into the dress.
Jax would follow behind the group, keeping his eyes on the doppleganager. As they walk he would quickly pull out a small piece of cloth and after a few moments, a few words of glowing text would appear. he would then tap the two newcomers on the shoulder and show them the text while making sure not to let the doppleganger see. "Secret word is... *dragon name*" would appear on the cloth and once he knew that they had seen it, he would tap the cloth and cause it to disappear.
(ooc sorry, in a rush. Trying to make sure the new guys know our secret phrase before the doppleganager tries to shift into one of then. tara should remember what word we made it lol)
Annoyed, but not surprised by his inability to read the doppelganger, Lucky follows the group, feeling positive at the thought of being up above ground again, even in the desert.
You can give us a full explanation now, if you like, he suggests. I've certainly got nothing better to do, and would love to know why you tried to kill me. It's an unusual experience for me, or at least it was until the last couple of days.
The shapeshifter appears to be happy to listen to Virnen’s threats as he is freed. To Lucky’s request of information the Shapeshifter replies calmly “Don’t want to spoil all the fun, eh? I think that story deserves a bottle of whiskey and some shade. What do you think?” As he leans and slightly nudges Moxely “Feel like fetching us all a round once you get me topside?“
Saralyssa recalls the dangerous tales of shapeshifters and how deadly they can be. Impossibly tricky to track down as they can be anyone they have seen before. Some tales speak of them possessing low level telepathic capabilities, but that’s disputed.

With great haste and recall, Tara leads the group back to her room where her supplies were kept. The same fruit and food platter sit with a slight layer of volcanic dust over it.
Tara flatly ignores the food, grabs her dress, and ducks behind the screen to change as quickly as possible. The moment she's back in it, she breathes a sigh of relief and comes out, looking mildly more relaxed. "In Siberys' name, let's get out of here."
The gang deftly scuffles through the maze of tunnels in and through the tunnels. Ducking out of the way as small groups of lizardfolk patrols roam through looking for you.
Lucky is the last to duck into the side tunnel as Moxely pulls him in at the last second and keep the group covered in darkness.
The group reaches the part of the tunnel that has the hole that leads up to the surface. It’s 12 foot to the ceiling where the first foot holds can be grabbed. The shape changer looks around. “Well, it’s been fun” looking to Moxely “How bout a lift big guy?..... I can go first quietly..... if I have to wait, I don’t know how quiet I can be. I don’t know how much time we may have once those lizards start hearing some screams.”

Virnen gives the doppelganger the most intimidating glare he can. "You try anything, I'll put an arrow between your eyes."

Moxely would be walking behind the prisoner as well, to keep an eye on him, while also mentally trying to remember the word Jax showed him.
What does Saralyssa know about these shapeshifters?
