Waiting nervously, Gerrard tries to be still and quiet as the stealthy party members scout. He looks at the light emanating from the sword in his hand and makes sure it is not shining down the hallway towards the sea devil sounds.
Not feeling particularly useful in this scouting effort, he moves over to the unopened cell and carefully lifts the bar, planning to peek in and expecting to see an empty cell.

Boktopus stealthily backs away from the open archway, successfully avoiding the attention of the patroling shell sharks. She catches up with Qivys (whose 60' darkvision is doubles her own Octopus eyesight. How far down the southern hall do you want to go?)
Meanwhile, Gerrard unbars and opens cell block A. It is, as he predicted, completely empty.
Qivys goes another 15 ft. into the corridor then stops. If he does not see any movement or threats he will move back to the main hall and reunite with the rest of the party.
Qivys moves forward, near Boktopus. He begins to make out a stone arch ahead. The crowd noises emanate from it as well. Based on the acoustics, there's one big room in there.
Boko recognizes the sound of a gladiatorial arena when she hears it. She hears the sound of gnashing teeth and thrashing claws of at least two contestants locked in combat, to the roar of a sizable, highly-engaged sahuagin crowd.
As Krill approaches the intersection Kei can feel his telepathic connection begin to fade. He calls his tiny familiar back to him. Anyone looking at him would see the blackness in his eyes drain away like water from a sink. He shakes his head to clear the last image from his mind.
He turns to join his companions and notices that the newcomer, Qivys, is absent. "Where's the new guy? Don't tell me he's gone off half cocked." Then somewhat under his breath "Damn dwarves, every one of 'em patient as the tide." He kicks at a stone on the floor but the heaviness of the water means it only moves a foot or so. This frustrates him even more. "So, are we going to find him or just leave him to the warren that is this place? There's tunnels everywhere down here."
Peri holds his breath as Gerrard opens the last cell, expecting something large and loud to come charging out. But it's empty and he relaxes. A bit. Still he's pretty high-strung with the others out ahead of the group. This is usually his role, and he doesn't like being the one to wait and wonder.
So when Kei implies they should go after the dwarf he desperately wants to say yes. But he knows that irritates him to no end when he's the one creeping ahead, so he restrains himself for the moment.
"A lot of tunnels -- see anything else noteworthy? Any great intelligence sure to tip the balance in our favor, so we can go?"
"Heard a bit of a rall down towards tha ((South?). Lots of cheerin' and yellin'. I didn't go east or west, Boko had tha west covered an that crab thing went east." he tells the group. Qivys stops and thinks for a moment. "I'd say our best bet would ta find those nets and disable 'em best we can." he continues. "Not sure what ya want ta do from then on? Anythin' could be leadin' ta a fight."
Borgas, still a little emotional over the loss of his giant eel companion, tries to further describe what he saw in the net- and gate-equipped guard post he was dragged through.
He explains that the guard post is furnished only with a long bench set against the west wall. At the south end of the east wall, a bronze gate bars the exit to the east. Beside it, on the north wall, is a bronze mechanism of chains, wheels, and pulleys, and a rope, descending through a hole in the ceiling, is lashed to the mechanism – presumably the controls for the gate. Several well-armed sahuagin were here when he was brought through. The bronze gate was closed (brought down) behind them. Separately, installed in the ceiling of the short corridor leading south to the barracks, is a large net trap, maybe 10'x20', held in place on the ceiling by a dangling rope. It was not hidden.
Krill returns to his side. Good crab he expresses his gratitude silently to the familiar. "I let Krill move to the extent of our connection and saw no guards. If what Qivys says is true then perhaps now is the time to move. If the sahuagin are busy with their entertainment we should be able to move a little more freely." He gets ready to head towards the gate room and then pauses. "If we are to disable the gate and net, what then. We will have shown our hand. Do we leave and give the go ahead for the invading force to strike while the defences are down? Or do we explore elsewhere and hope we don't get caught or worse?"
”I am no expert in matters mechanical, but if someone else is and we can sabotage the mechanism so it looks fine but breaks when being used, that would be our best case,” suggests Gerrard, adding, “I would then say we could try to explore—I don’t want to get caught, but we really don’t know much about the upper two levels yet.”

Shell sharks. More than one, swimming up near the ceiling. They do not notice Bokotopus, who can't see much of the room they're in.
If the doorway is open she will reverse course and join Qivys at the other hallway and dart ahead of him, not content to let the big humanoid scout.

The crowd sounds to be at least in the dozens.
