“Well, damn, that was easy enough. Shall we try to move it? Or just pretend we don’t know there is a wierd behind this door? I think it’s worth just taking it with us.” Juri says in a hushed tone.
"I never thought I'd hear myself say this," murmurs Iveta, "but the Rakdos seem to have this under control." She edges closer to the cage. "I know it's an Izzet weird, but, well, the Izzet let it escape, and people died. As far as I'm concerned, we might as well just leave it here." Iveta looks around nervously. "And in any case, I don't want to stay here longer than I have to."

"I can't speak for the whole Izzet League, but I can recognize that sometimes our impulses do pose undue risks. That said, the power of a weird in the hands of Rakdos cultists should trouble anyone attached to life and limb. I didn't create this weird, and I didn't set it upon the city, but i will not just leave it here." Nivrell pleads with Iveta.
He looks to the cage and attempts to see if there are any weak points that can be exploited to open the cage. Investigation: 7
In frustration, he asks the room, "Does anyone see a key anywhere?"

“Excuse me, but if we could keep the mocking of the Izzet to a minimum. We obviously can agree to disagree on a number of things, but I know we can all agree it would be best to get this thing out of here. So maybe a little less huff and a bit more looking for a key?” Juri says flustered by the company he is with.
Juri investigation 18
He is going through things in the room with a passion trying to find whatever he can that will yield the result of proving these ‘people’s’ perception wrong about the Izzet.
The cage itself is constructed of mizzium. The bars require a successful DC 30 Strength check to bend enough to retrieve the weird. The cage door can be picked with a successful DC 20 Dexterity check using thieves’ tools. The key to this cage does not appear to be in the room.
This area also contains
20 10-foot lengths of spiked chain, 6 costumes with masks, 20 20-foot lengths of rope, 5 casks of grain alcohol, 5 humanoid dummies that can be used as effigies, and two cackler dolls constructed of leather.
"You're right," Iveta replies after a long silence, "but we need a plan." She tugs on the sleeves of her green-and-white coat. "More importantly, we need to know what we're doing with it if we get it."
"That's a good point." Nivrell says to Iveta, looking toward the weird, he asks, "So what happened back at the lab? What made you run amock?"
Ooc: I dint think weirds can talk, but I think they can be trained, and may have communication skills on oar to say a dog. I think this is more likely to tell us about the weird's disposition than reveal information.

It seems to be under some sort of magical slumber.
"I hate to say this, but there may be a solution to our problem here in this room. We know the weird has been running amok. Clearly the Rakdos cult have subdued it somehow. Normally weirds are helpful servants, if not companions. I can't say why this weird was acting so out of sorts or if there's a chance we could return it to its normal state, well normal for a weird anyway." He walks over to the grain alcohol casks and removes the keystone from the bunghole (ooc: yes, that's what it's called) and wafts the ethanol vapors to confirm his suspicion about its contents.
Picking up one if the many long ropes, he asks the group: "Anyone got a light?"
The group arranges the casks around the cage. After dipping each rope in the alcohol and tying them into one 200ft rope, he inserts each of the several unwound strands into one cask.
Before making ready to lay the fuse and run, he looks to the weird and says, "I don't know what happened at the lab, but something tells me it wasn't your fault. I am very sorry. "
“Whoa wait wait wait. Are you sure this is our only option? I mean weren’t we gona try to meet with the head of this place? There’s no other approach between our combined abilities? Absolutely stupid and wasteful.” Juri asks trying to exhaust absolutely EVERY avenue before this. He seems a bit panicked at the very idea of doing this.
Embodying the recklessness of the Izzet and the dispassion of a Vedalken, Nivrell replies "It is the most direct solution to the problem. " Reflecting, he adds. " We may never have this opportunity again. "
"I don't like this idea at all." Iveta measures her words. "Putting down a weird is one thing, but blowing up a building of people, Rakdos or no...we'd be doing as much damage as this thing did. Still, if we can be sure no one else is hurt, it might be for the best."
“Ok. I’d rather not, but even more than that, o don’t want them having the wierd. Go ahead. Do what needs to be done. As far as others getting hurt, I’d argue that is what this place is all about.”
While the others are setting up Juri looks around at the costumes and also looks for a flask or small container to take some of the grain alcohol.
What about this... We lay the dummies on the floor of the waiting room and stage the cackler dolls to look like they are actively attacking us to create a distraction. I can make the dolls produce maniacal cackling to help sell the effect. Meanwhile, we dress up in the costumes and make our way through this place to find the proprietor. Maybe we can figure out what her plans for the weird are.
Lets call this plan A and blow it up is plan b. Thoughts?
"That seems a bit...convoluted." Iveta furrows her brow. "Plan A, we could just go talk to her...disguise ourselves, maybe, but I don't know how much time we have." She looks around quickly.

What is the cage made out of? Nivrell studies arcane metallurgy, but not sure what kind of check that would be.

I agree, a weird is to dangerous to be kept by Izzet or Rakdos. The Rakdos might unleash it somewhere to cause chaos.
Bartash will walk around to look for a key in the room or anything that might be of interest.

Bartash nods in agreement. Very well, but the balance must be restored. By any means.
He will start putting on a costume. Bartash will then help set up the casks and rope to prepare for plan b.
After that he will put on the mask leaving his tentacle hair curling and moving above the mask. Lets see if we can find Ophyira.
Iveta also changes into a costume, removing a load of useful things from her sleeves as she does so.
