Dewey: The last Kenku runs out the open gate, almost stepping on the body of its fallen brother. Having used your reaction, you can do nothing to stop it.

Sol Rhea, you're up. Do you want to continue the pursuit or get back to your original search?

"We need him alive! " she snarls to her companion before  rushing to nonlethally crossbow the other Kenku. Attack: 11 Damage: 3

“You want to question this one?”  Dewey asks as he stabs the dead Kenku at his feet. “Stupid bird.”

Randy says in his monotone. "Come, let's get him."

Dewey stabs the kenku again before nodding his assent. 

Sol Rhea: Your crossbow bolt hits the Kenku in the back of its skinny bird leg and it drops to the ground, still alive, but knocked out.

What do you all want to do now?

Randy looks to his companions inscrutably under his dark hood. In a voice devoid of any enthusiasm or feeling he says, "Good work. Now let us get that bird and bring him into the warehouse. Do any of you have rope with which to tie him?"

“Yar, a sailor always has rope. Would you prefer silken or hemp rope?” 

Randy says monotonously, "It does not matter."

“Doesn’t matter!  Doesn’t matter!??”  Dewey screams incredulous.   “Do you want to tie a sailor’s snatch?  A gaping  wench?  A rousted brown-eye?  Just try tying a cockswain’s cock-knot with hempen rope!  Beware the chaffing!  Beware!”

Randy does not move, but a deep sigh can be heard from the depths of his hood, and the exhalation moves the fabric a bit.

 As they bicker, Kevin ties the bird up with his Hempen rope. "There! That ought to contain our feathered friend!"

“Not a bad knot there.  Is that an inverted reach around?”  Dewey asks as he nods in approval at Kevin’s handiwork. 

Randy says blandly, "Let us bring the bird inside and finish investigating the warehouse while we wait for it to awaken." With that he turns around and walks back to the warehouse, obviously expecting one of the others to bring the bird into the warehouses.

Sol moves with Randy inside, "we never searched that closet..."

Kevin picks up the bird and follows the others back inside.

Dewey starts to walk inside but does a double take as he glances back at the dead bird beside the gate. 

“Stupid bird.” Dewey says as he stabs the dead bird with his rapier, once again. Then he walks inside. 

You all drag the tied up, unconscious Kenku back into the warehouse.

You all stand around its prone form. Sol Rhea glances at the closet she never got to check. What do you all want to do?

"My dear comrade Sol," Kevin begins, "why don't you investigate that closet that was of interest to you?"  Kevin then pours a little water on the bird's face to wake him up.

Randy shouts directly into the bird's brain in a high pitched scream, "Wake up. It is time for you to answer questions."
