As the door swings open, from your vantage point, you see an open room in front of you, carved from stone. You cant see the whole room to your left and right, just right in front of you, and it is open, 60 feet across, to stone stairs coming down to the same room.
Until you enter the room, you wont be able to see anything else.

While Yokini is impatient and hurries forward to look for her family members, she only goes as far as the edge of the opening (far enough to see the whole room), and attempts to be stealthy while doing it.

Lem casts minor illusion to make the image of what the door would look like pop into place facing out. Stealth: 17"Lasts for a minute..."
He sends Moon into the room, walking along the ground, and looks and listens through the raven's eyes. Perception: 20 The bird is ready to take flight slowly if it seems that would be unnoticed. He gives a running commentary of what he sees, sotto voce.
Thistle manages to open the door, and lock the rod in place to hold the door open without being noticed. (Whoever is last out of the door can push the button to release the rod if you want.)
You are all still back in the dark tunnel, unable to see much of the room except for what is in front of you, just open space with some columns on either side.
Yokini moves up to the doorway, but stops there to take in the room. Seeing her move up, Lem focuses his arcane arm to create an illusion of the door, but it is faint to Yokini who knows it is an illusion. Lem also sends Moon into the room, walking along the ground, and he narrates what Moon sees in a soft voice.
Spread out before you is a giant subterranean room. It is 90 feet long by 60 feet wide, and has 60 foot ceilings - all of those surfaces roughly carved from stone. It is a massive undertaking to carve such a room, and Lem is impressed by the workmanship - it may have even been done by some Dwarves.
It is so cold down here, everyone’s breath is turning to mist in the tunnel as you wait in anticipation for what is in this room.
Moon continues to move quietly into the room, candles flickering around the exterior, shedding just enough light to create a spooky mood in the room.
To the left, you see several purple robed humans, their cloaks up over their heads, and one is the clear leader with a strange mask on their face. As Moon moves in a bit closer, in the shadow of one of the columns, you see through her eyes an older gnome woman spread out on a table in the middle of the cluster of cloaked humans, and another female gnome, younger, chained to a table on the side of the room. Both gnomes are breathing, but do not seem lucid.
Two tables are along the left side of the room, with a bookcase in the middle with different experimental tools and potions, as well as humanoid and dragon-scaled body parts in jars along a few of the shelves.
Moon moves to the right, and as Lem sees through her eyes he stops narrating quite suddenly, mid-sentence. He telepathically tells Moon to freeze (ironic since it is so cold in here). Slowly Lem finds his voice again. On the right side of the room, there is a white dragon, not full grown, resting in the corner of what looks to be a large open area where most of the ground has been frozen. Its eyes are closed, and as it breathes in and out, frigid air escapes its nose, constantly adding to the chill in the room.
Lem calls Moon back to him, and as she turns, he catches glimpse of a sparkle.
He sends Moon just a bit closer, around one of the columns, and the sparkle turns into a golden hue…in the corner of the room, gold, silver, jewels, chests, trunks, and more lie frozen in a solid chunk of ice, glittering and sparkling in the light of the candles around it.

