The anemone do not seem to notice you until Garu speaks, at which point they unfurl an array of tentacles. Though they turn to watch your trip around the walkway, with Mro Jus Bir and Mro Jus Bur following closely behind, they do not crest the surface of the water, and each of you reaches the opposite door safely.
Harmony was very surprised when she saw the tentacles, shivering and nervous. But luckily they managed to get across and over to the door safely, relieved. She heard Garu talking with the creatures, only hearing gurgling hissing from it as she waited to see if it would be safe to go through the door now.
Still watching the tentacles, Abraxas moves to a spot within Mage Hand range, but not too close to the water. He plans to open the door using the spell.
He also is stunned to discover he only has three days worth of rations. "Garu," he says, "All I've got is a few days worth."
Abraxas looks at his colleagues. "Should we move on? Or do you think the tentacles might have information for us, Garu? What might they be able to tell us?"
Harmony had heard Garu ask if they had any food, shaking her head no. Then she heard Abraxas ask about moving on, thinking. "Yeah, let's get going." she said back to him, nodding as ready to move on as well.
Abraxas and the others advance through the door up the ascending hallway. He is slightly worried about going first and encourages Garu or Simeon to go before he does. Abraxas also tries to perceive any unusual sights: 19.
At the end of the stairway is another door, which Simeon opens into a crowded room, 15 feet to a side. Nine hooded statues fill the room, standing evenly about the space. There is barely any room to move through, but as the door opens, the three statues in the center of the chamber shift, grinding stone as they move to the side, locking arms with the statues along the wall.
With the statues moved, there is now a narrow path to traverse the room. A door is closed at the opposite end, in front of which is a tall and beautiful humanoid woman. She is youthful but her ridged cheekbones bear a foreign look, and her face is stern.
The statues all now grind and turn to face you. "Enter," their deep voices invite you in.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Is there anything about the statues that alarms Abraxas? Are they golems? He'll consider his knowledge of the arcane: 9.
Staring, perhaps rudely at the humanoid woman, Abraxas whispers, "Female? High cheekbones? Unhappy?" to his colleagues. "We're all seeing the same thing, right?" He will step towards her, adjusting the straps of his book bags.
"Greetings," he will say to her in Common. "We seem to have been invited past you," and he will, watching her, step beyond her toward the next door. "Hope that's okay?"
Garu casts Speak with Animals and tries to communicate to the creatures. “Please do not attack us.”

Abraxas watches the tentacles over one shoulder. He also investigates the door for traps 24, and casts Mage Armor on himself.

Simeon, still ready to unleash guiding bolt, if the situation calls for it, leads the way through the door...
