MistBusters - A Curse of Strahd PbP

The man smiles, in which you notice two razor sharp canines. "I would think that my name precedes me, but I suppose I cannot hold it against you outsiders."  He stands to his full height, shorter than George but still taller than many in your group, "I am Count Strahd von Zarovich, Dark Lord and Master of Barovia, the Rightful Ruler of this Land, and the devil himself, or so I've been told.  It is a pleasure to drink you, I'm sorry, meet you all."  Strahd gives a faux bow to you all, still smiling a cunning grin.

George get out axe.  "You bad.  George kill."  George rage.  George attack.  15

George run into tree. 

George charges toward Strahd, however, Strahd tosses his glass of wine into the air, steps to the side, and catches it as it falls. George runs into a tree, but for a brief moment, Strahd locks eyes with George and mutters, "Come now, sit." ((George, make a Wisdom save.))

George stupid. 

As Strahd tells George to sit, George realize, Strahd not bad! Strahd friend all along! Strahd misunderstood, tragic figure! George should do what new friend says. New friend only want best for George!

George charmed by Strahd. Additionally,The charmed target regards Strahd as a trusted friend to be heeded and protected. The target isn’t under Strahd’s control, but it takes Strahd’s requests and actions in the most favorable way and lets Strahd bite it.
Each time Strahd or his companions do anything harmful to the target, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. Otherwise, the effect lasts 24 hours or until Strahd is destroyed, is on a different plane of existence than the target, or takes a bonus action to end the effect.

Strahd then turns to the rest of the group, "Now, how did you put it? Ah yes, 'let us converse as our gods intended it, like civilized beings...' Shall we?" Strahd says with a motion to sit. "George, sit with your friends."

Adanmar step forward in front of Ireena facing the Vampire Lord, he reach the quiever nocking an arrow on his longbow with a single flowing move. He don't attack but have the finger ready to release the projectile

"And what are you doing here Lord Strahad? What's the aim of this visit?"

Strahd takes a long sip of wine, leaving the question hanging in the air as he refills the glass, "You see, it's so rare that I have such forms of entertainment. Naturally, I would want to come see who I have allowed into my realm. It helps me to determine who among you is the most interesting, and who will make excellent minions when I inevitably kill you all." He takes another casual sip of wine. You can see that he doesn't really regard any of you as a threat in this moment. It's almost like a caretaker playing war with children, he doesn't seem to feel any real sense of danger.

Bry sits down across from Strahd and waves his hands so that his coin appears, it begins to trail down his knuckles. "See, I have a problem with being killed, I'm a big fan of talking things through. So, what is it that you really desire?"

"It's not what I want, it's what I desire returned to me." Strahd gestures to Ireena, "My sweet Tatyana... taken by my brother, by fate, and now by you... That is all that I truly desire." The smile fades from Strahd's face as he explains.

Bry looks confusingly at Ireena, "Why do you call this woman Tatyana, we know her to be Ireena?"

"This woman is my treasured love, Tatyana, reborn. Fate has deemed fit to return my love to me, reincarnated to life once again." As he says this, Ireena is still standing frozen in fear. Strahd continues, "So, I give you a chance. A chance to stop this before it begins. Return my love to me, and the mists of Barovia will open before you. You will be free to return home. If you wish to stay, you may, and you will be as the Vistani, free to come and go as you wish." Strahd's casual demeanor has now all but left. His eyes are cold and focused. The offer sounds more like a command than a request in the way that he says it.

Bry looks to Ireena, then back to Strahd, "If she loves you, then she should want to come with you right?"

Strahd folds his hands and places them under his chin, "Alas, my sweet Tatyana has forgotten me in death... Only in returning to me shall her long forgotten memories arise again. I'm sure a man as charismatic as yourself can understand lost loves, yes?" His eyes flash again as he looks into Bry's own. ((Bry make a wisdom save!))

((Strahd is on one side of the fire, you all are on the other. Is Samudra still a horse?))

"We are here on a job, and that is to escort the Lady Ireena to Vallaki.  And I am afraid you are just not part of that deal Lord von Zarovich."  Elwarith inclines his head towards Strahd.  "As for your 'threat', many people, some more powerful than you, have tried to kill me, yet here I stand."
