Swobold deception: 12
Unbeknownst to the group, inside the concealed area in the middle of the room, the 4 kobolds climb their way up to the top. They plan on standing atop the wall, and rain rocks down on the party with their slings…
Standing in the small corridor leading into the next room, Thistle loads an arrow, steps out around the corner, and looses an arrow at one of the tough kobolds, but her arrow goes wide. Though, because of your insightful fighting, you will be able to apply that sneak advantage on your subsequent attacks on that kobold.
Feeling the arrow whiz by, the leather clad kobolds put down a rock they had been moving and pick up small shields and spears that were on the ground. Thistle, you notice that at their feet are several of those medium sized rocks…almost big enough to be called boulders…as well as additional spears.
Thistle, you duck back behind the corner as Lem raises his arm….
Lem lets a mist escape from his metallic appendage. It drifts north into the room. The kobolds at the top of the wall, readying their slings to attack, all fall, taking 3 damage. All 4 of them fall out towards you, landing basically at your feet.
Yokini, you step out after the boulder passes by to shoot a magical arrow at the kobold on the eastern side, but as you do, a spear comes sailing through the air at you. (18 to hit) It catches you in the shoulder for 2 damage as you fire your arrow, but because of how the spear hit your shoulder, you miss your mark.
Raddunth & Zashier, you are doing nothing this round, waiting to see what happens.
You have…4 sleeping kobolds in front of you, you can’t see the ones on the North side of the room but you assume they are still there, and the two swobolds to the East.
Thistle will shoot at her targeted kobold, then will follow Yokini, as that's a good idea, dancing over the sleeping kobolds at her feet. "The kobolds have some sort of small boulder! Watch yourselves!"
Action: Attack with short bow on previous kobold. 25 to hit, for 29 piercing damage. Move: Follow Yokini behind the wall on the left side of the room. Bonus Action: Use Eye for Detail (Inquisitive) to make a Perception check on this backside of the wall area for traps or anything interesting: 17

"Small boulder don't sound all too bad, if I do say so myself, and I do. Which is not as often as one might think I do." With that, Zashier loosely follows Yokini's example. Seeing the sleeping kobolds on the floor in front of him, Raddunth moves forward, spurred on by memories of his captors before he escaped. He brings his handaxes down, killing two of the sleeping kobolds.
Seeing this, one of the eastern kobolds moves a lever then steps on a tile, sending a medium sized boulder flying out of the side of the wall toward Raddunth. Strength save: 21 Raddunth tries to hop over the boulder, but the rock catchs his feet, knocking him to the side, prone, and causing 8 damage.
The boulder continues rolling. It squishes the 2 remaining kobolds into paste.
Yokini, using Raddunth as a human shield, moves out with him, shooting a magical arrow over his shoulder. It hits the closest kobold in the shoulder for 8 damage then disappears into thin air, but he is still standing. He returns fire, throwing his spear at Yokini. The other kobold that launched the boulder picks up a spear and also hurls it at Yokini (because kobolds hate gnomes) (To Hit: 1120). Only one spear hits Yokini for 7 piercing damage. Yokini keeps moving behind the central walls.
While those two kobolds are vulnerable, since they had just thrown spears, Lem and Thistle both pop out from around the corner, one shooting and arrow, the other hurling a magical mote of flame at the eastern kobolds. Thistles arrow pierces the same kobold that Yokini just hit, bringing him to his knees...he gurgles something at you in draconic through blood in his throat, but you cant understand him. He falls to the floor, dead. Lem hits the other kobold, dealing 7 damage. Still standing, still angry at seeing a gnome.
Zashier, (I think I interpreted you correctly) under the cover of the attacks by Lem and Yokini takes off across the room to the West. He passes Yokini, huffing and puffing, rounding the northwestern corner. As he turns the corner he is greeted by the sight of two swole-bolds and the hooded kobold.
Two spears and a bolt of flame come flying through the air at you. 19816. You dodge the flaming bolt, and one spear, but the other spear catches you in one of your large ears for 6 piercing damage.
Lem yells out in draconic for them to surrender in the name of the dragon. One of the kobolds yells back "You know not...what you speak. If you were here..in name of...dragon, we...worship together. Instead...you kill family. Now we kill you."
Raddunth is Prone to the South, Lem you are also to the South. Zashier, you are to the North, Yokini and Thistle are to the West.
One swole-bold remains to the East, and two swole-bolds and one magical hooded kobold to the North.
Thistle moves north, following Zashier, until she can see the robed kobold, she takes a moment to breathe and study it, then she looses an arrow and ducks back behind the corner as quickly as she can.
Move: North 15', take Action, then southeast 5', hugging the wall. Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting vs robed kobold: 19 Insight vs Charisma(Deception) Action: Shoot robed kobold. Zashier continues to barrel forward, risking whatever trap might be in store by taking the incline up to meet the one immediately separating him from the scrawnier one behind the two. As painful as the unexpected piercing was -- and given the tears, it extremely was -- the words of his father sprung to mind, and spurred him onwards in delivering what he hoped to be a devastating first blow.
Or so was the intent before the ground way, sending him tumbling back. Not one to be deterred however, he rolls back onto his feet, and seeing the ledge tries for it next....
But, he can't quite make that either! Feeling just a little frustrated now, he lowers his stance, and more actively hides behind his shield for cover against the next series of blows. The axe having been put away as well as in advance for some alternate planning...

