Gold feels rested after an hour or so (OOC: can I assume a short rest now? Also what time is it now?) and goes back to the others.  "So should we spend the night here and then search for Dain Ironheart in the morning or do you think we have time to go out now?"

"I was hoping to stay somewhere else for the night..."  Lia says, thinking of the more up-scale inn she had planned on going to after the Academy.  

Krusk says, “Where?”

"Lia, that would probably be a good idea. I think that it would do us well to be near enough to the dome to be able to investigate it, but far enough that we aren't right next to it if something happens," Hallanann says.

"Well I was thinking The Exalted Dragon..."  Lia said with a shrug.  "A decent enough place to stay for the city."

Gold let's those who have been here before make the choice "Sounds good to me.  So we go find the Exalted Dragon and then look for Dain Ironheart in the morning?"

"If this place you say has locks on the room then I'm all for it.  I dont trust these city folk...not yet atleast." He says to the others.

It's about 2:00 in the afternoon now.  You have had a short rest.

You are in Hydra’s District on the north side of the city.  A short walk to the east is Exalted Dragon Tavern and Inn which is in the Demon’s Village. Dain Ironheat’s shrine is located in the south end in the Arcanist’s District which is about an hour’s walk.

Gold looks at the time and reconsiders.  "I feel we actually have time to check in at the Exalted Dragon and still find Dian Ironheart's shrine.  Shall we be off?"

"Sounds good to me." Chikra finishes her ale.

It's a pleasantly uneventful walk to the Exalted Dragon.  Your path south along the east side of town takes you past mostly houses and apartments.  This is a nicer section of town than the west side.  You smell baking bread and other niceties as you walk along.

The Exalted Dragon is located on Hell-hound's Arcade, southeast of a major crossroads. The street outside is filled with the scent of burning wood.  The inn is a two-story timber and brick building, with vaulted ceilings. Accommodations consist of several small rooms with beds and woolen mattresses. An attached three-story tower suite is reserved for noble patrons.

When you enter, you hear a tall female halfing saying "Now where did I put my ink.  It should be right here..." She looks up and sees you. "Oh hello, I'm Bellia Diggle.  I do hope you are joining us for the evening.  It's 1 gold piece each for the night.  Dinner will be served at 6."

There is a dinner menu on the reception desk:

1. Stewed Chicken and Walnut Bread, Tankard of Stout (12 cp)
2. Baked Chicken and Chestnut Bread, Glass of Rum (4 sp)
3. Boiled Sausage and Millet Bread, Tankard of Bitter (8 cp)
4. Smoked Hare and Parsnip, Tankard of Mead (9 cp)
5. Boiled Chicken and Whey Cheese, Tankard of Mead (12 cp)

(It's now about 3:00.  The weather is getting a little cooler, but it has stopped snowing, and the sky is clear.)

Gold pulls out his gold piece and hands it over.  After looking at the menu he decides the Boiled sausage and millet bread are plenty "I'll take item number 3 for dinner tonight.  We have a short errand to run and should be back in time.  Here is payment for the meal."  He hands over another 8 cp.

Krusk does the same as Gold does

Hallanann says, "Bellia, so good to meet you. Here's the gold for a room. And, here's 12 copper for a meal. I'll get the Boiled Chicken and Whey Cheese with a Tankard of Mead. Thank you." He hands over the money.

Then Hallanann looks around at the rest of the members of his party in anticipation to see what they do.

"I'll take the first menu option," Chikra says, handing over the requisite coin for food and lodgings.

"You can mark me down for the Baked Chicken and Chestnut Bread, Glass of Rum."  Lia says as she pays for the food and lodging.  "Also, do you have anything for a nicer room?  I would rather stay in a suite if you have one..."

"We have the finest suite in all of the Bridged City here at The Exalted Dragon," Bellia says. "Nobals from all over Ghelspad have stayed here.  The use of the suite is 10 gold pieces for the night.  Let's see, there's 6 of you... That's 1 gold piece and 7 silver each. It really is quite a marvelous experience. I highly recommend it."

"No, just for me."  Lia says with a shake of her head.  She hands over the ten gold pieces instead of the single one.  "We have some business to attend to, then will return for dinner."

Gold watches Lia hand over 10 GP for a palace for herself.  "Wow, you planning on becoming a Queen someday?  That is royal treatment for yourself!"

"I like to take care of myself when I am able to do so."  Lia says with a smile.  "Also, can you have someone get a bath ready for me for after dinner?"  She asks the inkeep as she prepares to head out with the group again.
