I’m apologize for making rolling mistakes. This is my first time with this type of play format, as such I am lacking in knowledge on what is the norm. Thank you for your patience and allowing me to learn.)

(Sylvester: I think the DM has been sharing the total damage on each zombie after our attacks, so after last round I did 4 damage and you did 9 damage so there's a total of 13 damage on the zombie -- DM correct me if I'm wrong! So in that case maybe you're fine to be adding damage bonuses.)
Nicola gamely shrugs off the damage, but stumbles a bit as she tries to right herself, taking a deep breath.
"Let's finish it!" she shouts to Sylvester. Out of the corner of her eye she sees Kastor get hit pretty hard by the zombie that he and Brozznan are tangling with.
"Hold on, you two!"
Straightening her back and setting her shield, she mumbles a more extensive set of prayers under her breath.

The party deals with the few zombies that had gotten in the village. With some wounds but ultimately victorious. "Over here!" You all can see Hans by an open house, with a number of villagers inside.

After Sylvester tells Brozznan of the daggers reliability, he'll push the zombie off his own blade. "Yeah, you're probably right," he says as he cleans off the blade. Brozznan will spit out a spat of blood onto the ground. "These creatures most foul are a force to be reckoned with it does seem." Brozznan will head over to Nicola as he sees her looking over the bodies. "Anything you've seen before...? These creatures?" Brozznan will dig through the pockets looking for anything that could provide any info.
Investigation: 21
Brozznan will then get up and dust himself off. "Seems the town is now aware of the issue. We should brief them on our purpose here. Maybe that will help rest the nerves of the folks here." Brozznan will remove his badge and pin it to his lapel and start making his way to the town hall.
Its hard to determine what kind of cult or people would raise such dead but Brozznan can determine with a quick glance over the again dead. That they are a hardy and strong but lack speed. Easily able to outrun them, a more concern is their number. And that it seems during their final moments they've struggled to become dead once more, until it met with Nicola's Sacred Flame.
As the party rejoins Hans, they see the villagers are talking among each other, talk of leaving the village and heading to the town upstream. But Hans claps his hands twice to gather attention onto him, "First of all, let me say sorry." There's visible confusion but they stay quiet, "I've known about the dead for a short while now and haven't told any of you. While I understand that shouldn't have been my decision, it was and I've kept that information from you all. And for that, I'm sorry." There a few accusatory remarks but Hans give a loud clap to silence them.
"I did so to ensure that the village wouldn't panic. Even if we all went to Moonwatch, they wouldn't have enough space for all of us. And I assumed the worst, that you all would fear for your safety and force your way into the town. Either getting you all hated, outcasted, or worse killed for rising against the lord. The better option would be to call for aid and buy as much time as possible. I've done the best I've can all on my lonesome to prevent them from coming closer and I admit, I failed. But it is not all for naught, for help has arrived. This party of adventurers are willing to help us. They've already proved themselves, in aid of poor Keral there. So let's not do anything rash or hasty, and keep our ground here."
There's a few murmurs among the crowd, somewhat not convinced. They are scared and aren't sure of your party.
Any may try to persuade the crowd to not abandon the village (Persuasion, Deception, or Religion check)
"Ahem, hello, I don't want to get in the way of town business, so if I could just say a few brief words. My name is Nicola, I'm a traveling priest of Boldrei, as I'm currently without a community to minister to. If I'm honest, we adventurers probably aren't the best advocates for sticking to your roots, considering we're sort of...always outsiders sticking our noses in someone else's business for coin. But I want to say, from personal experience, that it's lonely being far from home, unsure of if or when you might return. I hope you choose to stick it out here. You all have a lovely village. Community, roots, these are holy things, and I swear upon the goddess of home and hearth that I and my companions will do our utmost to drive away this evil that plagues you."
The crowd visibly calms down. As they look to their families and remember their times here, a few apologize to Hans as he denies it, saying that they don't need to. After a few minutes, Hans convenes with the party once more.
"Thank you for that. And although the dead got here, I've found something out. One of our more foolhardy kids, has apparently been to the grove. Although he hasn't been back there as he saw some shady folk hanging around there, with zombies in their service. So that confirms my suspicions of the grove, can I ask you all to head there? If you all want to take a bit of rest before going, feel free. I'm going to see if I can muster up a bit of defenses if they come again."
Would you like to take a short rest?
