Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
As he tries to digest ((Sorry, I couldn't resist)) what Bela just said he shuffles a little closer to Qivys. As the now revealed vampire shifts into its bat form takes to the sky, Kei makes a grab for the dwarfs Holy Symbol hoping Qivys is too distracted to notice.
((I agree, it would be a difficult manoeuvre to pull off, but I figure a snatch and grab while Qivys' attention is elsewhere... @DM - subtract 6 if you want a straight Dex check))
Bela transforms and begins to fly upwards. In response, Gerrard makes a grab at the bat, but misses. BelaBat responds by using a Legendary Action to removing itself an extra thirty feet and away from any additional opportunity attacks. Simultaneously, Kei makes a sneaky grab for Qivys' holy symbol. (I'll allow the Slight-of-Hand roll, but Qivys may make a contesting roll using either Athletics or Dex.)
Combat begins:
Initiative: Bela - 23 Gerrard - 22 Qivys - 21 Kei - 19 Boko - 15 Peri - 12
Bela flies upward and northward another 60 feet. It's now about 85' away from you - at an altitude of about 70' and now somewhat inland.
Gerrard and Qivys may act next. (Qivys should first make that DC23 contesting roll using either Athletics or Dex to hang onto his holy symbol.)
Gerrard knows but little about the Dreadwood. It is a vast, dark, inland forest stretching from Seaton to Saltmarsh and far beyond, perhaps a day or two travel inland up the moors from the coastline. He recalls it is a home to horrid monsters and vicious raiders. Keoland maintains ranger patrols that sweep through the outer reaches of the forest periodically, while several wood elf clans dwell at its edge. The two forces are generally successful at keeping the monsters of the Dreadwood in check, but at times a threat that avoids them or overcomes them emerges to wreak havoc across the land.

Kei
Looking down he realises he has managed to grab Qivys' Holy Symbol. Without thinking he immediately turns towards the water and throws with all his might.
Athletics 14
As the religious moniker flies towards the sea, Kei's attention turns to Gerrard. For some reason his feet begin to move him towards the young noble. In a brash move he launches at the midsection of his colleague and attempts to tackle him to the ground.
Ploop! The faint sound of a holy symbol splashing in the sea is faintly heard over the low boom of the breakers on the rocky beach. (Without his symbol, Qivys may not cast spells with a material (M) component unless he happens to have the materials on him.)
Gerrard must make a DC8 contesting Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) roll (his choice) to counter Kei's attempt to tackle him, or be knocked prone.
Boko and Peri may act next. The bat is about 85' away from you - at an altitude of about 70' and bearing north (inland).
Roll initiative if you intend on trying anything.

Rolled 15 initiative in Avrae for Boko. If she can take an opportunity attack at the bat as it flies up, she will…
Peri:
Peri's jaw drops as the man casually admits to eating children!

Qivys Initiative: 9
((Not that Qivys can beat that roll)
((OCC: As for Kei grabbing Qivys holy symbol. I'd argue that Qivys Holy Symbol is in his hand so....))

Qivys Athletics Roll: 20
All four of Gerrard's arrows manage to hit the fleeing little creature in the dark, but the injury they incur seems somewhat lessened than they ought.
Qivys, his spell focus wrenched away from him, may act next. Then Kei may act.
The best Qivys can do is launch a Fire Bolt at the creature due to its range.
Hit: 22
Damage if hits: 7
Qivys lets loose a mote of fire, and narrowly misses the little bat.
Kei, still clutching Qivys' Holy Symbol, may act next. (Boko and Peri follow Kei.)

Boko can barely comprehend what is happening with Kei but she moves 30 feet toward the bat and casts moonbeam right on top of it.
