Irma backs away from the slime for 15 feet and "channels divinity:sacred weapon" on the Warhammer. For 1 minute the Warhammer is considered a magical weapon, +3 to attack rolls and bright light emits for 20 feet, and dim light for 20 feet beyond that.
Frustrated by the paladin's trusty armor, the vile slime turns its pseudopod upon the bard, suffering the Disadvantage that the DM forgot to give to its last attack:
Irma's mighty weapon slams into the thick, gooey center of the hostile blob, unleashing a wave of divine force that sends black glop flying in all directions, spattering all over walls, floor, and ceiling, as well as the bard and especially the paladin himself.
Ian immediately casts prestidigitation on himself to cleanse himself of the vile slime.
Shaking off the gross feeling of ooze and rubbing at his burns, Ian says, “Okay, now that that is taken care, where did Akai go? Last I saw him he was downstairs staring at that mural.”
Admiring how the flanking of an enemy always seems to open a foe to his sneakiest attacks, Falshen lets fly his next arrow.

Ian casts Vicious Mockery at the ooze yet again, "Die you blubber ball!" (Wisdom 15 save)

Shaking off the gross feeling of ooze and rubbing at his burns, Ian says, “Okay, now that that is taken care, where did Akai go? Last I saw him he was downstairs staring at that mural.”
Falshen offers up a healing potion should anyone require it. He has two, but would like to save one in case of dire need.
Irma stands up straight after felling the ooze, he heals Ian for 6 HP with lay on hands. "Let us go find our other companions."
Ian, Falshen, and Irma will retrace their steps before continuing on in order to figure out what happened to Akai.
Falshen will attempt to skulk through the shadows once more... just in case.

The rogue, bard, and paladin return down the stairs, and find their kobold companion still staring fixedly at the fresco on the north wall.
Ian calls out to Akai, “Hey, friend, what’s the matter? We missed your pyrotechnics up there. I almost got dissolved by an ooze!”
Keeping his distance from the Kobold and sticking to the shadows, Falshen casts his eyes about for any signs of danger.
