"I guess I should take point this time..." Kamag pushes past the group making no attempt to be quiet, "...I would rather die than smell this shit-stink one minute longer."
Kamag barrels through the leather curtain, tired of this place and ready to just be done with it all. DEX Save: 4 He doesn't notice the barbed wire hanging just behind the curtain until it is too late, and takes 7 points of damage, then feels the poison that they were coated with coursing through his veins.
Kamag: Your HP max is reduced by the same amount of damage you just took, so no amount of scraping will remove the black parts no amount of healing will bring your HP back up.
The curtain returns to its normal position, blocking view of the room.
Kamag:
On the other side of the curtain, the smell of old blood assaults your nose. The floor is covered with dried puddles of it. Four floor-to-ceiling columns are spaced across the chamber, and chains have been strung between them like clothesline. Animal carcasses hang on hooks from the chains. You see gutted and skinned antelope, deer, goats, what might be big cats, and even a few small bears. Some of this meat has been here for a while if the smell is a reliable indicator.
Kod's axe chops some leather straps down, allowing you to see through about 6 inches of curtain, but the barbed wire merely clanks around and comes back to rest in its original hanging position.
Now that everyone can look through the curtain:

There is a notch carved into the wall on your side of the curtain that does not appear to be natural. It has marks from something being forced into it.

I'm going to say that after Kod chopped some of the leather strips down, you can see that there is no way to safely move the barbed wire out of the way with your bare hands, so regardless of how sleight your hands were, you would not avoid the poison coated barbs while trying to move them out of the way. Would you still try to move them bare-handed and risk taking damage?

Lyria passes through after deciding not to risk poison by handling it herself. After seeing what Kamag was referring to, investigate the notch carved into the wall on this side of the curtain that does not appear to be natural. 4 Ascertain if the spear has anything to do with it, and if seemingly so... force it in. *Meh, do it anyway.
The way the spear goes in has the shaft angling toward the curtain. You surmise that the cultists simply used this to move the curtain out of the way without risk to themselves and hold it open while they move meat in and out. You all notice it's naturally colder in here, and there doesn't seem to be any other way out of this room.
Dead end.... quite literally. Mildly irritated. Maybe next time I should ask if a map is available. Rhetorical. We should double back, there are a few areas left to check, and I suggest here. (Lyria explains her thinking based on this image. Suggesting we take the direction of the upper arrow)
Your map isn't showing for me, I updated mine and labeled the rooms. The last way you know to go is the stairs down off the barracks, unless you want to explore the dump.

Lyria hears nothing from the other side of the leather-strip curtain.

Lyria whispers, I don't hear anything. Looks to the rest of the group.

Hordkhen leans back and whispers, "She doesn't hear anything...."
Kod is following waiting to react to any hostility.
The curtain remains unhostile.
