"What do you make of this?" Catherine asks as she finishes reading the journal. "I am unsure what to think. It seems this place was sacred to Sul'dal, desecrated and overrun during its fall. Though still I know not what it bodes for Orbid and his designs..."
She fingers the ancient pages carefully, considering whether or not it will hold together if she were to take it with her. Whatever happened here, it is clearly of significance to Sullian history, and she would like to preserve the account if she can.
Still somewhat shaken by the image he saw in the mirror, Sieghart turns to his companions.
"I would agree with you. This would explain all the destruction we've encountered so far in this underground settlement. We'll have to report this back to the Margrave once we return to the Fort. We still need to stop Orbid though. I don't like the idea of someone like him being around here."
"Yes, let us continue," Catherine says, carefully closing the dead mage's journal and stowing it in her pack. "We must put an end to him while we have the chance," she agrees as the party makes their way back out of the room and over to the remaining unopened door.
If there are no objections, Catherine will push it open to see what lies on the other side.
You find no resistance as you push the door open. The dark room is illuminated by Sieghart's torch, and within you see a mostly empty and plain, stone walled space. It is roughly 15 ft by 15 ft. On the left wall is a circular depression that nearly reaches the ceiling. On it are words carved in Sullien that are essentially asking that the Ancient One watch over this sacred place and its peoples. To the right of the depression is a waist high pedestal with a basin on it. Looking in the basin, you see a small pool of dried liquid that is undoubtedly blood. There is also a smaller pool that looks a bit fresher that is maybe within the last day.
Looking at the fresher pool of blood, Sieghart says "This could be Orbid, he’s been here recently." He then studies the other dried pool of blood. He tries to figure out how long has this pool been there, and whether he can tell if it’s human blood.
Catherine investigates the Sullian inscriptions, relaying to the others that they ask for the Ancient One's protection--presumably Naphelsia.
"Blood offerings...." she mutters, examining the pool of dried blood. The sight of such things in her ancestral homeland, which she had long dreamt of, unsettles her. She thinks for a moment, trying to recall what lore she knows of Naphelsia, if any.
Sieghart, it looks like old human blood, but several other races share the same coloration. It does definitively fall under the category of civilized races though.
Catherine, you're unable to recall anything of this entity.

Upon hearing Catherine's comment, Sieghart has a grim realization. He goes over to the wall with the inscription and begins patting it for any sign of a hidden passage. He calls out to the others. "I think Orbid came through here. I think there's some sort of secret passage somewhere here."
While Catherine readily agrees with the assessment that Orbid passed through here, she doesn't know of any "secret passage." She watches Sieghart expectantly to see if he will find such a thing....
Patting around the area, you find that you register a thinner reverb within the depression, but you are uncertain how thin. With that realization, Sieghart and Arlo puts their ear up to the surface:
You both hear nothing, but what you do catch is the almost imperceptible waft of decay that comes and goes, near the edge. Looking to the edge of the depression, you notice a slight crease that would not have been noticed when viewing the surface straight on. This is in fact a door, and whatever is within does not smell pleasant.

If everyone is good with this plan, then I'll need a strong attack roll by Arlo. This is a 6' in diameter stone door with an unkown hinging point, so Arlo will need to channel his inner donkey for this.

"Well I guess we finally found the ruins!. Let's continue exploring and see if we can track down Orbid"

Lucas scans the surroundings and the other doorway to see if anything has a black or white halo surrounding it.
Catherine, you feel that if you close the journal gently and bind it with support, then it can probably survive until you return to Fort Paxton.
Lucas, you're not picking anything else up.
If you all think you have exhausted the room, then you can make your way across the stage to the other open door.
