Lucas wraps the rope around his waist before continuing to move forward.
Dex: 16
Sieghart, as you pivot on a step to keep moving up, your foot begins to glide across the step, stopping within an inch of the edge. You've caught yourself, but it was close.
Continuing on, the next switch back comes at about 40ft. Pushing up further to the next one you all look out to the forest and notice that you are above most of the tree tops. The next switch back is again slick with water, but a thicker lichen that covers most of the area. Another Dex check (or similar check) will be required. The first one was fairly easy, but this one will be a bit more difficult. You are at about 60ft., so falling from here would not be conducive to living.
Arlo, you begin to carefully traversing the switchback. You take a step expecting it to be about the same as the last lichen, but find that it is a bit more slick. Your foot slides out to the side. Your sudden jerk to catch yourself throws Catherine off as she attempts to establish a higher anchor point by climbing to the next section of stairs. Unfortunately the stairs you grab onto, Catherine, are also covered in lichen, not setting you up for a great climb to begin with. Happy, as you start to move, you notice Catherine slipping. Attempting to adjust your feet to aid in bracing her, you momentarily forget the size of the stairs and take a misstep. You begin to lose your balance.
Sieghart and Lucas notice the devolving situation and aide in preventing Happy and Catherine from falling. Lucas attempts to shove Happy against the wall. If Sieghart likes, he could probably take the flat side of a sword, or his longbow and push Catherine against the cliff as well. Unfortunately, Arlo, you are to far away to be helped by those that can.
Dex saves needed from Arlo (straight), Catherine (advantage), and Happy (advantage).

Sieghart and Catherine manage to get a foothold again, but Arlo can't seem to stable footing on the lichen. Luckily though, Catherine thinks quickly and tugs on the ropes in Arlo's direction amidst his continued fall. The rope snapes taunt, stopping Arlo at a 20 degree angle off the steps. Catherine is strong enough to reel him back onto the stairs. You all take a moment to regain your composure. Looking down you see that you would have fallen into the pool of water far below. Might not have been as painful, but you all are safe now. Looking up the stairs end mid way between the next switchback and the falls.
If you all want you can assist each other by holding on to each others shoulds, guilding the other beyond the danger spot. Dex check would still be required, but all rolls can be made at advantage.

Before continuing his ascension, Sieghart ties part of his rope around his waist and passes it in front.
"Here. Tie this to you and pass it to the person in front. It’ll make climbing this mountain less dangerous."
(Dex roll as requested: 8)
Catherine nods as she moves ahead, passing the rope behind her and standing ready to anchor her companions as need be.

Yup. Arlo is nervous as hell after a fall like that. Slow and steady wins the race.
