Soveliss's raven looks at the other variant raven, then flyies off the roof at Soveliss's command to return to him. Soveliss breaks out of his half-trance and looks around, not having been able to hear/sense what was occurring as he was in that state. "A message from the master of another raven, they've seen fit to mark us for death it seems."
"Was it a sort of raven?" The barkeep asks. When he is told that it is he will nod knowingly. "That was a mire bird. Mire Birds are a variant species of raven unique to Elysium. They are carrion eaters, and can see the future. This unfortunate combination of abilities mean they tend to hang about people they think will die soon, so they get fresh corpses. They are harmless to the living, and very patient."
Inza let out a small sigh before shaking his head some "if we're all trapped here we might as well work to find a way out..." he then turns to the barkeeper "are there any effects psyonics have here"
"Psionics work normally here." The barkeep answers. "Ask your friend there how her spells have been working..." He nods to Al-Ashari.
"How would you proceed, should you want to get to the auction? Or to any place that could shift to another?" The voice was again only in barkeeper's head while Al-Ashari was stroking weasel's strangely oily fur.
"Oh, I do trust you, do not worry yourself Kale Fencan," that was definitely cool slow voice of Al-Ashari in Kale's head, even though she did not even look in his direction. "I would say other's do to, at least on surface."
The barkeep responds back mind-to-mind... "I would stay right here..." He informs Al-Ashari. "If I had to go though, I have heard of a man who can take people by boat to any location along the lakeshore, always finding the correct location, but I don't think crossing the water is worth the risk."
Soveliss strokes his nonexistent beard in curious wonder, "Intriguing." Had he had the luxury, he'd have wanted to ask an array of questions on the matter of what caused this mutation in the raven species. However, currently, he and the rest of those present were in unknown territory. He turns his head towards the other party members as he took out a rag to dry off his familiar, "Has anyone formulated a plan, or shall we simply move on? As pleasant as this bar is compared to the rain, I doubt we can get much done here."
"Can not complain, thank you," Al-Ashari gave another quiet smile and said these words out loud, then addressed barkeeper again with open words "That rain - do you think it will continue for long?"

Kale frowns. "Well, what did your own raven see outside, Soveliss? Did it manage to spot the Gloomwrought Bridge? With a name like that, it has to be one of the landmarks of this town. To be honest, I'm not sure what the point of going to the auction house is if we don't have the proper coin, though. Yes yes, they said they'll take gold, but who knows what the exchange rate will be at the auction house? It might be better to try and find the bank, first."
He turns to Cicero. "Is there such an establishment you trust that would handle the exchange of our money fairly? One you'd recommend for a set of adventurers in our circumstances, perhaps?"
"Also, I'd guess the only reliable way to find any place in this town is by the center near the lake, if that boatman is the one who can take you places. Of course, I'm not excited to find out what might be living beneath the water on the journey there." He rubs his chin. "Cicero, you've been very helpful to us so far. Perhaps you could tell us how difficult it would be for the seven of us to travel together? Do the streets shift so suddenly that there's a chance our party would be separated just walking along them? We seem to be safe enough inside of this establishment... would you say that's the case, that any sudden transportation would only occur in the open air outside?"
He takes a last moment to consider things. "And... would you happen to know if teleportation magicks work here at all? I'm not eager to use my Dimension Door, only to find my legs have stayed behind. I rather need those feet."
Kale makes another insight check on Cicero just to try to see if he has any ulterior motivations for the party besides being helpful: 26
"Can not complain, thank you," Al-Ashari gave another quiet smile and said these words out loud, then addressed barkeeper again with open words "That rain - do you think it will continue for long?"
"For long?" The barkeep says with a mirthless chuckle. "It has rained for longer than anyone here as been living, so I'd guess it will continue to do so until we are all long dead and wasting away in the depths below."
When Lunastra had awakened, roused by the sounds of music and voices, she had suddenly leapt backwards, swiftly gauging her surroundings. She'd looked at the others' features, silently sizing them up and dismissing them as threats. She scowled as her eyes trailed across the wooden floorboards and she listened to the sound of rain pattering outside. She wrinkled her nose at the city's stench, bristling at the ambient wrongness that permeated the air. As her gaze returned to the others, she silently watched their movements and listened to the conversation.
She grit her teeth as she was told of the shifting streets of Elysium that would bar attempts to escape, and she stared incredulously at the people around her when they allowed their fortunes to be read. She declined to interact with the barkeep; she didn't trust him since she had reason to believe that he was the one who had kidnapped them to begin with, and he'd catch her dead before she agreed to be subject to his suspicious magic.
Lunastra's eye twitched in annoyance when Kale had asked for everyone's names. In her clan she hadn't been formally given a name to begin with, and it was a long time indeed since she'd interacted with anyone who needed to be told one. Or interacted with anyone, for that matter. A name, a name, what was her name...
When she remembered, she suddenly blurted it out to everyone in the room, loud enough to cut through everyone's discussions. "Lunastra!"
She regretted her epiphany after she belatedly realized how awkward it was to say it aloud in that moment. The 6'3 woman rose to her full height, her mismatched red and blue eyes narrowed in irritation as she strode impatiently towards the door, standing near Whitegaze as she addressed the group. "Call me Lunastra. Or Luna, or whatever you damn well please. I don't care. This place disgusts me, so let's stop talking and move. If a raven wants to feast on my corpse, so be it; I won't be alive to witness it." She gives Cicero a pointed look. "But I refuse to believe that I won't leave this filthy city alive. And if I don't, I'll take whatever bastard that attacked me down before I die."
Kale makes another insight check on Cicero just to try to see if he has any ulterior motivations for the party besides being helpful: 26
"I am not a wizard." The barkeep says with a shrug. "I do know you cannot teleport away from the city, but that is all I can tell you there." He considers briefly. "The streets do not change so drasticly. It is more that when you turn your backs for a moment, the way has changed, but you won't lose each other that way. No sudden changes that would seperate you that I can recall. It is hard to say if it doesn't happen though, since those left alone may just have never been heard from again."
"As for trading your coins..." The barkeep says with a nod to the group. "I think your best bet there is the auction house as well. Unless you find a Vistani in your travels of the city that is. They can travel freely through the mist, so are very good at trading gold for silver."
"Well then," Kale says, satisfied, but a little wary of the steaming Firbolg blocking the frame of the door with her height. "Unless anyone else has more questions, to the auction house we go, I suppose." He nods at the others and makes ready to leave. Then he turns back to Cicero. "Thanks for the help. You didn't need to humor us, but you did. I'll remember the name of your tavern and pass it on, should we meet any travelers willing to brave the mists for an ale and some company."
"alright then... let's getting going" Inza said as he stood up as his full hight and began heading to the door the cup of water floating back down to the table

