Kale looks at Whitegaze's outstretched hand for a moment, then grins and takes it, giving it a firm shake. "I'll do my best, though I've found the most effective groups tend to allow members to voice their own opinions regardless. And even if we might disagree on the methods, I'm hoping that won't change because frankly, I know as much about Elysium as the rest of you." Frowning, he gazes at the never-ending rain. "It seems like everyone who's come here was brought against their will... even these locals. I'm not certain there's anything native about this city at all. It reminds me a bit of the slums," he says, gesturing to the mismatched architecture of the city. "People forced into close quarters against their will with very few resources or options, and the ensuing gauntlet of survival that naturally follows. I think the sooner we start unpacking the meaning behind Cicero's tarrock reading, the better it will be for all of us." He cants his head over his shoulder at the mindless individuals lolling about the courtyard. "Lest we end up like those poor sobs."
Kale sighs as he sees Al-Ashari making cover for herself. "I should've learned that spell," he mutters, feeling surly.
As Soveliss makes his announcement after finishing his spell, Kale nods to the others. "Let's get moving. We're right under the bridge so it can't hurt to move a few paces away from here. I'll get Inza," he adds, jogging back towards the auction house and calling for the githyanki to join them.
Lunastra shakes her head at Kale's question, squinting her eyes into the distance and fighting the urge to move her elbow away from his hand; she wasn't used to human contact at all. "It's hard to see anything in this blasted rain."
The Firbolg continues to gaze until Soveliss announces Thursday's whereabouts. "It's a relief to know that she didn't get herself killed out there. Although I do wonder where she went." She shrugs. "Guess we'll find out soon enough."
She hums in response to Kale's spiel about the city's residents. "Yes, the city is teeming with madness and filth. I'm eager to learn its cause and destroy it from its roots. It sickens me that this land has been so corrupted, and I've decided to cleanse it and return it to nature's grace. But not without Thursday."
She arcs a brow at the mind reading lady. "Earlier you were able to detect the girl's position. Was that your mentalist abilities at work? How do you do things like that?"
"Like this", answered Al-Ashari's voice in Lunastra's head. "It's as easy for for me as for you to change your shape. Which I can not do, by the way. Not like you. We all have our gifts, strange as they can be. Let's hope it will be enough to leave the place. You are not wrong about un-naturality of it, but I would not concentrate on "cleansing" it - how do you cleanse someone's dream? If we manage to leave and remain sane - it will be a bigger did than most by itself."
Luna's eyes widen in surprise; she can't help but react to the new experience of having a voice being spoken directly into her head. "I've never seen such a gift, but I won't argue that it doesn't have its place in nature. Magic grants a wide range of little tricks. The only thing that matters now is that it's useful."

If there is a section of the building that still looks fairly sturdy, Whitegaze will try to climb up it and keep watch for Thursday from there, pulling out his spyglass, also trying to make sure he's visible to her should she come through.

Soveliss sees no need to hide or climb around at this point and time, and opts to casually walk up the bridge. As he walks up, he does make it a note to keep an eye out for anything of interest, and look out at the landscape from the higher vantage point of the bridge.
(Me too, I thought it was a huge thing with a collection of houses underneath it, including the one auction house we're currently in. I think we could teleport or fly up there but I'm not sure how the bridge connects to the ground below it, or whether there's a walkway nearby or if it's expansive and we'd have to go a few blocks to find where it connects to the ground. Actually we can make this IC.)
Kale sees Soveliss eying the top of the bridge and silently pulls out his Broom of Flying. "Better you than me," he says, encouraging the mage to go scouting. "But bring me that thing back when you're done, it has sentimental value." He leans in and says "The command word is skedaddle."
Yes, the bridge is quite large and straddles many city blocks, with the two ends several blocks away from your current location. Let me know if you use the broom of flying.
Thursday, you come right up to where the group waits for you, one of them atop the auction house, trying to keep watch with a spyglass in hand. Kale is handing the wizard a broom-shaped object, while the wizard glances up to the bridge 50 feet overhead. None of them have spotted you.
(spell should have ended by now? Also even if it's not, no real reason to keep it going since he got what he needed out of the spell)
Soveliss looks over the broom and gives a curious look, "I'll be honest....I've only ever flown with magic, I'm not entirely confident in my ability to maneuver......a broom." However as luck would have it, the need to go up there passed as Thursday came around the corner, "Ah, Mrs. Thursday, welcome back."
(OOC: I don't think any of us spotted Thursday yet...)
Since Soveliss rejected the broom, Kale shrugs and whispers "Skedaddle!" As the broom begins to hover, he points up and commands it: "30 feet above me." Then he releases the broom and watches to see what it does. (If it does nothing out of the ordinary, he then commands it: "Return to me.")
Soveliss ends the Scry and tells everyone, "She's headed for the bridge. We should meet her there."

(I thought we were under the bridge, is there an access to on top of it from here?)
(It's a bridge, right? I'd assume so)
(I kinda pictured like a highway overpass almost with the auction house underneath it, but I could be very wrong.)
(Me too, I thought it was a huge thing with a collection of houses underneath it, including the one auction house we're currently in. I also thought "bridge" is something overseeing the whole city - and we were told the houses are under it.

Soveliss, have you stayed concentrating on your spell?

"Yo." Thursday struts back up to the others.
