As the skeletons came into view she sighed at the walking dead, " Why are you lot not resting?"
Ignatia grabbed Flynt by the shoulder, " You, with the armour, stand in front of me!".
Just before she released him, moving back ten feet away from the door she muttered some words under her breath and he felt water patter across his face.
OOC:
Casts Protection from Good and Evil on Flynt to help against the skellies.
Ignatia, since combat basically started once you opened the door and the skeletons noticed you, those actions you mentioned (moving back 10ft, touching Flynt and casting the Protection spell) would have to be completed on your actual turn.
(PC's can move over a square occupied by an ally, it's just considered difficult terrain, so half speed for those squares)
Renny, the small but impressive burning mote of fire travels directly at Skeleton 1. It looks like it's about to be a direct hit, but then at the last moment the skeleton moves slightly (totally by accident) and the fire bolt smashes into the wall (F1) with a small but impressive explosion.
Karlina is up - I'm going to keep playing her until JR comes back!
Karlina, sensing that Ignatia might be in a vulnerable spot, will move into the room (D2) trying to protect Ignatia. She will bring down her new battleaxe in a downward diagonal strike, trying to smash the skeleton #1 to bits. She also has her shield drawn. Attack: 14 Damage: 5
Karlina's battleaxe smashes into Skeleton 1, smashing a few bones off it.
Skeletons are up! They all see Karlina burst into the room, and all start to swarm her.
Skeleton 1, just being hit by Karlina, attempts to strike her back with its shortsword Attack: 17 Damage: 4
Skeleton 2 moves to E3 and also tries to slash Karlina Attack: 21 Damage: 8
Skeleton 3 also moves to D3 and tries for Karlina Attack: 6 Damage: 6
Karlina, quite skillfully is able to use her shield to parry the sword attacks... until one of the skeleton's blades bounces off the top part of the shield and ends up slashing Karlina's torso quite badly. (Karlina takes 8 damage) She's bleeding... bad.
Flynt moves to C3, reaches out to Karlina and sends his blessed healing energies into her as she regains 5 hp.
Ignatia then does a similar action... reaches out, touches Flynt, but instead of healing energies, he feels an odd, comforting feeling... kind of like a warm, safe feeling knowing these skeletons can't hurt him. Protection from Evil and Good She then backs up and then thinks she sees Renny about to move.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Renny does a quick count and moves up to the doorway (c2), nudging slightly into Flynt's area, "Pardon me, one second.." and extends her hands, thumbs together and fingers splayed out. She mutters a phrase and a sheet of fire flies out from her hands. Her aim is to catch all three skeletons but miss Karlina.. or at least get 3 and 2.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Renny creates a wonderful thin sheet of fire from her hands and it engulfs and then passes through the skeletons 3 and 2. They both start to shriek a bit which is weird for a skeleton to do, and their clothing scraps start to burn on their bones. #3 takes 5 damage, and #2 takes 10 damage.
They all shake about a bit, and then continue their assault with their swords on Karlina (who was NOT healed by Flynt).
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Attack: 21 Damage: 4
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
The Skeletons simultaneously attack the poor Ranger... she's able to block 2 attacks, but one blade manages to get through her defense and stabs through her heart. She lay on the ground... dead. The skeletons make a laughing kind of noise and look to the others.
Flynt is up! You have 2 attacks you can do this round due to the issue with Karlina. Have at it!!
The regal silver Dragonborn raises his longsword and performs 2 impressive slashes to Skeleton #3. One of them hits quite hard, and a few bone chips shatter off the skeleton. Takes 4 damage.
It's hard to tell how much life skeleton shave left by looking at them, but you can all tell that Skeletons 2 and 3 are barely moving, almost just standing because they are burning up from Renny's fire earlier. Skeleton 1 looks meaner and stronger at this point.
Ignatia, you gracefully sling a stone toward Skeleton #3. CRACK! It connects directly in the forehead, and the skull cracks all the way down the center. The skeleton stops moving... but is barely still standing.
After this happens, you all hear a voice from the stairs behind you: Hail! My name is Sha’ Lea, I’ve been sent by the mayor to help you!
You see a female Elf (I will let Shae do her intro!) about to get to the second floor behind you as round 3 starts. She seems NOT hostile, and is joining the next round.
Round 3 - I had Shae roll initiative in a separate thread (17)
Bursting through the doorway, and matching a face to the voice from before, is a lithe elf, her long black hair bound in a simple braid. She doesn't stop her dash as she surveys the room, instead she turns her momentum into a slide across the floor, slipping between the dragonborn and the humanoid. She cries out "Foul undead! Let's slay them quickly!" as she slides into her attack.
(Move to d2)
As she reaches the skeleton, she launches her staff upward into the skeleton's jaw, and then uses the butt of the weapon to leverage herself into a vertical kick, aimed at the skeleton's spine inside its ribcage. "Tend to your fallen! I'll help the dragon hold them here!" Her attack routine leaves her on her feet, in a defensive stance with her staff. The look in her purple eyes is one of a calm anger, a rage focused into a weapon. She's completely still, her body not even moving with her breath. The elf is the epitome of the confident warrior, of a combatant whose body has been honed into a machine of battle. One would never guess that within her, a worried debate was raging.
"I hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew here.I didn't count on there actually being anything other than a target here... there's a huge difference in a half elf thief and a room full of undead..."
After a moment, she turns her head slightly to the dragonborn next to her. "Flynt, right? The mayor sent me. Cover my flank, and I'll cover yours.

If Flynt moves into C3, would he be able to use Lay on Hands to Karlina? If so, he'll heal Karlina for five HP
