He hesitates, grunts, and says, "Well, this morning, my troop was chasing some rumors of a new crime syndicate in the Cogs that we heard from a half-goblin. We followed his directions, and we came upon a room. A huge, grand room deep in the Cogs, made of black iron and some dark wood that I've never seen in my life. We had to take all the torches and burnable items we had and make a fire in the middle of the room to see what was inside, it was too dark. We looked around, and throughout the room were these statues. Very lifelike statues, made of stone. They were people of all sizes, shapes, and race. Warforged, Elf, Dwarf, Human, Orcs, Gnomes, nearly anything you'd find in Sharn. They were all complete statues, all with surprised or terrified looks on their face. In the back of the room, was a throne, a chair, made up of stone arms from humanoids, the arms shaped in different patterns. There had to be at least 100 statues. We didn't stay there, this isn't the job of the Watch. We find crime and arrest people, we don't slay basilisks, or beholders, or whatever created this room."

Scipio scoffs, "Well if it is too much of a challenge for you I suppose we can look into it. You can continue to strike fear into the bread thieves and pickpockets of the city. Is there a bounty posted for the beast? I've grown tired of waiting around in this city"

Insight 14 can I get a read on him. Was he really all bravado initially, did he seem scared of whatever was in the room, is he being truthful? (Edit, I probably don't know. Too focused on what Trogs look like.)
Durunga grunts sarcastically “We only capture and beat criminals... not in the business of protecting people.”
"Listen, cow." He says, aggressively, "The Watch is in charge of protecting people. We don't do dungeon delving. That's adventurer's jobs. We deal with immediate threats, not monster mysteries. I told you about this because you asked, you don't have to be rude."

"There is no bounty, as there is no beast as far as we know." He replies. "I'm sure there would be an award if you found the cause of this. For all we know, it could just be a strange manifest zone."

"Arrr Captain, Ey be thinkin we takin up more time than we need be. Hopes you be havin a good day, forgettin about us.". Rust Beard turns to the rest of the group and walks out of the Inn and stands outside, leaning on the wall of the Inn.
(Sorry for bothering you and I'm gone, have a better day.)
"My colleagues are brash but mean well. I believe we are heading to the cogs though, as the Trogs are attacking people any reward there? And if I don't ask nicely they'll pester so how do we get to the cogs and specifically the strange dark room that honestly we probably shouldn't go to?"
Whatever answers Telos gets he will accept and say thanks, as most (maybe all) of us already paid for tonight's stay as well he will say bye to Rosie and head out with Rust Beard and wait for the others.
Rust Beard is keeping an eye out for the people, looking for anyone interesting, or anyone who does not belong. He would also be keeping an ear open to hear if anyone is talking about the things falling from the sky.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Perception 21 Telos follows and tries to keep an eye out for shops. Not looking to stop on the way but I'd like to know where to go if we need something later.
"Telos, that's Duranga, Rust Beard, and Scipio." Telos points to each as they walk. "Appreciate the help, hopefully we can be productive and make it worthwhile. "
