“Hi Mister Lor! I’m Cora and this is Zadoris. We arrived with Rhond, yes. He’s a great captain! We want to cross the desert with the camels. Can we see them before we rent? We need enough for si- five and a half people.”

Cora Lor smiles, seeing your energy. “Rhond brought my camels their foods earlier. Would you thank him again for me when you see him?” As he speaks, you start watching his movements carefully. He doesn’t seem to be conning you or hiding anything. You can tell he’s just an old man, and these camels probably mean everything to him. He nods his head and slowly rises up from the stool. He leads you out the hut, passing Ethan, and going around to the camels. “I have a girl that goes with merchants to bring back my babies. She should be back soon. How far did you say your shipments were going? I’m afraid I can’t let them go too far.” When you take a look at the camels, you determine that they seem to be healthy. You have nothing to base your judgement on, however, so you cannot be sure. What will you do?
Zadoris You see and hear the same things Cora does. The only difference is you don’t share her rolls’ results.
Ethan You hear the same things Cora and Zargaroth do. The only difference is you don’t share her results. Do you wish to stay at your position outside the hut or go with them?
Ethan watches as the two companions of his come out of the camel-master's office. He stands at relaxed guard attention, eyes taking in the area around, but not missing the movement of the group towards the camel pens. His chain mail clinking softly, Ethan follows them over, continuing to monitor the area, always on alert and watching for any potential issues. He brushes some of his black hair back from his forehead, thinking he should get it trimmed eventually.
At the camel pen, Ethan looks over the animals. he doesn't know much more about camels than horses, but he believes these look well-tended and should do nicely. As he continues to watch the area, he listens in on the conversation, and has to agree, having these beasts to ride for a good part of the trip would be a great boon, and if they could get a local guide out of the bargain all the better.
Zadoris wonders around the place a bit listening to the others before he joins in. "Well, we are not merchants perse, but we are in need of travel. Having your girl come with us as maybe a guide and to return the camels works perfect for us." He turns to Cora and says, "I think we came to the right place."
Eira nods at Zargaroth and follows him to Rhond, humming a random tune before suddenly asking him a question. "Hmm, hmm, hmmmm... have you ever been to the desert before?"
"Well, lets say I never traveled a desert before, but I know stories and a know how it feels to be denied food and water for an extended period of time."
Cora Lor smiles a quite toothy smile. “They’re very well-trained. And very healthy. I try to take great care of them.”
Eira/Zargaroth As you talk on your way to Rhond’s ship, he sees you and gives you both a wave. “We should be heading out soon. Our itinerary says we need to go south, to some town called Tarnos. Is there anything I can help you with?”
Eira's eyes widen at Zagaroth's statement. She looks down to the ground a bit sad. "Oh... I'm sorry... Didn't mean to bring up bad memories..."
As they approach Rhond, however, Eira smiles again, though slightly less big. "Hello, Captain! We were just wondering if you had any supplies you could spare for our journey through the desert. We took a quick trip around the town but it doesn't seem like there are places that could help us."
Ethan Malyra quietly approaches you. When she gets close enough, she stops and turns towards the camels. “Why are you out here instead of in there?”
Cora/Zadoris Lor nods his head. “The girl should be here any moment now. I sent her off a couple of hours ago. Five camels, you said?”
Eira/Zargaroth Rhond looks a bit uneasy. “We’re kind of about to leave. I’m on a bit of a tight schedule, but...sure, I can spare a minute or two. What do you guys need?”
Eira clasps her hands together thankfully. "Oh! Thank you very much, Captain."She turns to Zargaroth, trying to remember what he told her. "Hm, we need a few extra waterskins to hold water, of course! Ummmm, some rations so we dont run out of food... ummm. Is there anything else?"
“Hmm.. actually, we’ll need six. I’m tiny but I still have gear to carry. I should learn that spell that shrinks people, so I can shrink myself really small and ride on people’s shoulders- like this!” Cora giggles as she casts Minor Illusion, making a MiniCora (tm) appear on Zadoris’ shoulder. She laughs and waves to Lor and regular size Cora before popping out of existence as the illusion fades.
"They have it under control." Ethan says with a nod towards those doing the negotiations. "I am out here to keep an eye out for any possible issues that might be coming up." He glances around. "That guy with the strange item you were using earlier is around here somewhere, and who knows what else might be around that could cause problems. As long as they have the camel issue under control, I see no cause not to be out here keeping an eye out for other things."
Eira/Zargaroth Rhond searches the crates behind him, some of which have not yet been carried to the ship. After a moment, he turns back to you two with a box in his hands. It contains 5 waterskins and 6 rations. “That will be..” He quickly counts up the numbers in his head, “3 gold pieces for the food and 1 gold for the waterskins.”
Ethan While chatting with Malyra, you see a group of camels wandering towards the village, about 40ft away. There is a woman on the back of one of the camels, but she’s slumped over.
"Stay here." He tells the Lady, and starts at a quick walk towards the camels. "Are you ok?" He calls towards the rider as he approaches, concerned for their safety and well-being.
Ethan As you approach the woman on the camel, you call out. She does not respond. When you are about 15ft away, you notice that there are red spots and splotches all over the camels. A moment and 5ft later, you see that the front side of the woman’s clothes are completely red. She is leaning against the hump of the camel she’s on. She is not moving.
I assume you would call out loud enough for her to hear you, which means Cora, Zadoris, and Lor also heard.
Ethan holds his position, standing at guard-rest and watching the area around him.

Zargaroth ruffles Maras head.
"You don' t even need food, and you know it."
(He feeds her a few pieces of dryed meat anyways)
"Eira, It seems like there are no shops in this village, maybe we can find some one who has a few spare waterskin to sell. Maybe we should ask Rhond."
Zadoris wonders around the place a bit listening to the others before he joins in. "Well, we are not merchants perse, but we are in need of travel. Cora will ask one more question: "How well trained are they? Does it take much to handle them?"
Eira nods at Zargaroth and follows him to Rhond, humming a random tune before suddenly asking him a question. "Hmm, hmm, hmmmm... have you ever been to the desert before?"
Zargaroths expression grows absent for a moment.

Ethan rushes to the woman's side and, laying a hand on her, gives her a lay-on-hands healing of 1 hp.
(Assuming she is awake after that...)
"What happened?" He asks, glancing up from her as he looks around to see if anyone is chasing her.
