The Abbot nods solemnly, “I am afraid so. However,” He smiles, “I have found a cure for the man known as Strahd Von Zarovich. A way to finally end his tortured plight, and set him forth on the path of redemption, and she stands before you, my Visilka.” He gestures to the girl next to him, whose gaze is focused toward George. He looks a bit perplexed, and gently turns her head toward the rest of you all, “This way dear. Would you like to introduce yourself, Visilka?” Visilka stays silent for a moment, “Ur...su...la.” The Abbot sighs, “Oh well, we’ll work on it. In any case, Visilka will heal Strahd’s broken heart and restore him to a good and right standing.”

Bry stares at the woman then turns his gaze back to the Abott, "I believe in the power held in a woman's love just as much as the next man padre, but come again? How does she cure Strahd?"

Viorela narrows her eyes. This whole thing was preposterous. She couldn't help but say, "Love? Honestly, that is your plan?" She averts her eyes as she looks to the ground, a memory seems to unfold before her. "That devil, no, that pig of a monster... You think he hasn't laid with a woman since his turning? I don't know much," her voice grows more and more bitter, "but I know that monster isn't capable of love. If you send Visilka to him, she will be as good as dead. Just like all the others!" Despite herself she grows loud as locked away feelings spill out from her mouth, and eyes. "Excuse me," she rushes to go back outside and away from these idiotic men.

The Abbot sighs, “I do not expect her to see the reasoning behind my plan. It may very well be beyond her. However, I am confident that this is the key.”

"If what she says is true padre I don't see how your little lady here is going to help. But hey, can't hurt. But if I may ask, whats up with the hired help?" Bry nodded toward the two mixed figures that led them here.

Bry was confused as to why someone would ask for Beastial traits, but nonetheless it had happened. "So padre, what do you know of those who killed Strahd before, did they do it in a specific manner?"

“I do not recall much of the other, but you stand in the courtyard of the other’s abbey. Saint Markovia herself attempted to kill Strahd. You see the two had an long and intense mutual hatred, but her own life was lost in the process. Oddly poetic in a tragic sense. She was infused with the power of the Morninglord himself, while Strahd was destroyed in his entirety. Not even the mists were left after his death, but as you can see, that did not last long. Now do you see why I don’t attempt to fight him? It’s a futile struggle.”

"If he can not help us, then we need not waste more time here with him and his monstrosities....." 

At that the Abbot turns to Elwarith, “My monstrosities? I have been patient with you, yet I see the stains upon your soul. You, a hired assassin, soaked in the blood of both the innocent and the guilty, continue have the gall to judge me?” The Abbot walks to the point where he and you are but inches apart, and he just stares with those same, piercing eyes.

"Don't flatter yourself.....I judge everyone I meet.  As for the condition of my soul, that is between my god and myself and no concern of Lathander.  When was the last time this land even saw the sun....Dawnbringer....." that word delivered with a hint of sarcasm in his voice  "We came here seeking allies for the war against Strahd and clearly you are not going to be of any help so we are wasting our time here.  It is abundantly clear to me that you fear Strahd as much as any of the other Barovians.  Love will not 'save' him, and your pretty little construct.." he'll point to the girl "will get used and tossed aside like the rest if he even bothers to pay her that much attention."

(OOC - TBH - we did come for allies - and he seems to me to either not care or is delusional and I believe our time is better spent either confronting Strahd or finding allies who are actively trying to remove Strahd and more likely to help us.  Not sure how the rest of y'all feel)

“You presume much! I am no Barovian and I will not be lectured by you, mortal!!” With that, the Abbot’s form explodes in a corona of light. As the blazing Radiance condenses, the Abbot’s priestly vestiments have been cast aside. An imposing figure with great white wings, eerily pale skin, and burning white eyes is revealed. “I do not fear, Strahd! I have sacrificed everything to save this land, and I will sacrifice much more if it means it’s salvation.“ 

It would seem that Elwarith’s high persuasion has managed to pierce the Abbot’s facade! His true form has now been revealed.
