MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

Elwarith, you know that for some reason, Bry is refusing to cast without theme music. It’s not that he can’t, it’s that he doesn’t want to. He is being unnecessarily stubborn, for some reason.

(OOC - I did say I closed my eyes, so I'm just going to ignore him)

Elwarith is now napping. Fakely, but convincingly.

Davmorn will roll his eyes, and sing, “Hey Bry, he’s so great. It’s hard to think of another man who would step up to the plate. With a ball of fire, he’ll lift us up higher, and topple that statue into a pyre!~ There, can ye throw it now?” 

Elwarith mumbles something about Bry having performance issues......

And Kasimir looks disappointed at this whole endeavor!

Bry's eyes flare with surprise as Davmorn sings his praise, "Now, that... was good enough" he said grinning as he chucked the fireball at the statue, never really looking where he was throwing it but more just keeping his eyes on Davmorn.

The fireball soars through the air, at 3rd level I assume, and impacts into the head of the statue for 26 fire damage! A yelp emits from the statues head before Kasimir casts Wall of Stone to block the front portion of the statue.

“There, we should be safe now...”

Elwarith cracks one eye open, and leans over to look around the pillar towards the statue but just sees a brick wall.

"I suppose that will work....." and he tries to stand up with the help of the pillar then say "wait....do statues normally yelp?"

"No....no way a statue should yelp" the Revenant gazes at Bry, Davmorn, and Kasimir, "Does we have any mean to dissolve that magical darkness? Maybe there's someone hidden somewhere near the statue..."

"Oh you mean my bright and shining personality won't nullify it?" Bry said, indicating by inference that he did not have a way to dissolve magical darkness

Elwarith will try to make his way to the base of the statue - assuming the stone wall is enough cover

Elwarith, make a perception check, with disadvantage due to the exhaustion.

It’s a statue? Though, one ould argue that its more of an artistic piece. Really one could have a whole debate upon the merits of the style of this temple. What were we doing again?

Elwarith sees nothing of note.

If anyone else would like to examine the statue, they may. Otherwise, the temple is yours to explore. The west and north lay unexplored.

Davmorn will make us way over and cast Cure Wounds at 2nd on Elwarith for 14.

”C’mon lad, get back up. We’re almost done. I’m hopin’...”

"Ah....well that's brought some color back to my otherwise pallid form..thanks Davmorn." Elwarith will stand up 

"But what about this Death Statue that almost killed me? it yelped when Bry hit it with a fireball....must be someone or something still inside?"

“Could be. I can take a look.” Davmorn walks around the base, Perception: 18, before shrugging, “Nothing. Sorry, lad. We could drop the wall, but that’ll open us up to attacks.”
