The climb is simple for Aisha, her claws providing grip where other humanoid hands might not. Before long, a path has been created with pitons and rope to allow the rest of the party to make the climb almost as easily.
Starting from the ledge, a path of sorts winds its way up the mountainside. Though not nearly as steep as the cliffside, the path is littered with small rocks and gravel that might make footing difficult. The first hundred feet of the path can be seen clearly before it wraps around this mountain.
Aisha looks back at the rope and pitons sadly, since they were all or most of what she had left in that regard, but as she see's the small rocks on the ground, she starts moving by shuffling her feet, telling Tsavi to do the same, which... proves difficult initially for the Panther, but she eventually gets into it. Shuffle your feet.. It will not be the quietest.... but you will not slip because you stepped on too round a rock....
Abraxas watches Aisha and Tsavi. He begins to use the same technique. "What do we know about these flying creatures," he asks. "Has anyone dealt with perytons?" (He will consult his own personal History as well: 13, or is this more a question of Survival: 7?
Garu sets along the path, bringing up the rear. She gives the others a wider berth, employing her own claws and natural climbing skills at a leisurely pace.

Moving so cautiously, you have little difficulty ascending the mountainside, though faster movement could mean a very quick trip to the bottom, even with Aisha and Garu's extra grip. The path twists upward, growing steeper in some parts but not enough to make the slow movement dangerous.
The sky and the mountains are quiet throughout the hour-long hike. The first noteworthy sight is a fork in the path, thousands of feet above the ground. One fork continues to ascend, moving out of sight again, while the other flattens out, ending in a small cave opening just large enough to crouch through.

"Hmm," Abraxas says. He will Investigate the cave without moving more than a step or two towards it: 20. Specifically, he looks for signs of habitation: bits of feather on the edge of the cave, the smell of blood or bird-like animals, and frog-people tracks.
Abraxas detects an animal-like scent in this area, as well as a small pile of something that looks like grey stone just inside the cave. He does not see any tracks in the immediate vicinity, made difficult by the hard nature of the mountainous terrain.
For Abraxas:
On Toril, peryton are monstrosities. People tend to mistake them for large birds of prey, often to their own detriment, as a peryton does not often have qualms about attacking humanoids.
Garu speaks: “Do we think some of the missing might be in there? If not, it might be better to continue on. Cornering a species in its home is usually a good way to make it angry.”

Asia has been silently following but speaks in a whisper when Garu speaks up Aisha... has to agree with Garu. Let us not poke our head into a predators nest, or what might be one. If there were any in there they have already been made a meal of. let us continue.
Harmony had seen the path fork, one leading to a cave as she heard Garu. She nodded, hoping that there hadn't been any missing people in there as Abraxas had said to move on and she would follow them.
The ascent becomes steeper once it wraps around the mountainside. Around this side, the path flattens out to a narrow ledge as well. Only five feet wide, the ledge leads to two caves, slightly larger than the first. From the farther cave, a beast emerges; appearing as an oversized eagle at first, its most prominent features are the deer-like antlers on its head. It kicks off of the mountain gravel, soaring into the distant sky.
Abraxas looks for something he might shelter behind along the edge. If he sees such a place, he moves towards it. Whether or not he can find a spot, he readies Ray of Frost. If the beast moves toward him or any of his allies, he will cast it.
Aisha draws her bow and readies an arrow to fly should the creature make any hostile approaches, but otherwise does nothing, leaving the animal talk to Garu.
Harmony sees the creature, surprised but watches Garu try to talk to it. She would wait to see if it is friendly or not before considering charming it if it doesn't want to talk.
The creature has not made a move toward the party, and in fact, is moving quite quickly in the opposite direction. In just a few seconds, it is past speaking range with a normal vocal volume. If it understood Garu, it showed no signs of that. The bird-like monstrosity is quickly becoming a faint line on the horizon.

Abraxas nods. "Okay," he says, "onward and upward." Abraxas turns onto the trail that leads farther towards the top of the mountain.
