Meanwhile, in the Westwoods...

 Elwin had barely hit the ground before Del's Healing Word brought him back to consciousness.  ( 5 )

His eyes shot open upon having his health restored. Elwin quickly begun getting to his feet as he tried to regain his bearings.

(( Note, he's only beginning to get to his feet; he'll still be prone until his next turn, although if the monster continues to flee it looks like combat may already be over. ))

The terrified troll disappears into the underbrush from whence it came.  Raven's sword stops giving its alarm, though from time to time it gives a little hoot of warning, as if something might still be lurking near.

Elwin is in bad shape, and so is his horse, and the rest of your horses can't be seen.  And the wind is still picking up.

Mindartis takes a swipe at it as it runs away. "We need to find our horses before this gets worse. It's not going to stop any time soon."

Not sure we are making it to court today. Can Henry scout for our horses? Del starts plucking a rustic melody and  Goodberries  start dropping into his hand, which he hands to Elwin as they appear - there are 30, split between E and Oroman as you want.

Thanking Del, Elwin started feeding Oroman (he'll eat 8 of the berries.)

"That was terrible," he began, obviously irritated. "I can't believe we got ambushed like that. No, no... that was totally unacceptable." He seemed deep in thought as he looked down at the remaining berries, before quickly eating them.

"I'm supposed to be a knight now," he mumbled as he wiped the back of his hand across his mouth.

"Think we need to first find the horses, before they become food for that thing, or its friends." Raven says as she glances around.  "I think I should head out and see if I can find them." She glances to the others, not wishing to just up and run off without consulting them first.  "I can travel unseen better than any of you, and should have an easier time of not being seen if I am on my own." She put sin to add weight to her idea.

Elwin raised an eyebrow. "Obviously, I'm not going to tell you 'no,' but if that creature can take one of us down in seconds, and live to run off, I think that might not be the best idea."

 He shook his head, having seen Raven's sense of determination. "That said, if you decide to go anyway, take Oroman... at least that way if you do run across something, you'll have a better chance of escape." He looked at the horse, petting it before quietly adding, "In a pinch, you could always ditch him as bait. If necessary."

"Do be careful," Mindartis says. "That wind isn't stopping anytime soon. I'm not sure how far they could have gotten in this wind. Try and get them into the dungeon if you can. I can go with you, 4 eyes will be better than two when it comes to tracking animal tracks."

"Taking the horse would make me the biggest target in the area."  Raven says with a amused grunt.  "The idea is that I won't even be seen by whatever else might be out there, if i have to run, then I am already in trouble."  Raven very rarely would be actually walking next to you guys, so you know, if you go as a group to find the horses, she will do her customary thing of scouting ahead, and will be off in the woods a distance from you by herself anyway.

“I’d like to point out that Del can make individuals invisible. Which makes them literally unseen which is better than just being sneaky.” Quentin points out a he snaps Henry into existence. “Having not to sneak because you naturally belong here is even better.” He adds before sending his owl airborn to attempt and find the horses.

Del is ready to ask plants and critters where the horses went if it isn't obvious, and gets a  detailed weather report

It takes everything he has, but he manages to get up high enough to find where the horses have gone to and come back safely to huddle on Quentin's shoulder.  They are only about a quarter mile away.  Their herd instinct has kept them together, and their training as horses from the royal guard kept them from continuing to run once they had calmed down.

Del's attempt to read the weather through Druidcraft tells him that the worst of the windstorm will come in about an hour, and it should start calming down after that.  By evening it should be much less violent, though it will stay windy.  Sometime during the early next morning it will start to rain.

"They're all a quarter mile that way." Quentin informs the group pointing out the way before softly petting Henry. 

"Let's get moving then," Mindartis says, keeping an eye on where the monster ran away. "Don't want to leave them there."

Raven mvoes out in front, about 60 feet ahead of the others, and goe sinto stealth mode.

Elwin remounts, and heads out behind the others, taking the rear guard. (He has switched his glaive for a spear, and donned his shield as well.)

After a short trek through the windy forest, you are reunited with your miserable-looking mounts, huddling together in the shelter of a large tree. Caizana and Rose look in rough shape.  All of them seem relieved to see you.

Mindartis approaches Caizana and strokes her gently. "It's alright girl, we're all okay. You're going to be okay."

She pushes her head up against Mindartis's chest and rubs it against him affectionately.
