Lia The ghostly entity doesn’t respond. It silently floats back into the crystal, as if being absorbed.
Harq/Kronk Kronk exits the hold and goes back to the main deck before talking to the captain. Harq can hear this. Brynn looks at Kronk in confusion for a moment, then smiles and says, “The repairs won’t hold for long. We will need to get to land as soon as possible.” She looks at Harq. “Can you figure out which way we need to go in this damn storm? We just passed over these.” She points to the jagged rocks the ship had semi-crashed into earlier. Skarhys, without a word, runs over to climb the mast.
9+3 ((modifier, but I messed up the roll))
Skarhys fails, unable to grip the wet and slippery mast properly.
Brodan ((Rolling an Investigation check: 13))
While checking the other parts in the lower deck of the ship, you don’t find any other rooms that have water leaking in. You do, however, find Lia alone in one.
((Harq is proficient in Navigator's Tools, so how would the roll work for this?))
"I'd need to see the maps to know where we're going... and this storm is making navigation tough. I think we'll just need to wait it out!" Harq replies over the rain
Lia nods to her companion as he opens the door on her. "Let's get topside and see about getting to land." She says, heading out.
Once up on deck. "That way to land." She announces, pointing to the north. (Assuming I still know the direction she was told to go... Let me know if you need a roll or something for that...)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Harq ((I believe that is 1d20+WIS mod+proficiency: 24))
Using the maps that Skarhys had brought up earlier, you are able to find out your exact location. Due to the storm, you are unable to use the stars to navigate, but you determine that the nearest land is north (port side of the ship) of you and is about 5000ft away.
Lia You know to go north but you can’t be sure of where that would be.
Kronk will climb up to the crow’s nest and call out directions.
DEX 4
”Oil be greased like pig at dance!” Kronk roars in frustration as he simply plops to the deck like a discarded dish rag. He scramble to his feet, kick the mast, snarling at it as though it were a living foe. Bracing himself, he grasps the mast as if to throttle it, and tries again.
"Captain! Those rocks are clearly these" pointing to the map Harq continues, amazingly sure of his navigation sense "so we're near to shore. If we head north we should be able to reach land, even with the damage to the ship. There we can work on some repairs, and deal with the mutineers before heading on."
Lia continues trying to get a sense of direction from her crystal, but also grabs onto something sturdy as the boat starts to turn northward. With the rocks they already hit as a warning, she expects to be running into more before too long.
Brynn turns the wheel quickly, steering the ship to go northbound as Harq said.
The ship moves towards land, with the wind blowing the sails forward. After half an hour of navigating between Harq and Brynn, the Sea Lady makes it out of the storm. You can all see ((and I’m assuming Helena would also be on the main deck by now)) land far ahead, about 1000ft away.
Brodan will follow Lia up to the deck, guessing that she had been looking to be of help as well. Once they are in sight of land the dwarf sighs in relief. He swears to himself that this will be last time he ever goes on a boat minus the way back to the mainland. "Praise the gods land!"
Helena also lets out a sigh of relief. "Praise the gods indeed.... and here I was hoping for a peaceful ride." She shouts to the captain. "How long will it take to reach land?"
Harq, helping the captain steer the ship, looks over towards Kronk and chuckles saying "Yes friend, you can eat all the dirt you'd like soon enough. Though it'll likely be mud with all this rain..." he then turns to the captain to ask "Cap'n, from this island how far are we from our destination? I don't think we've ever really been told exactly where we're going."
To Helena, Brynn responds “Maybe ten minutes. There doesn’t seem to be a great place to dock though.” To Harq, “The storm seems to have knocked us off course.” Skarhys cuts in, “I have map. Right now we should be round here.”

Lia holds her crystal in her hand, and allows it to point her in the direction she needs to go.
What is everyone doing?
Helena is just standing on guard, hoping the ship doesn't get wrecked again.
