Garu Persuasion: 12
As Garu kneels, Tylyn's answered guidance and wisdom comes wordlessly, a feeling that Garu understands with clarity: "You have already learned of Kayel's treachery. Now you must act on it."
"Thank you for that news, Garu," Abraxas says. "Thank you for being the kind of person the gods speak with. However, thoughts on how we act on our knowledge? Where do we go? What do we do? Is helping Gupry getting us closer to being helpful?"
Harmony had heard Aisha, very surprised and nodding. "Yeah, we had visions too, though yours sound different from the one we had." she said back, hearing the others wonder how to help the gods more directly before Garu prayed. Then she heard Garu talk about going back after this and going to the temple of Kayel to let them know, agreeing. "We can do that. I feel bad, abandoning or delaying the other jobs, but we do need to help the gods and save our worlds after all." Harmony had said back to them.
Aisha knows nyot whom this gupry is or if she did, she has forgotten... What is the task you are helping them with? Also why is this world so full of everything going on at once! But tell Aisha of your dream, then of what gupry demands, then we can decide the relevance. she says, continuing her whittling, while Tsavi lazes about.
"Seems like the Gupry keep sending their best climbers to go steal eggs in order to keep up the magic that protects them. However, no climbers have returned and they're feeling ...exposed." Garu states with a bit of chafing in her voice.

"We've agreed to go gather eggs and hopefully some surviving warriors," Abraxas says. "The world has survived our side trips so far. Our word needs to mean something. I suggest we keep out promise to the frog folk. We may wish for climbing gear, but hopeful just to ease the way rather than to make it possible at all. Once we have helped them, we go to the temple." He will move toward the door. "How does that sound?"
Aisha sighs, as it seems the group is still as gung-ho as ever to help every grandmother cross the street. Aisha understands your concerrn, and it is not as though Aisha does not feel for them either. Howeverr... Aisha would like to point out something you all seem to be overrrlooking. She pauses for a moment to gather her breath, and she does seem to have genuine pity for Gupry... How many cities where 'we come frrrom' have magical barriers protecting them from the dangers outside? How many towns, villages, hamletts have such things? Even many of our largest cities lack these. Only the elves ever rrreally had them, and a few specific places where mages were abundant. Yet do they cowerr? No, they fight for their survival themselves. Almost no one 'where we come from' has such luxuries and yet they thrrrive.
she sighs, as she finally gets up, collecting the wood pieces, as Tsavi gets up as well, approaching them and putting her hand on each of their shoulders as Tsavi acts like a house-cat, rubbing her face against their legs, as if Tsavi had become kinder 'since,' But we cannot cry over every, single, broken eggshell. Our goal herre is to save this world, and that will save ourr own. And personally, AIsha only really cares about saving her own. It just happens that we have to save this one to save ourrrs. So good for them, yes? If we stop thoguh for every single maiden crying for help, this world may die while were saving a kitten from a trrree. Do you underrstand? This is why Aisha has always pushed for us to better ourrselves to get us money and powerful weapons, and armors so that we can accomplish our task. Aisha sighed once more as she let her hand drop from the person it was on last, petting Tsavi across the back of her head.
But as selfish as it may be, it is we who are to save this worrld, not the frog or the fish people, not the people of the town we saved the mayor from. It is us, and we are alone. We need powerful things and money to buy these things, because if we are facing off against DIETIES what good is this wooden bow hmm? Am I to tickle their nuts with my arrows until they die of laughter? I care for these people enough to feel bad for their plight, but if we fail our mission, they die anyway, and all our goodwill goes to waste 'anyway.'
So I was nyot there for the tower, did you find the powerful weapons Aisha was seeking? or no? Because one way or another, sitting idle outside of resting for the night, is wasted time.
