I'm sure Uragum, with Olga's help will try to find the correct way to get the body up. "Maybe, I drop my my pack up there first and come back down. You can then tie him to my back and ill climb up. Wait... is the ladder sturdy enough for the weight.?" Uragum continues to just rattle off word and doing all sorts of unnecessary checks to slightly delay strapping a dead body that had previously been alive to him.
"Yes, the ladder." Ola would have to secure the ladder by the wall - even half a distance up would be helpful. "You can just drop two ropes from above, I'll fix it here and then you pull the body up."
When a caravan of dirty (in every meaning of the word) guards arrived, led by Zelra and carrying their sacks of treasure, she only shook her head and casually remarked that this treasure - they abandoned their post for and got Igan Sokol killed for - can be as cursed as jade statue. But then she will only make sure Igan's body gets out of the hole first, helping others to get to the surface next.
OOC: Sylyra has about a minute head start on the others. Where is he headed to?
Pulling the body out of the chamber is cumbersome but simple enough with Uragum's strength pulling it up and into the basement of the tower, though the sight causes Grim to wince. "The jade idol...you have the right of it. When Igan touched it...that is when the dead came to life and killed him and our colleague. If we knew that we'd be trapped for days by those things, do you think we'd have even come down here?" he comments.
"I do not know. You did leave your post for a treasure hunting and long lost treasures are rarely left unguarded. Still, this is not my concern, but your superiors and house Sokol, who can claim that treasure, by the way. All I am saying, is that treasure can be cursed too, you might want to be careful with it."
Sylyra climbs out of the tomb/temple/death trap, using the words Uragum used, but as soon as he is out of the tower, he pauses. He looks back at the tower entrance, then turns to head back to the house to find the servants and warn them that their master had been found and that the guards assigned to the island were treasure hunting instead of performing their proper duties.
Zelra nods as Grim explains how Igan died, preparing to climb out of the entrance. "I'm kind of surprised that those were the only undead you encountered, since we came across quite a few. Well, then again, we did poke around in places we probably shouldn't have."She chuckles to herself but pauses as she remembers something, looking to Grim amused."You guys really aren't good guards, are you? Igan was stabbed in the back."She clicks her tongue and shakes her head at the group of guards. "Tsk, tsk, sergeant. Should've kept a better eye on the noble. The Sokol family might have your head for this."
Grim maintains a stoic expression, but the guards behind him shift nervously when Ola and Zelra berate them. Strangely, at the mention of Igan's method of death, a draft blows eerily through the windowless chamber.
The guards climb solemnly up into the West Tower, walking alongside the party as you exit to the topside of Thorn Island. Ahead of the rest of the party, Sylyra can be seen nearing the entrance to the manse, having had a head start.
"You may be right," Grim responds to Zelra, his eyes shifting to the dock, where the ferry still rests, "Which is why we should take our leave now. The Black Fist will find someone to take our place here who won't...leave their post, as your friend put it."
Uragum let's out a little laugh, "yeah, I'm sure the Black fist will find some new group to watch it but don't think you aren't being handed over for disciplinary review." He gets up in Grimms face and says, "You, left your post. You, neglected your duties. You, got someone killed, or maybe you did the killing. So you, and your buddies don't just get to walk away with away with loot and no consequences." He pokes his finger into his chest at each "you" for emphasis.
"You are not leaving just yet," it was a statement, not a request or suggestion and Ola's cold tone did not leave much interpretation. "but we are, with the body of Igan. As far as I am aware, you did not get permission to return, I am surprised you even mention the leave." She indeed looked at Grim with a well expressed surprise."Once there we report our findings, while you can get much needed rest in the tower or in the house - as I see servants in the house are already warned about you coming there." "Don't worry, your Captain or fellow guards will be here soon."
With that she was the first one to go to the ferry with the full intent to ensure their group is loading on it first - without the rogue Black Fist with them.
Grim's breathing becomes short and shallow; he stares back at Uragum, defiant but wordless. Old man Karst is asleep at the docks when Ola arrives, waking suddenly with a shout until he sees her standing there. "What?" he asks.
At the mansion, Darvag answers the door, his brow lifted in curiosity at the sight of Sylyra. "Happy to see you again, good sir. We were wondering if you were still on the island at all. Is there anything I can do for you?" he asks.
Sylyra gives the man a quick smile that doesn't reach his eyes. "I have some good news and some bad news," he begins a bit coldly. "We have found your master and the Black Fist who were assigned to the island. They were below the west tower." The longer he speaks, the warmer Sylyra becomes. "We gained access to the dungeon through some investigation. Your master had discovered the cult that used to be located here had hidden a treasure below ground. However ..." The elf reaches out and places a hand on the man's shoulder sympathetically. "Igan's curiosity has cost him his life. We found his corpse." Removing his hand and changing his expression from sympathy to regret. "The Black Fist, however, were hiding in an adjacent room. They did not know how to leave the dungeon once Igan had been murdered." He nods. "Yes — stabbed in the back. Whether they are responsible for your master's death, we have yet to ascertain, but I can tell you Guard Sergeant Grim was especially reluctant to return with us. It seems very suspect."
At the docks, Karst grumbles, but shifts aboard the ferry, grabbing one pole and handing the other to whoever will take it. "Well get aboard, then. We should be in Phlan just in time for a good night's rest," he says.
When Zelra questions about the beacon, Grim gazes up to the dark lighthouse, concern furrowing his brow. "I wish I knew. As long as I've been stationed here, that light has been lit," he says. Another guardsman pitches in, "We don't even know how it stays lit so long, it just does. Maybe it finally ran out of fuel? Sure wasn't dark when we went under the tower."
At the mansion, Darvag's lips purse. He sighs, paces for a moment, then looks past Sylyra, saying softly, "Thank you for your help, anyway. If you are bringing Grim and the others back with you, I would ask that you please leave Igan's body with us. I will notify the family and begin the arrangements."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zelra's mouth opens wide in disbelief. "Are... are you kidding?? Oh my god. You- no. I don't believe you." She squints menacingly at the guards. "You better not be lying for some reason."

In an attempt to save my Nat20, the dice roll wasn't showing up for me so I edited the message with another roll to test if the dice bot was still working and then the results of the first showed up so i tried to get rid of the 2nd roll but now it's showing the warning. In hindsight, should've just posted a separate post but if you want me to reroll, just let me know.)
OOC: The ferry was barely big enough to get the party across to Thorn Island in one go. To transport the Black Fists across would require multiple trips.
Sylyra is still outside, at the entrance to the manor, so he can see the others near the docks from here.
For Zelra:
The guards all appear to be running on extremely frayed nerves, but they are being truthful. Grim in particular is doing a good job of hiding it, but he is wracked with guilt.

"We still need to get the light house functioning again? Perhaps if these "guards" help, their punishment would be more lenient?" Arnald suggests.
