As your friends recover from the assault, Droki begins wailing and wallowing on the ground.
"What have you done? No. No. No! NO! NO!! Now I'll never get paid. I'll never receive those scrolls. Those wonderful, exquisite, spell spelly scrolls! You'll pay for this, all of you! Narrak will have your skins and curse you just like that stone giant!"
After saying this, he devolves in to fits of laughter mixed with crying and screaming.
(OOG Some quick notes and reminders as you decide on what to do next.) a) You were tasked by the captain of the Stone Guard, Errde Blackskull, to follow and capture Droki, and potentially find out what he was doing that might be a threat to Gracklstugh. As well as report on any other strange happenings in and around the city. In exchange you'll get supplies for traveling towards Blingdenstone, where you've heard there might be surface access. b) You were also treated to a meeting with the Stonespeaker, who is looking into what happened to his stone giant, that you saved. c) A svirfneblin ghost named Pelek that had been killed by Buppido, requested you retrieve his severed hand, which crawled away somewhere in these caverns, and bury it in Blingdenstone. d) Rumpadump requested to go back and see his friend Stool, who you left with Sarith at The Ghohlbrorn's Lair Inn, in Gracklstugh. Rumpadump seemed to want to distance himself from the strange behavior of his fellow Myconid.
Valrish wakes up not too long after being turned into a fried dragon. He slightly opens his eyes, muttering to himself. "Am I... with Bahamut?" He says, not really seeing any glorious light reminiscent of what a heaven would look like. He gets up, slowly remembering how he tried to hit the lighting with his longsword, only for it to serve as a catalyst for the spell, causing a disastrous result. "I... Don't feel so good..."

Grimnir is looking around at the two aberrations lying on the floor and at the derro. " Well, that was a close call, that will be a hell of a story to tell at the tavern! Is everybody alright ?".
" I think we can bring back the notebook and Droki to Blackskull." Then cutting one or two eyes of the spectators " This would do as a proof we took care of everything here". Grimnir looks around for any severed hands (OOC: the one of Pelek) then approaches the obelisk and see if the lump he looted earlier on Droki is having an effect on how the structure works.
"I think a short rest might be needed, but I think we still need to continue to explore these tunnels. I pledged to find the hand of Pelek and we might find more about what's is going on here..." Then, approaching Droki,Grimnir kneels: "This would have been easier without you alerting them. Now, this derro didn't have any scrolls that you are speaking of. What about you show us the way to that Narrak and we we might put a good word for you when you will meet captain of the Stone Guard?.... Who knows, Droki, they might give you a scroll as a reward for helping. You'd like a scroll, don't you?"
Oorr - You don’t find anything else of note around the perimeter. The egg is large and sits loosely in a small nest of twigs. It is red in color and seems to be radiating a faint heat. It would be possible to carry it but you could not wield a weapon at the same time.
Grimnir - you cannot find any evidence of a severed hand in this room. Droki stops sniveling just long enough to raise an eyebrow, intrigued by your offer. (OOG Roll persuasion, or deception, depending on if you are telling the truth.)
Also the lump of metal is warm in your hand and you can feel it pulling towards the obelisk the closer you bring it. As you come within a few feet of the obelisk, the metal lump leaps from your hand and slams into the side of the tower. It melds itself into the cracks, filling them in and making the obelisk smooth in a small area. There is a slight pulse of magical energy, but after that, the obelisk returns to its original state.
Persuasion: 14 (OOC: definitively true about putting a good word to the captain, mostly true about a low level scroll unless my compagnons do not want)
"Well, this room has only one entrance, so it should be easier to guard. I'm fine with getting some rest" Grimnir is checking that the 2 sets of manacles that restrains Droki are still holding well.
Valrish, now all beaten from the fight, decides to take a look at the large, red and glowing egg on the ledge opposite to the obelisk. He curiously stares at it and touches it, noticing the warmth it gives off. It reminds him of the eggs and hatchlings from his tribe, and it gives him a warm feeling, as if he was a little bit closer to his family, and most importantly, to the surface he had been trying to reach ever since he had gotten stuck in these damned caves that seemed to be constantly trying to kill him, and to make matters worse, there was no sunlight at all. Thinking about all of this, Valrish makes up his mind, and decides to rest near the egg before and after taking his guard turn and to carry the egg to the surface with him. This, he tells his comrades, is because he firmly believes that the egg is a dragon egg, and being able to guard, hatch and raise a true dragon, a descendant of the ones who created him and his kin, would be the biggest honour and pride for him.

Droki stops his whining and considers Grimnir’s offer. After a moment he says, “Agreed but we must hurry! I am already behind! And maybe I could have my satchel back? Narrak will be cross if he doesn’t get his nail clippings.” Droki’s bindings seem secure though he complains as you check that they are too tight.

Valrish - Having taken a particular interest in the egg you grow somewhat concerned. If it is indeed a dragon egg it needs to be kept very hot or else any creature inside will die. The heat you feel from it is the egg losing its internal heat. You also recall hearing that a Gracklstugh actually houses a red dragon, Themberchaud, who stokes the city’s forges, but whether this egg has anything to do with hm, you do not know.
You take your turns guarding the one entrance to the room as you settle in for a long rest. Though the cavern is brightly lit, you and your companions manage to get enough rest to recover from your ordeals. Later, Droki taps his feet impatiently, clinking the manacles, impatient to get moving onward. The faezresz shifts as you wake, causing everyone a slight headache.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
66 Rumpadump - After you finish your rest the myconid sprout is found unconscious. Nothing seems to rouse him, but he comes to a few minutes later.

"I do not know to which creature this egg belongs, but this does not seem the right place for it. Maybe it is worth taking it with us. After a rest."
OOC With the DM approval, I would propose a long rest. We are low on health and spell slots.