Harmony listened as the others told Aisha what they were doing to help the gupry, nodding in agreement to Abraxas about keeping their promise first. But then she was listening to Aisha talk about back home how most places don't have a barrier and just fight for survival. still thriving. That is true, but still. Then she felt Aisha's hand on her shoulder and feeling Tsavi rubbing against her legs, giggling and smiling. She petted Tsavi, glad to see her again until Aisha continued on about their goal, that they shouldn't be helping out everyone else when the world could end at any moment. They need money and powerful items if they have to face off against deities, that if they fail then everyone will die anyway. When the other asked if they found the powerful weapons in the tower, Harmony shook her head no.
"Aisha, I get it. We do need to save our worlds, I know that. It's hard for me not to want to help everyone though, especially because we are from another world and I've always tried my best to help others back home when I could. Doing these missions has gotten us money, connections, or at least information relating to this world, the deities and what we are meant to do. No, there were no powerful weapons in that tower. It was all illusions and trickery, luring travelers in only to bring about their doom. We found a exact model of Lyrikav in there and got the vision from Gabrielle and Ginan about a second plot, Kayel's treachery and how he seeks Fenrir the dread wolf. But then Tylyn came to us thanks to Garu, telling us not to worry about them since it is a distraction. They gave us the clarity to see through the illusions in that tower, telling us that the second plot has to do with Lyrikav as it's destination. The tower knew that we were coming; having statues of you, Olive, and Isabella as a trap meant to kill us. We got to the end of the tower and some demonic creatures had done a ritual, creating a teleportation portal that could have taken us all back to our homes, wanting us to abandon this world. When we were leaving the tower, what I thought were just ordinary women looking for my company were three gross undead heads in a room all covered in blood and the old woman who Abraxas played a game of chess with before was actually an evil creature who took limbs from those that lost to her and was kidnapping people from Lyrikav, collecting them for some purpose. So clearly we have to do something to help or protect those in Lyrikav from this second plot, but that doesn't mean we can't at least finish this one mission first. It should be no problem if we work together to get it done quick enough and I'd rather not go back on a promise. We have an offer for another mission working on information gathering as well, and there seems to be a gathering of orges and bugbears to the south of Lyrikav too." Harmony explained her reasoning and everything that had happened in the tower from what she could remember along with the other missions they were going to do too.
Aisha had more or less expected that answer, especially from Harmony -not that she thought it in a bad way, in a way it was sweet..- but Aisha sighed heavier than the last time. She closed her eyes and took a breath. Aisha wasn't smart but she was wiser than some... Fine... Let us be done with this qickly.. Show Aisha where we need to go.. so long as it is not solid rock or metal, Aisha's claws should suffice to climb with. Aisha will scout ahead, and Aisha still has some rrrope, if each end is not too high we can work it like so or Aisha can be helped by Tsavi to simply tug you up. Aisha can agree to helping sometimes... but aisha feels the need to re-emphasize... there are hundreds.. millions.... or whatever the next big number is.. of 'people' in the world, and all of them have prroblems. If we stop to help every, single, one, it will never end. And both our worrlds die.
So let us go to this place. Aisha can climb most likely. And either way, Aisha still has rrope and pitons.
Abraxas has been listening to Harmony and Aisha. He has mixed emotions about what each of them have said, but feels like the practical thing is to keep the group together, at least. He'll follow the others toward the mountain.
OOC: Granting Harmony Inspiration for that awesome summary of events. This humble DM thanks you for your attention to detail. Reunited, the party returns to the mountainside at the edge of the village. The flora of the mountainside is dense nearer the village, but clears out as you reach the base of the cliffs. The rocky landscape provides many handholds, but the climb near the ground looks particularly difficult. A wider ledge lines the cliffside forty feet off of the ground, and looks to provide an easier path further above.
Harmony listened to Aisha, nodding as she understood how she felt but was glad that the other would help them with this mission. So she will leave with them all, heading to the mountain side as she sees all the handholds and a wider ledge on the cliff too.
"Aisha," Abraxas says, "What do you think? Is that something you can climb? I might be able to climb up ten feet and use a spell called Misty Step to reach the wide edge."
