“Reynnar bro, we were worried you wouldn’t make it. What did you see out there?” Zee rushes over to his friend, putting his arm around him in a nurturing way.
"Uh, not entirely sure what I just saw. There's a skeleton woman with claws in there that looks like she'd waiting to pounce whoever comes through. There's also a cauldron that's doing some form of magic. I caught a glimpse of an image of some dwarven miners in the surface of the cauldron..."
"Well, watery tarts distributing undead whales is no way to keep a mining business afloat... and perhaps she's targeting the miners for unseemly purposes. I don't think we can leave her to do her dirty works..."
Looking to Reynnar, Gulin notes, "If her ambush has been seen, perhaps we can turn the tides on her, strike before she can strike first. Ideas?"
"You know, I've been meaning to take a simple shepherd's sling and modify it to be able to toss small clay pots more easily. Think of it! You could cast light on a pebble, put it in a pot, and have a ranged torch on demand! Or, more to the point, punt a jar of alchemist's fire directly into some sea hag's face. But, sadly, that is not something I've developed just yet..."
"But, that does lead to a good point. Our resident Triton can certainly be prepared for a first blow, while the rest of us lie in wait in the corridor, ready to strike once the creature reveals herself."
Zee scratches his beard absentmindedly, “That sounds rad, but I figure if she’s a hag or a witch, she’ll want to keep us at a distance. I could turn into something really small and sneak up behind her, stir the pot a bit….. or maybe setting it on fire would cause more of a distraction. Then you guys can close the distance while she’s not looking and we got her surrounded.”

"If there is one thing I know, it's to never trust a sea witch to have good intentions. I do not trust think cavern witches should be trusted either."
Caspia hoists her weapons into place and prepares.
"A distraction would be nice if you can manage it, Zee, but I have a plan for this witch."Caspia smiles ominously as she preps for her attack and waits for Zee to start his distraction.
**After Zee's distraction** (or not, if Killi decides otherwise)
Bonus Action: Fury of the Tides
Caspia glows blue as she channels the fury of the tides to bolster her attack before she rushes into the cavern and attacks the witch.
Scimitar Attack: 17 Damage: 7
Short Sword Attack: 20 Damage: 3
Caspia launches a double attack at the witch with her scimitar and short sword. Using Fury of the Tides, she pushes the witch away from her 5(?) feet aiming for a wall or stalactite/stalagmite.
Zee takes a deep breath, “When you hear the clang, go for it dudes.” He holds his fingers up in a peace sign as he fades into starlight, shrinking into the tiny form if a spider.
Scuttling through the tunnel, he makes his way past the scary woman towards the cauldron. Once there, he reverts to his usual form before pushing the cauldron over.

While this cavern hasn't exactly been teeming with life, the party has crossed a few small insects in their travels. Zee shifts into a spider and heads down the tunnel towards the hag's home. The rest of the party follows about twenty feet back. As Zee enters the room he sees the hag still peering over the cauldron in the center of the room. His spider appearance doesn't raise any suspicion. Suddenly the druid shifts back to his true form and slams all of his weight against the cauldron. Despite the heat that Zee feels eminating from the top of the cauldron, the cauldron is made out of smooth and cold stone. It is very heavy.
Zee Strength Check (to determine DC of his attack): 14
Hag Saving Throw for Half Damage (DC 10): 4
Cauldron Fire Damage: 5
The move isn't particularly fast, but the creature is obviously shocked by Zee's sudden appearance and fails to react in time. The boiling hot liquid from the cauldron splashes across the hag. While the attack had an effect and the hag looks slightly injured, it didn't have the full affect that Zee was anticipating.
As the cauldron hits the ground Caspia sprints into the room, summons the fury of the tides, and slashes at the hag. The first blow is a solid hit, but it similarly doesn't feel as if it was as effective as it should have been. Caspia turns inward and summons a divine smite to strike down the fiend.
Caspia Divine Smite Critical Hit: 32
The radiant energy strikes the hag with full force. Thanks to the paladin's fury of the tides, the hag is thrown back against a wall with various alchemical and witchcraft related items. The jars on the shelves shudder as the hag braces herself against the wall. She already looks injured.
The melee comes into sight for the other two party members as Gulin and Reynnar sprint down the tunnel, ready to attack.

Gulin charges in closely behind Caspia, stopping to align himself so that he has a clear field of fire with the wall as an immediate backstop should the hag dodge out of the way.
Holding the jar of oil in his left hand, he begins the incantation, his right hand held like an open palm strike. The jar quivers and shakes, free-floating as if attached to his right hand. Gulin thrusts his hand forward and the jar is flung like it was held by a spring.

Reynnar steps forward until he can see the hag, ducks out of sight, drops the torch at his feet, then lights his flaming arrow off of it. Aiming at the hag, he lets loose to try and ignite the oil that (ideally) is coating the hag.
The jar of oil magically sails through the air, launched with ferocious speed from Gulin's hand.
Hag Dexterity Saving Throw (DC 14): 11
The oil impacts, with it's great magical force, against the hag. The hag is now covered in dripping oil. She reels in pain, and lets loose a shriek. She appears to be badly wounded. Reynnar lets loose an arrow attempting to finish the monster, but his shot sails wide.
The hag shouts out in a panic, "Insolent surfacers! My sisters and I will ensure you do not leave!"
You watch as the hag hurriedly runs over to a chest on the side of the small room. She throws open the chest and quickly retrieves a lustrous black gem. She holds the gem aloft in her hands, and assumes a defensive stance as she begins a chant to activate the item.
The hag takes the dodge action. Until the start of her next turn, any attack roll made against her has disadvantage and she has advantage on dexterity saving throws.

Gulin looks so excited to fulfill his grand plans, to release a blast of scorching rays against this hag and end her. He holds his hand up, but sees how the witch seems so very light on her feet.
He let's out a curse in Dwarven that would make a sailor blush and a nun up and leave the mortal coil.
"Finish this! I'll try to hold her down!"
He rushes forward and attempts to tackle the hag and hold her in place.
Move: to the square just north of the hag
Action: Grapple (Athletics) 7
If grapple successful her dodge should be negated.
Zee points at the black gem as Gulin fails to grab the hag. “Uh…. dudes…. that seems like baaaad news.” He closes his eyes, muttering as he backs away from the cave “Stars…. guide these rad buddies of mine through this.” He looks around at his three new friends with a wink. ”Yeah guys…. I think you got this.” With that, he turns and flees.
Caspia's blows sail wild as the hag easily sidesteps the attacks. As Caspia finishes flailing the hag raises the gleaming stone above her head and finishes her chant. Suddenly, and without any fanfare, the hag vanishes.
“Reynnar bro, we were worried you wouldn’t make it. What did you see out there?” Zee rushes over to his friend, putting his arm around him in a nurturing way.
