Renny isn't getting much from a short rest, but she sits down against a wall and takes out the book she found on dragons to look through it some more. Whether it's history or fiction is something she's trying to determine.

Renny, you take some time and start to skim through the dragon book you grabbed from the library on the second floor.
If you recall, it's about black dragons. Someone found black dragon eggs, tried to hatch them, was successful, and then the babies turned on him and killed him. It's written in the third person. Please roll a History check for any other information relevant to the book being fiction or non-fiction as well as perhaps any other tidbits depending on the outcome of the check.
Shae leans against the wall, her staff beside her.
“Well, this place is certainly more than I expected it to be. There’s still a chance my target is hiding out in here, but the battle with the armor may have scared him off...”
She muses to herself for a bit and takes a drink of water.
Shae - the water from your waterskin tastes great, and you are able to get a comfortable lean going against the wall. (Sure thing, go ahead and roll your hit die to recover HP.)
Renny - you know this book to be true. This happened in the land of Faerun, in the southern region of the continent near the town of Greenest. You have incredible insight into dragons (of all color), and have read many tales of black dragons wreaking havoc on the civilized world. They are... a *****. This particular story is well known in the part of the world that it happened in, and you have heard about the story before, but never in a million years though you'd ever get your hands on the original copy.
More for Renny:
Along with your knowledge and connections with gold dragons, you also know about these baddies. You have knowledge of all of these stats.
Flynt - you also take a lean on a wall and pause for a moment. (I believe Flynt is maxed out on HP, and can only get the lay on hands pool back with a long rest, but let me know if I am wrong!)
You all feel better after taking some time to rest. You likely chatted about the fight with the armor, and those spiders in the closet. And of course about Shae almost dying. (still need that hit die roll!)
The storage room with the broom is still silent.
You all get ready to go, and Ignatia takes the front position as she moves toward the south wall of the hallway.
Flynt still has his torch lit, and is providing enough light for everyone who can't see in the dark.
Ignatia, if you recall, this secret door was not hard to see at all. It is well used, and you are clearly able to see on the wall exactly how to open this door. You open the door..... it moves in an odd way and thuds a bit, but ends up opening quite wide. You can see a wooden stairway which you assume leads to the attic of the house. With the light from Flynt's torch, you can also see the stairway is completely covered in cobwebs. You (or whoever goes first, if you even go at all) will have to push your way through the webbing if you would like to proceed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Shae takes a moment to meditate, using the technique of her order to heal her wounds and focus her inner self into a sharper, more focused warrior. When she opens her eyes, she stands, and heads towards the secret door, and helps get it open.
Shae, that animated armor really messed you up. When the huge metal arms hit you, it really did a number on your internal organs, even after Flynt's blessed healing. So, while you had razor sharp intent, you just didn't get the nourishment from the rest as you were hoping. Your guts still ache. You have a bad headache. But you're pressing on. You move forward towards the front and help clear away all of the cobwebs. There's a LOT. And there's also a lot of spiders... but nothing like the swarm you saw earlier in the closet.
It takes all of you to clear the way since the cobwebs are so dense. Eventually you get through it all and see an open door at the top of the staircase which indeed leads to the attic of the house. Ignatia leads the pack as you all flood into the attic hallway (using her rolls above). This bare hall is choked with dust and cobwebs (although not as many as the ones in the staircase). The walls are grey and bare, and it smells musty with a very faint smell of rot. There are several closed doors that you can see, and at this present moment, everything is silent. Flynt's torch is still lit, and would likely be needed at this point for characters who can't see. it's almost dark outside, and there's only the one window on the north east wall which you can see outside of.

(Yeah, I’ll spend some dice and heal up.)

Renny is very engrossed in the book, absorbing everything she can get out of it.
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Ignatia felt her reserves of energy trickle back in like gathering shadows...
" Alrighty then....secret door, normal door or stairs?"
" Maybe we'll come back for the broom in a bit.", she nudged Renny.
Renny looks up from the book, "Huh? What?"
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Ignatia chuckled, " What you reading?"
" And which way you wanna go?"
Renny holds up the book, "Story about a black dragon."
Once she gets to her feet she looks around, "which way?"
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
" That was literally what I just asked you."
" Wait...am I in charge? That won't end well....uh, eeny meany miney mo...Secret door it is...now how does this open?"
Ignatius started pushing and pressing on the secret door...
Flynt is going to walk over and provide some assistance.