Kobold Deception: 11
Zashier, you cannot be stopped. You keep barreling forward, with a spear dangling from your ear like an oversized earring. You give no thought to possible traps as you take the stairs 2 at a time. Unfortunately, as you hit a stair in the middle, all of the stairs collapse, converting what used to be stairs into a ramp. You tumble down the ramp (Dex save: 6) and are unable to maintain your footing. You take no damage, but you are now prone. I assume you use your remaining movement to stand up.
Zashier: chooses the dodge action.
Raddunth, as you are standing up, the Eastern kobold hurls a spear at you. He is unable to load his trap and fire it without his partner. (To hit: 8). It hits you in the shoulder as you are moving towards him, causing 2 damage, causing your throw to go a little high. He easily ducks to avoid your javelin.
The two Northern Swole-bolds are about to hurl spears at Zashier, when Yokini pops her head around the corner. They immediately throw their spears at her (To Hit: 79) (Yokini, going to give you 3/4 cover, +5 to AC, since you would have seen them turn to attack you and you likely would have tried to move back behind the corner). One of their spears slices your calf as you try to move back behind cover (7 damage). Because of the immediate attention to you as you rounded the corner, you shot your arrow on the move trying to get behind cover, and your magical arrow goes wide of the hooded kobold, disappearing into thin air as it hits the wall.
The hooded kobold also wants to attack at the gnome, but being smarter than the other kobolds, he also recognizes the threat of Zashier. Out of the corner of his eye, he also sees Raddunth. His hands explode into a flaming orb that releases a ray of fire, one at Raddunth (19), one at Zashier (10), and one at Yokini (7) who I will say still has the +5 to AC. Raddunth is surprised by the ray of fire coming at him, and takes 8 Fire damage.
Thistle, seeing them target your new friend Yokini, you move out of cover, and shoot at the hooded kobold, hitting him for 6 damage.
Lem moves up with the rest of the group. After seeing the hooded kobold release such a fiery attack at his friends, he decides to return fire for fire. His firebolt hits, causing 2 damage, then ducks back behind cover.
One kobold to the East (wounded), Two swole-bolds and a hooded, magical kobold (wounded) to the North.
Raddunth, you are to the east. Zashier, you are standing at the foot of a ramp (you can move up it, but it will cost you more movement - 2 foot for every one foot of movement). Thistle, Lem, and Yokini, you are all behind cover right now, to the West.
OOC - sorry for the "potentially manipulated dice rolls" message. Not sure what I did to cause that, but it then messed up some attack rolls, so I had to edit them back to their results. Sorry.
"Enough of this," Thistle says, seeing Yokini's many wounds. She drops her bow and puts her buckler shield on. "Stay behind cover," she tells her companions. Drawing her saber, she steps out into the open, moving up to Zashier. "I've a little gnome in me," she announces to the kobolds, waving her arms. "I hear you don't like us!"
Free action: dropping bow on the ground and drawing sword Action: Putting shield on Move: Out into the open and to the side of Zashier, ready to climb the ramp next turn Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting on one of the beefy kobolds facing Zashier, 26 vs its Deception(Charisma).

Zashier fierce look at the kobold ahead of him immediately turns to confusion after whipping his gaze towards Thistle. "Huh...How did... Huh, you learn something new every day, if you can believe it, which makes certain things less awkward in hindsight." He said casually, nodding at lightly, and then suddenly snapping back into determined state as he carefully marched his way up.
Thinking in advance this time, Zashier takes out his heavy bladed spear to start delivering the most deadly of pokes at the one immediately impending his progress towards the scrawnier kobold behind a swolbold.
Lem would have stayed out in front of Yokini instead of ducking back behind -- he doesn't like seeing her get hurt! He also doesn't like how this battle is going so he changes his hands to a different configuration to cast a more powerful spell.
He holds his good hand up and three glowing darts form and then lance out at the kobolds, one apiece (magic missile) for 2 force damage to one, 2 to the second, and 4 to the third.
Raddunth is almost able to reach the top of the ramp. Good thing the swo-bold is standing right there. (Raddunth is at the spot NW of that eastern kobold.) Time for some hand axe action.
