Ash unconsciously activates his shield upon being hit by the first slash of Darrimus's blade. He is still hit by the second attack for 18 damage! "Do you spew fire when you are in the bathroom, charcoal??" the echo of the past says in Ash's ear. "ARRRGHHHHH!"
Ash expertly aims the Fireball to detonate behind Darrimus cooking his backside. Darrimus armor heats up and the pain in unbearable. Darrimus collapses to the ground unconscious, incapacitated, and prone.
Upon hearing his companion's scream, Ash starts to come back to his senses. "No....what have I done? Did it happen again?" Ash runs to Darrimus and attempts to bring him back to consciousness.

After resting for a long while, Ash looks to his companions with a serious tone: "Darrimus is right. It seems like we aren't fully aware of what each of us are capable of yet. We should test our skills against each other. We will need that control and knowledge to help us in the upcoming battle."
With dread still in his eyes, Ash moves his gaze from the ground up to Stilgar.
"A lot of things....happened at the academy. This dragon blood that runs through my veins... It's not as easy to control as my years of training have made it appear."
After a thought, a small grin of relief flashes across Ash's mouth.
"I was isolated because of this curse. But one person reached out to me during that time. Ulala... Yes, if these years of hardship are what allowed me to meet her, then I believe it has all been worth it. To imagine that my chance to repay that debt in her time of need has come...it gives me a sense of joy and purpose."
Ash clenches his fist, and a flame starts to dance around it.
"But I'm going to need all of your help to do that. What to you say, should we spend these few days of rest to train our abilities?"
Laurentia patches Darrimus up with the healing spirit as she counts her newfound coins grinning. After helping him she will join Ash and Stilgar and ask if Ash needs a nuzzle from an overcuddly hedgehog.

stilgar dodges the wave of fire with the expertise and grace of a dancer, but unfortunately finds himself trapped in a ring of fire! rather than testing his fate from within the trap, he bursts through the wall of flames.
once clear of the fire, he runs his hand across his blade lunging at his next target!

As Stilgar looks around the ring of fire, he sees one of Ash's illusions become engulfed in the flame. "Arrrghghhhhhh it burns....!!!" *poof*
Ash observes Stilgar run out of the wall of fire to stab the last of his illusions.

"I will try to make this hurt less, but it will end quickly either way!"
Ash tries to keep up with Stilgar's incredible speed, but is unable to when he disappears before his eyes.
Ash makes note of his remaining illusion. He casts haste on himself while bracing for the next attack.

Until the spell ends, the target's speed is doubled, it gains a +2 bonus to AC, it has advantage on Dexterity saving throws, and it gains an additional action on each of its turns. Ash turns his gaze to Laurentia in the distance.
" I kept the damage to a minimum this time!" he shouts to her, while starting to pick up Stilgar on his shoulder.
