Tarak stands back up and into the melee. His dagger slashes twice at the creature, while Abigail brings her massive blade down. The creature parries out of the way, but she quickly finds some resiliance. The blade quickly coming back around and cutting through the creature. It's lights fade as it seems to exhale and dissolve in the air. Again no corpse left behind. But, it's long blade falls to the ground. Beginning to destabilize. (It will vanish in 3 rounds. Picking it up will automatically attune it to you)
Morgan uses the opportunity to step away; no longer threatened by the Star's reach. They cut deep into the Wood (21)... it releasing a loud and painful yell as it's clearly on it's last legs..even if their necrotic abilities don't seem to be quite as powerful. Lafetha steps up behind Morgan, a healing push beginning to recover their wounds (+20). But, the Wood creature reaches out. The first attempt being blocked by their shield while the second comes around; draining some of their life force (14 necrotic)
Round 4 (Begin)
Morgan and the Wood are engaged in melee. Lafetha is behind Morgan, while Abigail and Tarak are within 12ish feet.
Morgan's second blow lands true. The creature seeming to crack and... falls. Unlike the other, it doesn't dissolve. Two steps forward before the light inside of it fades and the floating bits of wood crumble and collapse into a heap.
The blade still shimmers and vibrates; as it gets closer to vanishing to... where-ever.
Again, the voice rings out in people's heads.
What joyous fun, O' Seeker Mine. Take a reward for such a entertaining delight for us.
From the shadows, one of those blue long eared things pops out and tosses down two keys, identical to the three on the key ring.. Before zipping off nearly as quick as it came.
In the distance, there are still the sounds of a fire; and of something muttering off in a bit of a different direction.
Abigail reaches down and picks up the keys, adding them to a different part of her backpack than the box and initial keys.
"Thanks... I guess. Glad we were entertaining." She says in the direction of where the blue long-eared thing vanished off to.
Unless someone else does before it vanishes, Abigail will also pick up the dagger.
She then plops down on the ground and takes some swigs from her water skin. Looking around the group, Abigail notes, "We are in no condition to go up against too many more of those things, but we also need to keep moving. We will feel like right gits if we stopped now and there happened to be nothing else out there except little blue mojo elves. I suggest I scout out ahead, if there are other threats out there, then I would suggest we wait until we have bandaged up, taken a breath, and feel more capable to face off against otherworldly threats. Thoughts?"
arcana18 to see if she can provide any information to the group about the sword.
To Abigail: "I'm okay with that if you are. We will defiantly need a rest, that's for sure. I say we head down the path with the muttering before all of the sounds of fire."

The blade is definitely designed after a longs sword. And will vanish in about 10 seconds...
The tree falls the wisps of the curse Morgan placed on them smolder off of the corpse. Morgan Breathes in some of the plumes of smoke (heals 9). Then Morgan takes the blade. "Oh snap, I forgot I'm supposed to stop picking things up."
Morgan feels the blade vibrate and ressonate with their mind for the briefest moment.
Ghostblade +1 Longsword Once per long rest, you may add +2d10 force damage to a successful hit If you ever unattune from this item, it disappears forever
Abigail, you eventually hear a small 'clink' from the pocket you put the two new keys. Reaching in, you notice the two keys you were keeping separate have attached to the keyring with the othres.
((You can take a short rest and roll 'n spend your hit dice accordingly))
After about 20ish minutes of recovery; you hear another round of molten glass beads fall from the sky and impact around you. The destruction from the impact still not yet done...
The roaring sound of firehasn't moved at all. But, the mutteringseems to have moved closer to where you all began.
Once everyone is rested Tarak suggests they deal with the muttering before they move on to the fiery area as they don’t want to get caught between two enemies.
((Please finish posting whatever short rest hit dice healing, or attuning, or anything similar)) ((I'm going to be auto'ing Morgan for a little bit until, or until I hear otherwise on some info))
Finishing their short rest, the crew decides to investigate the muttering sounds. Morgan, not wanting to get caught again in a bad situation, becomes covered in a icy armor.
The crew finds themselves retracing their steps, the dust in the air still seeming to hang. But it isn't before too long that they find a tall, slender shadow. Maybe standing just shy of seven feet tall with a lithe build. It's clear to all that it knows you're there. How it stopped talking and it's posture changed; as if looking over it's own shoulder to see your approaching shadows and sounds through the storm.
It speaks; a stern but feminine voice carried out on the wind. To Abigail and Morgan's surprise; it is not sylvan - but elven. Although a dialect that's a bit weird. Some of the words and conjugations not quite correct, but easy enough to figure out. Tarak again finds himself not knowing exactly what is being said; but Morgan does offer to translate the gist of what's being said.
In Elven
If you're friend, then tell me your names. If you're here for power, I am not what you seek. And if you're here for violence, tell me your title so I may erase it from the lips of your family.
Tarak looks at the person who is speaking after having the words translated he says “I will be honest. While we have had to defend ourselves we are not here with the intent of hurting anyone. Nor do we seek power. I am here in the service of the faith.”
In Elven, Lafetha tell her her name, and let's let know that they are not there for violence or power. "We are just trying to find the starfall. Who are you?"
The figure turns a bit more. Taking it's time to peer out into the dust and over at the four of them. She seems to ignore Tarak, not answering his questions.
"Lafetha...." there's a long pause after the name. "I am simply a stranger. Seeking a place to call my own."
Tarak
She's difficult to read.
Lafetha
You think she's honest. But you also think giving her your name may not have been a good idea.

“Well ok then. I’m starting to take this whole being ignored thing personally.”
Tarak turns away inspecting the area. Looking for any signs to indicate how things crashed down and where the starfall is most likely to be.

"Seeking a place to call your own, huh? What do you mean by that? Were you a part of the starfall? do you need help?"