Zashier brings up the rear. Even if it was unlikely, the off chance of enemies somehow sneaking around left him just paranoid enough to keep an eye on things. Seeing some at least look ready to creep ahead, Zashier swapped out his axe for the Yklwa, and would try at least to follow the other's example. But as/when they're are pressing forward, he whispers to Onzeepzeg, "So, I know you're on the fence with things. But, if I were to untie you, would you at least help us deal with the unappreciative man?"He asked the kobold sorcerer. "If nothing else, this would be a step in the right direction for you and yours, if you think about it." He offers.
Sorry forgot to mention one other thing. Moon did see a chain coming from the dragon's back right leg to the east wall, but cannot tell how long the chain actually is.
Can we hear what they are chanting? Any other noises?
Lem squints and blinks and few times, coming back into himself. He finishes whispering the description of what Moon saw in the room and then pauses. "We could try to free the dragon. I can make someone invisible to go sneak over and try to break that chain. No guarantee the dragon will be grateful, of course, and there are two gnomes we want to protect. But it's possible that it will fight the people in there. Which would help. Been a long day already, and there are six enemies in there. Seven if the dragon doesn't like us."
He sighs, gives Moon some scritches with his good hand, and then fidgets with the buckles on his metal arm. He looks up, realizing they don't have much time before the illusion needs to be recast, possibly giving them away, so he charges on, mouth quietly firing at a fast clip, but not making eye contact with anyone.
"Another option is for me to raise up that fog cloud again (OOC centered on baddie number 2), confuse them, and let us get to the gnomes before they try anything hostage-y. Or put some of them to sleep. Both of those options are not mutually exclusive. But the invisibility would drop once the fog cloud went up. Also that would be most of my arcane power for the day. (OOC: both spells are concentration, and Lem would have one spell slot left afterward.) But we could have someone sneak in, free the dragon, tell it we mean it no harm and to spare the gnomes if possible, and then once they're in cover, the fog cloud goes up and we try to rescue and take down the bad people. That's not a very good idea. Anyone have better ideas?"
Yokini whips her head around at Lem. "We can't release the dragon!" she whispers emphatically. "My mother and sister are in there! And only half awake to boot! It would eat them like a snack!"
Thistle listens carefully. "Our purpose here is to save the gnomes," she says. "Taking down the humans is next, and third is dealing with the dragon. If we don't have to free it, yet," she glances towards the kobold, "Then we shouldn't. That human will be as afraid of it as we are." She turns to Lem, "The fog cloud is as bad for us as for them... what about that sleep gas you made earlier? Any more of that?"

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
“It will work - the smaller, weaker ones will succumb first, followed by the next weakest - how many I can get depends on how well I aim, how much of my reserves I devote to it, and how energetic they are feeling to begin with. Should I start things off with that? Maybe at the exact same time the rest of you let loose with arrows, bolts, and javelins, aiming for the leader? Before they notice us.”
"Sounds to me it'd be pretty difficult given the narrowness of the hall for such an all out surprise attack. That's of course assuming we get as close. So, best keep it simple with try'na to do that, uh, nap time magic of yours, and maybe Miss Thistle for sure getting off a shot, being all light footed as she seems to be for sure. And, you know, going from there." Zashier comments on. "Either way, I'll be leaving it to you, as I'll be somewhat bring up the rear for this one. Now if we're done discussing this, we best get a move on, or so I figured, for this ritual of there's completes."

"Let's go then," Thistle says, getting her bow out. She pauses a moment with her eyes closed, gathering herself, then she will approach the illusion door, and attempt to slip out into the room quickly and quietly, moving to her left to hide behind the pillar and wait for Lem to act.
Move: 1 space north into the room, two spaces west behind the pillar. (The map is awesome but has no coordinates...) Action: Hide behind the pillar, moving stealthily, using her Inspiration. Stealth: 20 Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting vs the leader with the mask on his face. Insight roll: 23 vs his Deception (Charisma).
Notes: with her bow out, her AC is just 16, as no shield.

Thistle moves into the room, not making a sound, and posts up behind one of the pillars, out of sight of both the cultists and the dragon - her bow at the ready.
Cult Leader Deception, which I will roll at a disadvantage since he is not aware you are there or actively trying to deceive you: 14

Lem looks at everyone, raises his good hand and counts down from five fingers to none, slowly, trying to allow everyone to ready their actions for when Lem casts his sleep spell.
He then casts sleep centered at C6, as second level, for 33 worth of hp.

Done. Door is open and set.
You can hear chanting clearer now that the door is open, coming from the left.
The unknown awaits.
Does it seem like our opening of the door went unnoticed, or at least the chanting has not been interrupted? Was it a loud opening of the door?
