Peri's astral arms tear into one of the unarmed Drowned Ascetics (hitting twice), while Qivys cleaves into the other with an axe glowing with holy energy.
Gerrard lands a trio of devastating blows to Peri's foe. It is barely holding on.
The things continue to fight back - one laying into Qivys, and the other, Gerrard: Unarmed Strike #1 vs. Gerrard: 12. Hit: 6 bludgeoning damage, and Gerrard must succeed on a DC 12 CON Save... Unarmed Strike #2 vs. Gerrard: 9. Hit: 7 bludgeoning damage, and Gerrard must succeed on a DC 12 CON Save... Unarmed Strike #3 vs. Gerrard: 6. Hit: 6 bludgeoning damage, and Gerrard must succeed on a DC 12 CON Save...
Unarmed Strike #1 vs. Qivys: 19. Hit: 5 bludgeoning damage Unarmed Strike #2 vs. Qivys: 16. Hit: 9 bludgeoning damage Unarmed Strike #3 vs. Qivys: 15. Hit: 9 bludgeoning damage
Meanwhile, the assassin upstairs, sensing but unable to see Thwack, directsits attention to Peri, who is actively taunting it. Hand Crossbow Attack #1 vs. Peri: 13 Hit: 5 piercing damage plus 6 poison damage, and Peri must succeed on a DC 12 CON Save (unless he already failed it, which I believe is the case?) Hand Crossbow Attack #2 vs. Peri: 12 Hit: 4 piercing damage plus 6 poison damage, and a save...
The assassin then tries to again vanish back into the shadows by the upstairs bedroom. Stealth: 19
Thwack and Boko are up! (Unseen, Thwack has advantage on his ranged attacks vs. the assassin, provided he can see it: Thwack Passive Perception vs. Stealth roll above. Otherwise, it's a wash.)
The assassin is much more effective in hiding this round. It is unseen by all at the moment. (Disadvantage on attacks upon it, except for Thwack, who's well-hidden, himself.) Gerrard takes a heavy blow to the temple. Crit damage: 7

Thwack
Thwack tries his best to keep an eye on the shadowy figure. He climbs higher up the stairs to the landing and launches a brain-dagger at the hidden attacker. He then slips into the darkness himself, initiating a shadowy game of tag.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bokobear's jaws only manage to tear off a scrap of barnacle-encrusted leather on her horrid attacker, but her claws tear right through it. It goes down... (A roll: 6)
Meanwhile, Thwack climbs to the top of the stairs and unleashes another surprise mind dagger on the unseen assassin before melting into the shadows behind the railing. (Thwack: Stealth:12 )
...and it stays down. Just one foe - an unarmed Drowned Ascetic - remains on the ground floor. The assassin remains an upstairs threat (and at the moment, well-hidden).
Qivys again receives the benefits of Boko's healing aura.
Gerrard delivers three powerful blows to the remaining creature. Qivys finishes it off with a single, radiant swing that cuts it in two. It is down and out.
Peri waits for the assassin to show itself. And indeed it does, firing two more rusted bolts at him: Hand Crossbow Attack #1 vs. Peri: 16 Hit: 8 piercing damage plus 5 poison damage Hand Crossbow Attack #2 vs. Peri: 12 Hit: 4 piercing damage plus 4 poison damage Peri fires back, singeing it twice with a pair of crackling beams. Then it races along the balcony, dives through the window most of you entered through, and Dashes out onto the roof.
But not before Thwack, hidden from the assassin at the top of the stairwell, can get an opportunity attack.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bokobear will heal Peri for 9hp and then turns to the front door. She moves to the base of the stairs, finding a good place to defend the kitchen, be ready for anything coming down the stairs, and looking out the front door, but all around. She listens, sniffs, and looks everywhere for any other sign of any more undead. She doesn't want to get surprised again.
Perception: 18
(Assume that's an action. If not, she'll ready an attack on anything hostile that gets close to her.)
If anyone looks particularly beat up, she places a heavy paw on their shoulder to keep them out of harm's way (Peri, Qivys, looking at you).
Also, OOC, seven more rounds of 2d6 healing so if you need healing, make sure Boko stays close to you.
The sound of grinding teeth is all that might give away Thwack's position. He snarls in silence as the assassin let's loose more bolts towards his friends. He resists the urge to run at the attacker and his patience pays off. Thwack's tiny claw slashes at the retreating attacker as it runs past him trying to escape.
Opportunity Attack: 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. plus SA dmg if it hits 13
As the enemy dives out the window Thwack decides to follow. He leaves the safety of the darkness and jumps to the windowsill. With his prey in his sights he launches two brain-daggers at the fleeing form before jumping to the roof in pursuit.
M - Moves to stand in window (or within 60ft if needed)
A - Attack: 21 Damage: 6
BA - Attack: 11 Damage: 5
M - moves onto the roof with any movement he has left
Thwack delivers a potent mind dagger into the psyche of this dead assassin as it rushes by and through the window. It staggers briefly, but proceeds to leap out the window and race out across the thatched roof of the partitioned rat room, the shutters banging behind it.
Thwack follows, launching two more ineffective psychic blades after it. He stays right on its heels. The wind and rain flails Thwack from behind.
Meanwhile, Bokobear heals Peri and takes careful stock of her surroundings - she detects no more hidden foes inside, nor any indications of any new intruders.
“Finish quickly and let us take up a defensible position at the kitchen,” says Gerrard. He slashes the throats of three of the recently re-dead corpses on his way to Boko’s side,
“Any evidence of more foes?” he asks her.
