Crag, Alec, and Aida quickly bind the two remaining Kenku.
And out from the storeroom under the stairs comes Justin and Ondrea, both keeping an eye on a man in his middle years, wearing what was once finery, but is now dirty and torn. Even though his appearance is a littel ragged, he carries himself with an air if confidence.
Crag, you recognize him as Renaer Neveremnber.
"Well done, and thank you," he looks each one of you in the eyes. "Seems I owe you. Renaer Neverember is my name. It was pretty touch and go there for a while. I sure am glad you lot showed up.

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, young lord. We had heard that you and a Floon Blaagmar had potentially fallen into a bit of trouble. We managed to track the two of you to this locale, however we still seem to be missing your overly dressed counterpart. What happened here?"
Raenar looks slightly embarrassed as he tells you his story.“ I'm afraid it's a case of mistaken identity. They think Floon is me, and the Zhentarim thinks that my father embezzled a large amount of gold while he was Open Lord, and that he hid the dragons somewhere in the city. They think they can find it by using an artifact called the Stone of Golorr, which was in the hands of the Xanathar Guild until recently. Apparently, someone stole it. The Zhents thought I knew something about all of this, but I don’t. My father and I haven’t spoken in years. And the conflict between the two is over this stone. I heard the Xanthar guild flunkies say they were taking Floon to one of their sewer hideouts. They said something about following the yellow signs in the sewers. I wish I could be more help.”

"By Aethon Sol, it sounds like we should bring some light into these dark sewers." Ondrea fidgets with her gear and halberd, clearly impatient about moving on to clear some evil.
"Can we afford a brief respite? I for one am feeling rather full of holes and would prefer to give a better showing of myself against any potential evil we might encounter. If time is of the essence mind you, my faith in the good and righteous have carried me through worse."
Crag would like to take a short rest if his companions agree and we believe it to be safe enough here. If not, he has 3 points of healing left with Lay-on-hands, and can/will spend 2 of them (gotta keep that one hp for emergencies) to at least put himself at 3 HP.
"I think taking at least a short rest is a good idea, how is everyone else feeling? I'm not injured, but I'm not sure I can muster any more spells until I've had a longer time to rest."
"I agree. A brief moment to collect ourselves and mend our wounds would be beneficial. Perhaps we escort our friend here back to his domicile and make our way to a tavern of sorts?"
How long ago (hour wise) was the fight with the thugs in the tavern?
(It's been about two hours since you left the Yawning Portal, saw the remnants of the street fight, made your way to the Skewered Dragon, and then to the warehouse.)
As you begin to discuss plans for a rest of some sort, you hear the sound of heavy boots from outside, and bursting through the door comes a contingent of the City Watch. Their Captain, a human man that Crag recognizes as Captain Hyustus Staget comes through the door first, and is quickly flanked by a dozen member s of the Watch.
The Captain takes a quick look around then addresses the party. "We receives a report of suspicious activity here, and now clearly there has been murder done here. Quickly now explain yourselves."

Crag approaches the captain, offers him a salute, and begins to explain truthfully everything that has occurred and that he has learned since leaving the yawning portal, including the search for Floon, discovering the Kenku here, finding Raenar and learning of the Zhentarim and the stone of Golorr. He also explains their plan to venture into the sewers to continue the search. He makes no effort to lie or conceal any additional information he is asked about.
"Ah Crag, well met." says the captain. "I hope you are keeping the blood off the streets today." Crag you have a standing relationship with Captain Staget, as he is the one in charge of keeping the peace in the dock ward. You know he is a bit uptight, but has a positive relationship with all the shopkeepers, guild members, innkeeper,s and tavern keepers in the Dock Ward. Staget doesn’t believe in rumors or gossip, he doesn’t drink, and he doesn’t let anger get the better of him. His job is to curb the violence in the Dock Ward. Crag you've heard from a few of friends within the Watch, that he has been a little lax lately, more than happy to let the two rival gangs wear each other out.
As you tell your story to the Captain, he motions to the constables to search the warehouse. And the end of your tale he has a sour look upon his face, and spits on the ground in disgust. "I had a detail on this place for weeks, but decided to pull them 3 days ago because nothing was happening here." Staget shakes his head in frustration.
With that he looks over at Renaer, "My lord," he gives a small nod of his head.
"Captain," He nods back. "These folks have done a find job here, and should be recognized as such, please make sure moving forward they have high standing with the Watch, they have my permission to be anywhere in the city no questions asked. Consider them under my protection."
Staget stiffens at the formal address, "Yes m'lord, as long as they are not engaging in criminal activities, it will be so. As for your friend, it sounds like he has definitely been taken into the sewers, Xanathar is know to have several bases of operations down there. The Watch will not send troops down there," he looks over to Crag, "But I would consider it a favor if you cleared one out that is around here."
With that the captain turns and begins to oversee the policing of all the bodies, the Watch takes the two Kenku into custody, and fairly efficiently the bodies are loaded onto carts waiting outside.
(You can all take the benefits of a short rest here.)
As you are binding wounds, and taking a moment to gather your thoughts Renaer approaches, "Friends, I hate to press you into service so quickly, I know that you have suffered greatly at my expense. But I implore you to please be after Floon, I feel terrible that he is in this simply because he looks like me."

Crag beams at the opportunity to both protect the city, and directly help a man he respects.
"We will do right by our fine city and bring safety and justice for it's people. I give you my personal word we will stay within the bounds of the law. We are no better than those we strive to stamp out if we stoop to their level."
He gives a final quick salute and begins tending to his wounds.
Alec, Captain Staget turns to you, "Just keep the blood off the streets!

Watching his body language as he speaks, and noticing the sadness in his eyes when he talks about Floon, you believe Raenar to be telling the truth
