"How shall we spend our day?" Catherine asks, doing her best to stay comfortable in the cramped little shelter. "This rain will make travel wearisome. If we rest now and wait for it to pass, we may arise at night, and seek out the sorceror under cover of darkness," she suggests.
Taking a long rest now will bring you all to about mid-dusk. If anyone wants to discuss anything or do any sort of activity, then let me know. If not, then I'll need four people to volunteer for watch.

During your watch, you remain somewhat tense. Light fog swirls out from behind trees causing you to assume the townsfolk found you, but only discover it to be from a gentle breeze making its way through the woods. The rain continues on through your watch and nothing catches your attention. Your watch comes to an end and you stir Arlo awake.
Arlo:
Your watch is mostly silent and uneventful. You do get startled at one point by a woodpecker suddenly pecking away at a nearby tree. Other than that, nothing happens. Your watch comes to an end and you wake Happy.
Happy:
During your watch the rain slowly comes to an end. Silence falls on the forest and the steam rises to the forest canopy, giving a bit of obscurity to your camp. Your watch ends uneventful, and you wake Sieghart.
Sieghart:
As you scan the area and keep an ear open, you begin to catch the sound of foot falls shuffling through the leaf ridden forest floor. You dip your head a little. About 25 or 30 ft. away you see the guard that held up in the manor room mindlessly walking through the forest towards the mountain. It doesn't look as if he is looking for you all, or prepared for a fight as his bow is slung across his back.
Not doing anything will bring us to the end of the long rest, or you can alert the group.

Seeing the guard, Sieghart initially ducks down to hide, but quickly comes out. There was no indication that he had spotted the group. Sieghart decided to approach him stealthily. Trying to capture him could help the group be better prepared for the danger awaiting them in the mountain.
As he moves, Sieghart will take out his sword.
Stealth: 6
Once he’s close enough, Sieghart will attempt to knock the guard out with the pummel of his sword.
You carefully make your way to the guard by stepping on patches of soft, wet earth. Getting right up behind him you raise your sword and slam it on the back of his head, causing him to fall unconscious. By this time it will be about a half hour before everyone would finish their long rest.

Sieghart drags the unconscious guard back to the group, disarms him and ties him up. As they wake up, he explains what happened.
"I saw this one walking towards the mountain during my watch. He’s one of the guards we fought earlier. I thought we could try to get some information out of him."
(sorry for the late response. Somehow i didn’t get the notification)
“Hm. I doubt he knows much. And I don’t care for holding somebody with this sort of magic around.” Arlo ruminates. “You know we can’t lug him around after, either...”
"Hmmph," Catherine muses, rousing from her sleep and regarding the prisoner for a moment. "This is dangerous. We know not what sorcery he may hold. If we must speak with him, then let us be quick about it. Should he remain enthralled, then we need end him swiftly."
For the rest of the watch the guard laid still and silent. You can't help but look at him, Sieghart. His skin appears to be slowly draining of color, much like that of a recently deceased person. Looking at his exposed skin you can see heavy bruising on the knuckles and around his face. From his nose is a smear of dried blood that had been wiped away. His chest raises and lowers with a quick, shallow breath, then nothing for a few seconds until they breathe again.
As you all wake and discuss what to do with him, he too stirs awake and glares at you all with bloodshot eyes and baring his teeth before saying, "You. DEAD!" He begins struggling against his restraints.

“A good plan.” Arlo says.

Happy tries to talk to his companions without the guard hearing it.
"If he does not tell us what we want to hear I could try to convince him with a Spell to do so."
