"Yes, maybe they have found something. Otherwise, I would like to look at that book that was found with the cultist stuff again. Maybe it needs additional study and there will be a clue to all this," he says while also heading towards the light house.
The books inside of the cabinets don't seem to share a pattern. They detail histories and customs of many places along the Sword Coast.
You don't know much of Tyr. You may have heard the name once or twice.
OOC: Added "East Tower Journal" to your inventory.
OOC: I like Ola's creativity, but I don't want to lessen the value of a rogue or thieves' tools for a situation like this, so flavor items aren't going to work on a lock.
After a few minutes of waiting, Sylyra and Uragum join Arnald and Ola in the lighthouse.
OOC: For the new arrivals, the lighthouse is eighty feet tall with at least three stories; in ascending order, a common room, sleeping quarters with five beds, and sleeping quarters with one bed. A locked door prevents access to the next floor.
Also, not sure if you can see the OOC text in blue or not, but on my screen it doesn't seem to be staying blue.
Seeing nothing interesting in the cabinets, Zelra kneels in front of the scale to examine it closer. (You described it as "odd looking" before, how so? Is there anything currently on it? If not, does there look like there has been anything on it recently?)
If there's nothing interesting with the scale that she can see, she'll reach out and give it a couple twists and turns ("Maybe it unlocks a secret entrance?") before picking it up and examining the bottom. If nothing happens then, she'll leave the shrine, leaving the entrance wide open, before heading to the warehouses.
(Whoop, sorry. Zelra's gotta take a little longer than the others haha)
If I shrank down to a lizard, could I squirm under the door? Or perhaps there are windows, and I can climb outside, up the wall, and then back in through a higher window?
OOC: I more hoped on Arnald's Dexterity and possibility to pick the lock at disadvantage. But if no, then no.
When others arriver, Ola filled them in on what little Arnald and she found here - the post is completely abandoned for several days without any signs of a struggle - people just left. The last door to the beacon itself is locked but Arnald and Sly checked it up and there is no one one the other side either.
There's nothing too interesting about the scale, its design is peculiar, but it doesn't react as you twist and turn it. With the tower inspected, you weave your way through the crammed furniture and out of the door, leaving it wide open.
The warehouses have large openings that display their trappings to an outside view. One appears to be entirely empty, while the other is full of lumber and stones.
For Sylyra:
OOC: A lizard would be a bit too big to squeeze underneath the door, but if you have a way to climb the lighthouse, you could certainly see if there's a way in that way.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zelra Perception: 8
The empty warehouse is just that - an empty floor, ceiling, and all four corners. Judging by the earth, mold, and dust, it doesn't seem like it has seen use in quite some time.
(Assuming) After a short conversation is had where Arnold or Ola explain to the newcomers that Sly helped them see a balcony on the other side of the door, Sylyra says to no one in particular, "I can climb up the outside and enter through the balcony."
I will go outside at the first opportunity (window or the front door) and wild shape into a lizard. I'll then climb up the outside of the lighthouse looking for the balcony. Once I'm in, before changing back into an elf, I will try to analyze the situation: 1. Can the door be opened immediately? For instance, is there a key sticking out of the lock on the locked side? Or can I tell that the door can be opened from the inside without a key? If I can't tell for sure, I will look around for a key. 2. Is there a door or trapdoor or something at the top of the ladder? If so, I will go back outside and climb up further to see if there is outside access to whatever is higher.

Sylyra's form shrinks down to that of a small lizard making its way up the stone walls of the lighthouse.
For Sylyra:
The balcony is not closed off, allowing you to clamber inside. The balcony wraps around the outside of the lighthouse, providing an excellent view of the rest of Thorn Island and the town of Phlan. There is no trapdoor blocking access above the ladder. The room above is dark, but you can see the ceiling with your darkvision.
The locked door has no key in it, and also seems locked from this direction, as there is no unlocking mechanism in sight.
For Zelra:
Perception: 19
This warehouse is much more crowded, but as you walk around it, you find nothing besides the building materials seen from outside.
While Sylyra continues his exploration of the upper floor, the door to the lighthouse opens once more. Zelra ascends the spiraling staircase, past the common room and sleeping quarters, joining the others waiting for their companion's findings.
For Sylyra:
The topmost room of the lighthouse is much smaller than the others, with just enough space for a human-sized creature to walk around the circular path, at the center of which is the lighthouse's beacon.
A beautiful device, made of crystal and brass, its complex machinery bears the marks of an arcane nature, as it has no place for simple fire to ignite it. It is currently inactive and dark.
"Woah. Sorry, was I late to the party?" Zelra chuckles to herself as she looks around. "So, uh, what are we doing? Just standing around in front of a door?"
"We have no means tot open it,"explained Ola the obvious. "Right now Sylyra is trying to do it from the other side. You are welcome to test your skills from that one."
"There is no one in that room, in teh whole light-house in fact. As if people just disappeared suddenly. I don't suppose you met Black Guards in the Easter Tower, do you?"
Sylyra pauses, climbs out of the hole once again, says, "Perhaps one of the others has found something," and then heads for the lighthouse.
"Yes, maybe they have found something. Otherwise, I would like to look at that book that was found with the cultist stuff again. Maybe it needs additional study and there will be a clue to all this," he says while also heading towards the light house.

Zelra makes an unimpressed face as she leaves to check the other warehouse. "Boo. How boring."
If there's nothing in the second warehouse, she'll make an even more unimpressed face before heading to the lighthouse to meet up with the others.

What is in the room? Is there anything that might help open the door from this side?
OOC: This balcony room is empty. Sylyra hasn't moved up the ladder yet, so let me know if he wants to do that, I don't want to assume.

If there's nothing in the balcony room, then, yes, lizard-Sylyra climbs up the ladder.

Do the marks mean anything to lizard-Sylyra?
