Thorn also says to Flynt"Ewwwwwwwwww, Chessssssst!" (he pronounces Chess as Chest) "That's Daddy's game!! ewwwwwwww"
The ghost-children then turn their attention back to Ignatia
"Ok thank you! Baby? Hmmmmm you mean our little baby sissy? Baby sissy was a quiet baby. Veeeeeeery quiet. Then she disappeared.... wait did you say you were leaving? No... please... PLEASE don't leave... don't go to the basement. Stay and play..."
Rose says to Ignatia: "You're no fun."And then the ghost child turns around and then goes and stands in the corner of the room, facing the corner and doesn't say another peep.

These ghosts fear abandonment. When Ignatia said the party has to leave, the ghosts tried to possess you. Specifically, the girl, Rose.
“We’re here to help you. After we find what’s going on in the basement, we’ll return, ok?”
She whispers to the rest of the group
”This isn’t a case of a hiding fugitive anymore. I fear there are far worse crimes that have occurred in this place. We must find out what’s happened in the basement...”
Ignatia slipped into her "voice for speaking with children.....and minor infernal beings"......because, really there was little difference when you got down to it....
" Young Mistress Rose! You do not attempt to force yourself on someone without their consent! "
"Should you wish to accompany me I have no objections to housing you within this weary flesh....."
Whispering as if to herself.
" As long as your a lot less fuss than the last eldritch being I had inside me...."
Flynt and Ignatia, the ghost-children ignore you both and just continue to stand in the corner, their faces almost touching the wall. They are just floating there now, looking at the corner of the room, not saying anything.
It's kind of creepy.
You get the feeling that they do not want to come with you to the basement or anywhere else for that matter. They wanted you to stay and play, and tried to possess you both when they thought you were leaving, and both of them failed.
Renny watches on from the hallway as the others leave the children's room. Both of the children start to sob ghost-tears when the last person leaves the room.
You all head over to the dark staircase in the other room and begin to descend. The light from Ignatia's lantern gives you 40 feet of vision, and she leads the way as you all head down the stairs. Once you start the decent you realize this staircase goes down a long way. You feel yourself walking down the stairs, passing through the lower levels of the house, and it seems almost 50 feet from the top to the bottom of the stairs which you've almost reached....

Ignatia leads the way with her lantern as you all reach the bottom of the stairs. There is a narrow tunnel which branches left and right, and you all funnel your way down the tunnel and then into what seems like a huge dungeon!
The atmosphere and mood down here is much different than the above floors in the house. It's dark, dreary, cold and damp. From the moment you arrive down here, you can hear an eerie incessant chant echoing throughout the passageways. You can't discern which direction it's coming from... yet. The dungeon floor and walls are carved out of earth, clay and rock. The tunnels are 4 ft. wide by 7 ft. high, with timber braces at 5 ft. intervals. There are centuries-old footprints down here molded into the earthen floor, going in all different directions.
Please have a look at the map below. This is where you are all currently situated. Your current light source is Ignatia's lantern. She's holding it with one hand. It is completely dark down here without it so a light source will have to be constant for people who can't see in the dark. I won't give you any other details about the environment other than what you can currently see on the map and what I've described above.
What do you want to do? Please provide any skill rolls as well depending on what you want to do (Perception if you want details about things, Stealth if you plan on going quietly, etc. etc.)
