"Ah well, thanks man. Sorry again bout' -- oh, she's down now."Zashier said, assuming the grunt to be something polite judging by the trolls last expression before the fall. He then turned away, anger finally beginning to bubble to the surface following the last remark. Yet remembering the stunt the troll pulled last, and frankly not remembering or knowing what else trolls could do, he siddles to the side and waves whoever behind him on. "After him, friends, and make sure to take him alive! I'll catch up!" He pats Yokini on the back and a few feet onward, granting her a similar boon as he'd done to Lem. "Hop to it!"
While others raced off, his sister hopefully included, Zashier back to glare down at the Troll, considering the best ways to behead it...
As soon as she sees Lem, Yokini exclaims, "Lemmy! Here you are!" Then, as the group gives chase, Yokini follows, asking as she runs, "Do you need another healing potion, Zashier?" She huffs. "I've got two small ones and one big one."
Thistle dashes after the half-orc, down the hallway through the door. He turns the corner through a door, and Thistle follows through the North door, and into this new room. I will describe what is in this room down below, but the most important thing to you at this moment is that this room is under where that wall crumbled in, and the half-orc is attempting to climb out. You have enough movement to catch up to him (in melee) or not - your choice. Since you still have an action, up to you how you want to handle it.
Lem, you move across the room, holding your hand up to cast sleep, you see him at the end of the hall, and he banks right, out of your sight, so you hoof-it to catch up with him. You use the rest of your movement, and can make it to the doorway Thistle just went through (North doorway on that hallway).
Yokini, you also take off, following Lem and Thistle. You are on par with Lem, at the doorway. You also are benefiting from Zashier casting Heroism on you as you passed.
Lem and Yokini, you both still have your action. the half-orc is about 25-30 feet from you where you stand in the doorway.
Thistle, you get to take the first action of the "chasers" to finish out the second half of this round.
Zashier, you and Yashiera are still in the room with the granite sword emblem on the ground. In front of you on the floor is the troll. Yashiera sees you contemplating something. She stays behind to see what you plan on doing with this troll.
Zashier and Yashiera still have their movement, and Yashiera still has her action.
Which is fortunate, because as you are standing there, looking at the troll - who you think to be dead - it moves. Gives a grunt, and slowly stands up. Acid burns on its arms close up, seemingly healing themselves. The troll stands up, towering in front of you, and shakes its head as if it is still waking up.
And Yashiera takes the momentary lapse, and acts. She swings twice with her morningstar ( 1516 ) both of them connecting with the staggering troll, who just got back its consciousness. The ball of the morningstar punctures the troll for 13 damage.
The troll staggers, then falls flat on the ground again.
Thistle, the half-orc sees you catching up to him. What you do with your action will determine what he does with his.
Thistle, your action will trigger first, then the half-orcs, then Lem/Yokini.
Zashier and Yashiera will pick back up in the next round (unless Zashier wants to move to catch up with the others, and in that case Yashiera will follow)
Thistle, what are you going to do?
The new room you are in.
This once-grand flagstone hall is filled with statues of different celestial creatures in every corner. An old fire pit in the center of the room is bordered on all sides by moth-eaten bedrolls, while shovels, picks, and other digging equipment lie strewn about a shallow tunnel bored into the northeastern wall. The ceiling above the tunnel has collapsed, leaving a hole open to the sky above a pile of burnt rubble. Part of a dead body (half-orc) is exposed in the rubble.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As per the norm, without a word out of Yashiera to break his focus, he offered little in the way of insight into his intentions. There were too many variables about troll and extent of its 'strange immortality magic'. If he could just --
"Uh-...!" Is about as much he can get before watching his Sis brain the troll back into oblivion. "Good looking out sis, as per Uzzsh. Now if you don't mind. I think I'll be taking this one's head. If you wouldn't happen to have any oil or fire on hand for the rest of it, I believe aughta give the rest a firey send off, assuming they're not immune to the stuff."Having said as much, Zashier carefully takes a few practice swings before trying to behead the troll in one good swoop.
It's only after the attempt he mentions the jug of alchemist fire in his pack. "A bit of extreme measure, I know, but as you can see, this is one rather extreme situation we have ourselves here."
(@DM: Assuming an attack roll still needs to be made)
Thistle catches up the half orc, running wildly, and swings her saber, opening up a gash in the half-orcs back as he tried to climb. He slides down the embankment, turning to face you, and as he does so you see how bad Zashier's "sneeze" really affected this guy. The acid has eaten away at his arms and face, that were exposed, and you can see it is eating away at this clothing and equipment as well.
He looks at you, and raises his morningstar....and slumps down to the ground. (still alive)
Thistle, you turn behind to see Lem, his arm outstreched, the "sleep" mist dissipating somewhat (almost like a smoking gun)
Zashier, you sever the troll's head, and it is pretty disgusting. Yashiera manages to keep her composure, but its a bloody putrid mess. Yashiera slaps you on the shoulder: "Apparently trolls smell worse on the inside. Who would have thought?"
Thistle takes a step back, holding her arm over her already scarf-covered mouth and nose, just in case the sleep mist is still there, but then drops it and kneels to check on the half orc's condition. Is he dying, or stable?

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Lem walks forward to Thistle, and looks around for any other threats. "Nice hit. That could have gone better. Used to more coordination than this. Don't think we lost anyone though, and we have someone to talk to. Let's search him, strip him, and tie him up. Give me an hour and I'll be able to see what he's thinking. But there might be more down here, so we're not out of the woods yet." Can Lem recall Moon, trying to get a sense of anything odd she's seen?
(Lem means strip him of weapons, but he's not super clear on that front so Thistle might think Lem's odd.)
Yokini stops and looks down at the half-orc. "Think it knows anything? We should tie them up so we can question them." Then, the gnome glances to her side at Lem before slapping the tar out of his shoulder. "Lem Sprak don't you dare do that to me ever again!" she chides the dwarf, her finger flying back and forth in his face. "I about died imaging what you might be getting into all alone with me unable to watch your back! What were you thinking?!" She slaps his shoulder again. "You weren't thinking, that's what you were thinking! You were lucky! Lucky the trap door and the stairs went to the same place!" Her eyes now sparkling, Yokini starts a few more incomplete sentences before breathing heavily and giving Lem's shoulder one last halfhearted slap, which turns into pats and then a squeeze. She sniffs. "I think I have a rope in here," she says, opening her pack and rummaging around in it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lem blinks a few times and his face oscillates between utter confusion, regret, sorrow, and consternation. "I just... Zashier said... go down quick... he seemed to know..."he trails off and walks around in a circle, returning back to where he started. "We're supposed to trust Zashier, right? He knows what to do? I was trusting the paladin. I'm....... I'm sorry, Ini. You're right, I didn't think. I can be so stupid sometimes. I get, well, confused."
(If you need an investigation check for the half-orc or the room... investigation: 12)
For someone holding up a severed Troll head and bearing a sensitive nose, Zashier seems not at all that bothered by the smell. "Though it may be a bit of a stretch, I imagined everything it ate thought the same." He half jokingly answered in kind. As he starts to go for some alchemist fire to get rid of the body and make sure no other shenanigans came about from leaving it be, a glance up reminding him of all the very burnable wood around stops him.
So, he offers the head over to his sister and says, "If you don't mind overly much Sis. Hate to be a bother, but if you could take that and go after the others. I wanna make sure the rest of this here body doesn't pull a sleepy hollow 'n all that. Without burning down the house in the process."
