Peri holds on for dear life as the skiff hurtles through the waves, driven by the wind and Gerrard's fan. He readies an eldritch blast to fire off if the horror turns its attention on them, hoping he'll not have to use it. "Gods, I hate this place..." he mutters.
Gerrard, Dwal, and Peri rapidly retreat, flying downwind (northwest) with the aid of Gerrard's arcane gusts. The little boat crests and slams repeatedly and violently, but they are quickly distancing themselves. Unfortunately, they are also outpacing Bokotopus, who is slowed by towing Kei through the surf (half-speed). Dashing as fast as they can, Boko and Kei are now well offshore the crumbling islet.
The massive, dripping, tentacled thing has no apparent eyes or face other than a fast open maw, but nevertheless it's obvious its attention has been turned to the retreating little vessel who tried to sting it. It slides forward into the edge of the surf, coils its massive (120' long?) body, and then springs into the air toward the little boat. And as it does, everyone in the vessel feels a mental blast strike your brains like a kick to the head.
Gerrard, Dwal, and Peri: make a Wisdom saving throw.
Boko and Kei, seeing a horrid, leaping monster the size of a 10-story tower following a parabolic arc toward their own heads, should make a DEX saving throw to avoid its plummeting body (unless you have other recourse.)
As the colossal horror turns towards them, Gerrard says worriedly, "Seems you got its attention, Brother Fiercehammer," but that is nothing compared to his horror when the massive creature hurls itself into the air at his waterborne companions. "By all that is holy!" he starts before words utterly fail him.

His mouth working in wordless horror, Gerrard stands up and drops his fan in the bottom of the boat. His eyes unfocused into a thousand yard stare, he walks off the side of the boat into the heavy swells, then propelled by the maritime magic of his armor, starts swimming off to the west.

"It''s bewitched him." Dwal says as Gerrard steps over the side of the boat.
Seeing the massive "Thing" launch itself towards the boat. "You best join Gerrard lad." he tells Peri. "If'n its focused on this skiff then maybe I can lead it out away from everyone else. Tha druid will be along in a sec and can take ya all ta tha opposite direction, away from this thing."
Dwl picks up Gerrard's fan and moves towards Peri, waiting for him to respond.
Awestruck as the creature somehow manages to breach, getting it's whole body out of the water. He watches, eyes wide as it passes above him. As it starts to plummet back to the oceans surface he realises he should get out of the way - if that was even possible. He frantically tries to swim to the side, away from the gargantuan squid.
"I'm not givin' up on this boat yet! She saw us home from the last disaster, she'll carry us home from this one." Thinking back on the last time someone was charmed, he fires and eldritch blast at Gerrard, hoping to shock him out of his stupor.
Bokotopus abruptly dives – the only direction she can safely go; Kei is pulled along for the ride. But the shockwave of the massive body hitting the water so close to them separates the pair in a chaotic tumultuous stew. Kei is sent head over heels underwater, and forces water into his lungs. He takes 11 force damage and is somewhat disoriented. Which way is up? Boko is in the clear. The water here is very deep.
Gerrard begins to rapidly swim away from the small boat, through the surging waves, and toward the direction of Abbey Isle. Peri fires a pair of beams of crackling purple power at the retreating adventurer, but only succeeds in boiling water. Gerrard is now 30 feet away.
Boko swirls around in a spiral, trying to clear her head, and her large tentacles spin out, reaching for Kei. If she cannot reach him, she estimates using her swimming ability and her blindsight where he might have been pushed and swims in a pattern trying to find him, again.
Salt water fills his mouth. In a slight panic he touches his cap and blurts out the command word. A sizeable bubble of so surrounds his head. He spits and coughs out the water. "Glad I bought this ugly thing" he speaks out loud. He gazes out from his breathing bubble. Nothing but murky water. He treads water as he contemplates his next move.
The bubbles, turbulence, and sediment begin to clear a little. Boko sees the massive snakelike body drifting downward into the gloomy depths, squirming and writhing.
It takes a long moment before Kei becomes visible.
Everyone may act.
Gerrard stops swimming and just freezes in the water. His armor keeps him somewhat bouyant.
The creature does not surface. Boko can barely see it deep below as it continues to sink.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Peri:
Assuming his blast has shaken Gerrard out of his charm, Peri throws a line toward him before they get too far off. ((DEX check? 15)) "Grab the rope! We'll reel you in!"

Boko tracks the enormous creature's descent visually, not prepared to give pursuit. Committing any detail of markings or body shape to memory for later. She spots Kei, with some kind of bubble around his head and seemingly alive, and does not engage in an immediate rescue. She does one circuit of whatever remains of the island to see what might have been there before whatever that was had been trapped. Was it an undersea pillar? A sunken temple? A random rock? A seamount? Anything noteworthy? She also scans the debris pile for anything interesting. Her eyes keep tracking the part of the deep where the beast had descended, so as not to be surprised. If she sees anything interesting, the items get curled in a tentacle.
Either way, she returns to Kei and helps him get back to the boat, eventually shifting back to herself.
Peri throws a rope, just as a massive wave – the wake of this huge body hitting the surface – threatens the little boat.
Gerrard looks at the rope blankly and makes no move to grasp it.
Peri: Make a Dex Save and add your proficiency bonus to keep the boat from swamping or capsizing
Dwal: Make a Dex Save to avoid being thrown from the boat.
Dwal is able to first make a quick scan of his surroundings, but sees no indication of the movement of the monster other than this huge wave barreling toward them.
Boko and Kei feel immediately out of danger for the moment – the monster has disappeared from view into the depths below. She begins to swim back toward the island to examine the remains. The island is still a geological oddity – almost a conical pillar in the deep ocean – but now the top is considerably eroded. Just a few stones remain above sea level. Boko sees little other than rocks and some crushed masonry from the tower. All she finds is a stray red bottle.
Peri:

Boko, still helping Kei along through the water, dashes and moves fast through the water toward the boat.
