OOC: It appears that Garu's damage rolls were both literally just rolling "3", rather than 1d8+3, so I'll re-roll those below.
DM Screen:
14/30 21/30
Ogre WIS Save: 9 Garu Damage 1: 6 Garu Damage 2: 6
Javerleen vs. Aisha (Disadvantage-Vicious Mockery): 5 Club vs. Garu: 15
Aisha strikes twice into the back of the ogre facing down T'savi; it falls with a grunt. Its companion looks to it for a moment then turns angrily back to the treed ranger. It hurls another javelin upward, its trajectory thrown by three glowing darts from Abraxas and from Harmony's shout behind it.
With the rest of the creatures down, Garu gets the jump on an ogre in a hypnotic state. Cutting twice into its doughy flesh, she brings her shield up to block its club swing as it groggily comes to.
For Abraxas:
Your vision blurs a third time, quicker than the previous two occasions. You catch another glimpse of yourself locked in arcane combat with the evil being from the statues. This time, you can feel the emotion of the battle, the rush of euphoria as you outsmart the gargantuan monster at every turn, before you see your magic missiles striking the far ogre.
Round 5 Order: Players <===== Ogres
Placement: Aisha and an ogre are at the edge of the clearing, 60 feet away from the statues. Harmony is between Aisha and the statues, 30 feet away from each. Abraxas and Garu are at the statues. Garu is engaged in melee combat with one of the ogres at the statues. Four ogres are incapacitated and unmoving near the statues.
Health: The ogre near Aisha is wounded. The ogre fighting Garu is lightly wounded.
Abraxas is lightly wounded. Aisha is lightly wounded. Harmony is lightly wounded. Garu is lightly wounded.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aisha would assess the situation below. She anted to call Tsavi up but then she may just end up getting attacked anyway and Aisha wouldn't be able to heal her in time. Thinking quickly, she knows Tsavi is smart enough to continue 'avoiding' damage as much as possible, Sighting down her arrows as she once more notches two at once, focusing on her targets, keepign them off the rest of the group, she lets them fly. Wishing she had her spells to help.
Attack: 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Attack: 27 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
If somehow the Ogre falls, she will head to ground level, otherwise she will remain.
If the ogre fighting Aisha is still up, Harmony would cast Vicious Mockery at it. But if not, then she would have cast it at the one attacking Garu instead.
Action: Vicious Mockery, WIS Save 16 or take 5 psychic damage and disadvantage on next attack roll
Abraxas is beginning to wonder if he likes these visions. They seem to be growing more powerful because now he feels an emotional involvement. But there are still living ogres on the ground, not far enough away. He will stay where his is for now, but cast Ray of Frost of Garu's enemy: 17 to hit for 5 damage.
If that ogre has fallen, he will aim for Aisha's enemy instead.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DM Screen:
11/30
Ogre WIS Save: 3 Ogre Athletics: 9
Club vs. Garu (Disadvantage-Vicious Mockery): 14 or 6
Aisha fires both arrows into the top of the ogre's skull. It takes a reflexive swing before falling dead near T'savi. The remaining conscious ogre takes the onslaught of Abraxas's cold energy and Harmony's mockery as it stays back from Garu's blade, swinging and missing the paladin after being shoved backward roughly.
Round 6 Order: Players <===== Ogres
Placement: Aisha and T'savi are at the edge of the clearing, 60 feet away from the statues. Harmony is between Aisha and the statues, 30 feet away from each. Abraxas and Garu are at the statues. Garu is engaged in melee combat with one of the ogres at the statues. Four ogres are incapacitated and unmoving near the statues.
Health: The ogre fighting Garu is wounded.
Abraxas is lightly wounded. Aisha is lightly wounded. Harmony is lightly wounded. Garu is lightly wounded.
With the nearby threats dead, AIsha climbs back down the tree as swiftly as was safe, before laying her hand on Tsavi, pouring that familiar emerald energy into her partners body, healing the damage she took previously before they move in a little closer, saying to the others, Try to keep atleast one alive. We don't know if this was their will or if they were controlled, and we will nyever know if we kill them all. But Only one. We can't rrrisk more than that.
Abraxas will shift on the top of the statue, turning to aim Ray of Frost more carefully at Garu's opponent: 23 to hit for 12 damage.
"The statues do seem to try and fill those close to them with hostility," he will say. "or at least hubris. I can wake one of the ogres at a distance by wounding it, I suppose, but how can we prevent it from attacking us once it is alert?"
Harmony hears Aisha and Abraxas, thinking. "I do have a spell that could charm an ogre for a hour if it works so it'll be friendly to us. But we would have to take care of it once the hour is up." she says back to them before casting Vicious Mockery on the one attacking Garu.
Action: Vicious Mockery on the ogre attacking Garu, WIS Save 16 or take 4 psychic damage and disadvantage on the next attack roll
The fighting ogre practically falls atop Garu with a heavy thud, struck in the back by a large blast of frost from Abraxas, with a twisted look of rage frozen across its face. At the treeline, Aisha restores T'savi's spent energy.
The ogre's four companions remain, for the moment, utterly in awe of the dazzling display of color that they see.
Once the last ogre falls, Abraxas will ask Harmony, "If you're ready to cast Charm, I can wake one of them. What else can we do to be ready? Anything?" He'll stand on the top of the statue. "The statues are giving me angry visions," he says. "Let's remember our friendship."
As he says this, he will focus on the things the party has accomplished together. He will try to keep his thoughts focused on destroying their enemies. Abraxas is thinking about his own thoughts even more than usual.
Aisha satisfied that Tsavi could withstand another blow, moves forward until she can see the other ogre's clearly enough. Then quickly, focus all damage onto a single tarrrrget, and only hit one of them at a time! THen whichever one is left, we shall charrrm.
With that, if there wasn't already a 'conscious' one, Aisha would pick a target visible to all the party, otherwise she would aim at the one already 'awake' with both, not sending Tsavi in just yet.
Club vs. Harmony (Disadvantage-Vicious Mockery): 7
Both of Aisha's arrows plod into an ogre's chest, waking it from its stupor. Holding its head briefly as Harmony mocks it, the creature charges past an incoming ray of frost from Abraxas and takes a mighty swing toward Harmony. The swing is heavy and slow, and the bard easily ducks it.
Round 8 Order: Players <===== Ogres
Placement: Aisha and T'savi are at the edge of the clearing, 50 feet away from the statues. Harmony is between Aisha and the statues, 30 feet away from each. One ogre is engaged in melee combat with Harmony. Abraxas and Garu are at the statues. Three ogres are incapacitated and unmoving near the statues.
Health: The ogre fighting Harmony is wounded.
Abraxas is lightly wounded. Aisha is lightly wounded. Harmony is lightly wounded. Garu is lightly wounded.