Hakim will drop 5 gold on the counter of the bar, "For the drinks and the hospitality, may the sea guide you where you need to be," he says the last out of a long ingrained habit before realizing what he's said, "Other than the lake, is there a sea here?" shakes his head, "Nevermind, thank you for your help. Now lets see how this place tries to kill us. Luna was it? Do you mind if I go out first or would you like to?"
If Luna steps aside, He'll head out the door and walk out a little ways, looking around to make sure its safe before beckoning the others, if she goes first, he'll follow close behind and watch her back.
He casts a glance at the Firbolg when she shouts out her name and gives her a polite nod. Walking to the door to follow those who have left, Soveliss gives his thanks to the barkeep and opens the door to leave as well. He pulls up his hood and \makes sure his raven is well covered before walking out into the rain.
Before leaving, Al-Ashari disappeared in the backrooms (the communication between her and barkeeper was left out of public conversation) and returned shortly dressed more appropriately for the traversing rainy streets - simple practical though obviously very well make travelling clothes with the long cloak, covering her slender figure completely.
(Going to go ahead and move you into the streets. if anyone has anything more to do at Cicero’s Bar, let me know and we can retro it...)
Elysium is a city bounded by stone walls hundreds of feet high. Rain pours down on it from above, cascading down the walls like a waterfall and rushing down the streets, quickly draining away through giant drains to the darkness below. The buildings are a strange mismatch of architectural styles, stacked on top of each other like discarded toys. Many are in an advanced state of disrepair and lie abandoned. At the center of the city lies a huge lake, filled with murky water. Mist coils through the streets and through the sky. The streets are cobbled, and broken lamps are studded along the larger avenues. Winding side-streets lead up, down and across each other in a confusing maze. Small lights appear occasionally in houses, or through shuttered windows obscured by the heavy rain.
"Dreary," Kale observes as he steps out behind everyone else. Pulling up the hood of his cloak, he squints into the rain. "It looks decrepit now... but things have to be new, once, before they can be old. Of course, I'd have to have a word with the architect about the complete lack of aesthetic appeal." He inspects the buildings further. "Maybe this is the place where dying things go to be forgotten."
While keeping a general eye out for any of the nasty things that might be hiding in the dense mists, Kale reaches into his bag of tricks and pulls out one of the fuzzy balls. Tossing it before one of the empty houses where a bit of open area can be found around the rubble, he waits a moment to see what appears.

Soveliss stood tall in the rain and glanced down the street with his own eyes. For a moment, he closed his eyes and breathed in the air, feeling it's heavy deathly taste in his body, with a frown he opens his eyes again. "I doubt it's anything so symbolic. Regardless, we had best move along, I believe that the auction house was this way from what he told us, and what my raven saw." Soveliss starts walking down the street.
